like my setting where it's like no motion smoothing or anything I didn't know whether to do that or filmmaker mode uh you I mean if you have it all turned off on filmmaker mode you know usually that's going to match the brightness of your room a little bit better but if you have like an ideal set up uh filmmaker Mode's great okay cool cool how's this going Mike I think I got a pattern figured out here now okay sweet the thing is that so like I'm at Zer life zero continues again so this is just practice but eventually if I can kill this T-Rex in one go that's not good I was seeing stuff on Instagram of like MVP and Batista at the Dune 2 premiere and it's like oh man I want to see Dune 2 with MVP and Batista I would I would just carry a extra pair of tiny glasses and be like can you wear stories one is I was in an Uber heading towards WrestleMania 33 in Orlando and there was like major traffic and we were like pretty far from the stadium and we looked over and there was somebody charging like $40 or $20 or something for parking and next to the guy holding the sign Virgil was just standing in the parking lot eating a snow cone and I to grab my friends like is that Virgil eating a snow cone and we all look over like yep that's definitely virtual eating the snow cone uh the other one I was working backstage at WrestleMania 37 the Tampa one the first one post pandemic or the first one with people in the crowd and oh nice um and uh I suddenly there was like kind of a panic backstage and a bunch of producers and stuff running around and being like um Virgil we don't know how he got to this door but he's like gone to an area of like around the stadium that fans were not allowed access to and he was banging on the door to the backstage area where like the Buccaneers come in and he was claiming that he was part of the show and trying to like get backstage at WrestleMania and everyone was trying to figure out how to keep Virgil from getting backstage that was my other experience with them incredible sounds like Virgil yep starting to get a lot of smudgy makeup on this PlayStation controller how'd that happen that's a mystery that is what I associate Virgil with like what's Virgil doing here like that this whole what's virtual doing here a lot of that yeah that was he made a career out of that yeah EXA which I I hey I respect that oh it was on a demo disc that I had which by the way I do want to do a demo very soon uh but it was you could pick uh Luke and I can't remember if it was Luke and Vader were the two selectable in the demo but just the idea of like I think it was like R2 or something you could hit and it would it would pull out the lightsaber just the novelty to me of like playing a character where like I can just in a fighting game and I can press a button and bring the lightsaber out I guess that wasn't just done to death as much back then and I thought it was so cool to do that in the fighting game uh and so I I kind of like that I played that demo a bunch yeah there's something fun and funky about masters of teras Kazi absolutely yeah yeah that uh dark Forces is out now I was playing that this morning that's really good I've never played that oh it's fine remove from Nostalgia would it be fun uh yes I mean do you like Doom style Shooters like OG Doom it's the best one of those yep what the best the on my face like this is not what I I was so [ __ ] excited I remember had my mom take me to like a CBS or something right at like on Christmas because they were the only ones open I had to get batteries and see what the virtual Virtual Fighter was like and [ __ ] no was not like that I uh I don't think I ever ended up using one of those but I think I idea would be kind of like I think I was burnt after Virtual Boy was like sure like learning I know virtu boy is just kind of like a red screen in there and yeah it's like 3D but not impress I think I I think I had a very similar experience way I thought about it more the level two is like at least challenging like in some ways that like it's all I have to play these these boss fights are like more like actually fighting people in a played it a million times since it came out even recently so it's not like it's you know it's not like oh wow the Nostalgia like I'm used to Mario 64 but I kind of got myself in the head space of the first time I ever like laid hands on it like a Target kiosk and like it made me thinking like is that for me I think it is I don't know about you guys the biggest like oh my God everything's changing like this is the biggest like C change I can imagine video games is what I'm seeing right now it's like it seemed like magic like literally in this last week I had it was the same exact thing where I was like the kid was playing it and and I was just thinking like man I was trying to explain to her like hey when I was you know I was older than you are now but when I first saw this at a Toys R Us kiosk and and actually played it and I had been seeing it in magazines and then to see it in motion and actually control it and realizing that it was everything I thought it could be uh and more it was mindblowing yes it's absolutely the biggest like oh my God this is real moment for me in games yeah like ever ever ever like yes like it's kind of not even close yeah yeah okay oh yeah wouldn't just make okay God this is the hard one isn't it [ __ ] they even fight the hard one cool I cuz like if if they had put out a Super Mario platformer that was you know using a bunch of that silicon graphic stuff like Donkey Kong Country and it was like you know it looked a little bit like cleaner cuz it was actually made by Nintendo or whatever like we would have been like yeah of course this is what they're going to look like now this is what you know new 3D games look like but it's still a 2d platformer we would have been like yep that makes all the sense in the world the fact that they immediately went to here's a full 3d World you can run around in and it feel feels great that was mind-blowing oh wow that went really well that was good mik nice okay kind of I I killed all three of them I just got to get up to like one of these three already Jesus that's all three I just got to get up to like one of these places to use the keys I think I've never had all three keys right we we did not figure out what to do but I assume I got to go to one of these pillars hopefully I can find some potions along the way here you know as much of a Mario Mark as I am and always have been like I didn't have a 64 for like a long long time like it wasn't until gold night came out and I got obsessed like all right fine I'll [ __ ] trade in a lot of stuff and and get this so like and then even then I didn't like do 120 stars or anything so like I feel like I didn't own Mario 64 until like 2 years after it came out I feel like I never got 120 Stars until I did the like Mario marathon thing in 2012 for game inform forer oh wow so like it's so weird like but but I still like that feeling of that Target kiosk of playing it I mean like oh my [ __ ] God I never actually got to play it that much I remember that cuz for me I was actually at some uh Toronto theme park called Ontario Place that had a whole section of early N64 kios and that's where I play Mario 64 yeah nothing's ever going to be like playing that game for the first time nothing you know like yeah I was insane that was like the one time I convinced my parents to get me a system at launch was the N64 and that was uh so I I had that it was like it was like a Holy Experience for me it was truly special and then I yeah definitely did 120 Stars right away played that game to death yeah I didn't do 120 Stars till about 5 years ago okay let's see GTA 3 was big but it was like I remember talking with my friends we were playing GTA 2 like on Dreamcast or something only one of the keys work here I got to go to the other ones oh my God that's incredible that sucks what a [ __ ] game uh we I was I talked to my friends we'd be like what they you know if they made another Grand Theft Auto they should like make it 3D and bring the camera down and so when Grand Theft Auto 3 came out and it was that like yes this makes all the sense in the world so it wasn't even like uh too surprising it was just kind of awesome that it like worked as and it was fun as it was yeah I remember thinking it was going to be [ __ ] huge cuz like I liked one and two a lot and I saw those first screenshots of it on PS2 like oh if if this is like that but 3D it's going to be [ __ ] huge but like it's still you can't compare that to the first time controlling a character in 3D the way you did with Mario you know yep fact that they made like Mario 64 and like 18 months basically like was a little bit longer than that but a lot of that was just like QA one it's wild there's a there's a guy that uh like decompiles Mario 64 and he's like building his own uh like mod of Mario 64 but in part of doing that he wants to get running on the original uh hardware and so he's made a bunch of improvements to the code of in to to Mario 64 and he's got it running at like 60 frames per second on original Hardware all this stuff it's you like dump a ROM and play it on like a everdrive or something yes you it totally it works on real hard I want to try that like on a Mis or something oh [ __ ] that'd be great am I missing here um God I wish I could play sunshine in 60 FPS that that's a game that's kind of rough to have locked at 30 FPS though got to stop doing that no one's trying to fix Sunshine unfortunately hey hey what's the one that there's the is the the lunar Odyssey or what's the there's some like mov there's a fan there's a
