Graham it's great to be here and Ben I I was gonna say something like I read your diary last night I was trying to find a red pun yeah but I don't know do you keep a diary I know I don't I should but I don't yeah I read your Bujo last night I do oh I call it the Scarlet Letter Scarlet's yeah I got it yeah okay this has been everybody this is the next in our ongoing series of mono Commander Knights we've done is this the is this the last one no we have not done uh black yeah oh have we done modeling yeah yeah how many alishorns were there we definitely didn't Bloom we've done one uh green I remember because green we got like five games in yes we got three three games three games only three I thought there was more time for new record tonight that's what we were saying uh probably yeah um oh we could do also I think there's enough that we can do mono artifact too yeah that sounds great but for tonight it's mono red and before we get into it you find out our commanders and all that let us get underway so I'm playing uh Jaya Ballard task Mage this is a deck that you might have seen before on the show effing years ago I have absolutely no idea how long ago it would have been since I played this this is not exactly the same list it's been updated slightly they haven't really printed a lot of new red Madness cards but let me tell you what Jaya does one red red for two two human spell shaper spell shaper means you can discard cards to do stuff um so red and tap and discard a card destroy Target blue permanent super useful one in a red and tap and discard a card she deals three damage to her creature a player a creature adult damage this way can't be regenerated this turn and five red red and tap and discard a card giaboward Ballard deals six damage to each creature and each player so the main uh theme of the deck is discarding so there's cards with Madness with unearth retrace uh stuff like that the sub theme number one is Jaya yeah sub theme number two is chaos yay all right I'm there for that because I feel like why not it's commander and this deck is not great and uh we're having a good time not alone yeah who knows how these games are going to go definitely not here for a long time no yeah so do we want to introduce as we go around I'll just sure yeah yeah let's do that I promise you my first turn is not going to be that exciting I'm going to draw a card play a basic Mountain love these mountains from future site and that's my turn go ahead hello I am bringing our good friend the biggest piggus biggest biggest ill hog the raised bore is here five Mana gets you a six six trampler and whatever it attacks you may put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking return that creature to your hand at the beginning of the next end step and when it dies or is put into Exile I can put it on top of its Library third from the top or just back into the command Zone uh my deck is about plain large creatures with etbs okay that's what I got I've got I've got creatures I've got acceleration and I've got um beep beep beep beep all right all right draw for the turn one two three all right then all right I'm actually gonna play I can't show this off too well this is an altered land that I got from Jamie topples no no she does she does art cute yeah I I honestly I feel bad that I can't remember where I got this altar but this is you might have been able to see is a as a full art altar extension yeah somebody somebody did that yeah I don't remember where I got this and it's not signed so pass upkeep I'll explain my commander my commander is the tyrant uh four in a red for a three three when dong Joe comes into play choose one of my opponent's creatures that creature deals damage uh to its controller equal to its power so so just on the ETB when this CTB is I pick your creature and that creature deals damage yeah while you hurt yourself yeah there's a couple of cool things about this Commander number one uh that's not how you actually spell this guy's name oh because this is p3k so it's a real or at least a heavily mythologized real person z h u o uh and then secondly I try to uh make this deck on moxfield and it got flagged for profanity uh because the thing was like hey this is a family website d-o-n-g not cool and so I messaged boxfield I'm like trying to build it back here oh understand so now uh congratulations if you are building a dungjo deck you can now have your Commander's name in the deck title yeah yeah a question though does that mean you're literally the first person who's ever made this commander deck or they've never catch this before uh I don't know yeah man I do wonder why I was six Mana three three sorry yeah yeah yeah uh I'd like to go to my draw step you got it okay great draw oh I'm gonna play a snow-covered mountain and pass oh we got two snowies so I'm gonna be honest I don't have a snow theme I just didn't have enough basic mountains so I have 50 50. okay I'm gonna be running a spread yeah nope all right uh I guess I I drew I missed my talk about my guy Commando am I talking about my guy thing uh some of you who watched PPR might be familiar with soul Femme uh I did a whole Deck Tech on him he's a 5'4 with a for two red red that says if a source eye control would deal non-combat damage to an opponent or permanent in opponent controls it deals double damage to that player or permanent instead and for one forexia frexian red Mana I can discard two cards and put an indestructible counter on him uh this is not that deck this is a different soul film deck that I brewed that you will very quickly pick up on the theme but I want to keep it a surprise for twitch chat or people that don't read my Twitter for you huh do we have a source on solfem's pronouns uh that I'm just saying them like she her apparently all sure one interesting she heard okay cool all right all right there you go uh so I am going to play a great furnace and yes nice um someone reminded me I'm gonna draw here someone reminded me that um I think that this altar is actually by Marshall wait really yeah among the many thing you know repairing watches commentating on Pro tours he also is very talented to painting I know that he did the altar of my um cigarda but I forgot that he probably also did this one so that's very exciting I had no idea yeah uh all right Mountain into fire diamond yeah let's go all right which was my draw there so glad I got to do something on two go ahead draw I also have a two gram it's basically a box Diamond welcome to Diamond a lot of these a lot of these decks are playing really similarly here yeah it's true uh I'm gonna play an inventors fair oh more like I'm not gonna do it so when it enters the battlefield I discard a card if I do draw a card it's enchantment that and then for one sacket uh creature control get hastened until I'm Different uh so surprise not surprised at all I'm gonna discard a dragon's approach uh which is uh the theme of the deck oh I hope this shows up on the reader this there's 30 of these in my deck are you sure you're playing this in your deck yeah yeah we don't we don't have this in your decklist there's 30 copies of this dick hold on how many Dragon approaches are you running in that dude at least 30 my dude and and how many lands uh 39 38 something like that uh dragon's approach is a card that deals three damage to each opponent I made Exile dragon's approach and four cards named Drake's approach for my graveyard if I do I search my leg library for a dragon and I put it onto the battlefield then Shuffle you can have as many copies of name dragons approach in your deck as you'd like so I know you still have to resolve your trigger but I have a very important question yes so we're all playing mono red decks yes and you have 30 cards that are the same in your deck yeah how many unique cards do you think are in all of our decks I would be able to answer that do we even do we even pass 300 uh maybe I don't know uh so my list has 300 and six oh that's more than I thought 309 but that's including uh multiple Arts of some of the cards right so you have two different Fire diamonds right now okay go ahead buddy thank you oh I brought that over so we don't so our drink stopped casting Shadows on the table oh I didn't even notice that yeah good call no worries all right I have drawn I'm gonna play a further Mountain what shall I do with four Mana whatever Union draws two cards and I drew two it was sick what's sick messed up Shenanigans while I try to get to now uh magic magic the Gathering all right a deck Master game okay about how unfair your deck is Graham I don't know I mean yeah he's pretty hype yeah here you have a red dye thank you I'm gonna just I'm gonna use coth for uh ramp in red minus two to add red to my pool for each Mountain I control which is three and I'll play try a Ballard what a turn that's not giant how do they do that there we go uh quarter Circle forward I think so yeah all right that's the turn go for it all right untap draw for the turn I'm gonna play a mountain three Mana I'm going to cast Commander sphere oh yeah nice and then I'm going to tap Commander sphere to add a mana and cast a shadow spear Commander's sphere into Shadow spear oh Sailor's Delight [Laughter] red deck at night yeah God redneck in morning go back to bed yup doesn't it doesn't have to rhyme shut up I'm gonna play a Terrain generator let's go I love this card mono red ramp ramp and I'm going to play Delena wild me oh nice I don't remember this ice rolling uh four Mana three two whenever it attacks I choose to Target creature in control then I roll a D20 if it's one to four I create a token uh I created Captain attacking token that's a copy of that creature except it's not legendary and it has XL this creature at end of combat and if I roll 15 to 20 I create one of those tokens but then I roll again okay okay well that's really cool all right untap draw uh I'm going to play a mountain for the turn and then I'm going to tap for one and play a Mana Bolt oh oh we've all figured out how to ramp in red artifacts yeah yeah terrain generator uh okay and then using that I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to tap for five uh and play solfem oh no you got one floating still I have one floating still so uh as they come and and then I'm gonna use that one floating and take four damage excuse me uh to uh activate Soul film's ability oh right uh so okay if we can indestruct it gets an indestructible counter and I'm gonna discard two dragons approaches okay I think we actually have the indestructible counter so I'm gonna grab those as I pass it to you all right neat so it's a it's a five four okay yeah it's a Five Points five four indestructible well that just seems like it would help keep these just in case indestructible you say I mean I have a shadow spear right here it's not that scary yeah oh right yeah I literally have an answer it's really not that big yeah everyone's like oh no no I'm just straight away I was just sorry I was just sort of like in my head I was like just red like chaos yeah right yeah in fact red would almost be like one of the better ones I guess to deal with indestructible I think in some ways I'm certainly not being like Oh yeah honestly I think green is weakest too yeah I mean yeah because blue and brown effects really is kind of it yeah um white has Exile black has minus minus counters to get around from it and red has just some weird funky effects you know yeah blue bounces white Exiles yeah all right have four Sailors warning yeah I think we're all pretty spooky you get a pig next turn with haste yeah I'm worried about that but not so worried that I'm gonna spend my time doing something stupid see it uh lightning cloud we are laughing I've never heard of it this sounds funny from Visions it's an enchantment I pick compare red it deals one damage to creature player use this ability only when a red spell is cast and only once for each spell meta gaming this was always in the deck I know right now and here I was saying no dragons Club so anytime anyone casts a red spell I can pay a red and Deal One damage to something this is giving me flashbacks to when uh we're playing I think one of the games I played against you and you're running choke and I was the only blue player and I was like oh sick uh [Music] um 36. okay go ahead sir all right so I saw the top card which I'm trying right now right and I have a very important question okay yes how do we feel about our hands how do you feel about your hand are you gonna wheel well I could uh because my top card is reforged the soul well it depends on how many Dragon approaches you want am I that's probably yeah so I mean if I do wheel do it if I do wheel I don't get to Pig this turn right that's true so I could I could desperate to Pig and and that all my deck wants to do is to Pig but then I got this five Mana wheel in hand oh you know what I'm gonna wheel I'm gonna wheel Canada's favorite game show wheel or okay I'm discarding a skitter being Italian a Thunderball hell kite uh valikut Exposition and a and a mountain so fudgicles is all I'm gonna say no oh did you man what are you discarding I have a mountain a wheel of Misfortune a dragon's approach yeah and a thrumming stone what's drummingstone do throwing Stone uh spells that control of Ripple four [Laughter] sexy noodle let's do wheeler I'm getting rid of two mount snow covered mountains yeah eventual ancestor a plundering Barbarian which would have been an answer to throwing stone at least and a mirror margin oh boy okay I've got incendiary command urz's rage uh chandra's Phoenix and faithless looting faithless loot all right everybody draw seven to help I will be able to because key Forge Alchemist says Ripple yeah right it's uh phrase you don't hear a lot I think it's printed on like what four cards five cards five so Ripple is when a spell has Ripple it's six rip receipt rip the the N amount of cards off of depending on what the number is uh and you can cast the Spells uh with the same name yeah as it one of the worst mechanics of all time yeah so it just like agree just so offensive all right you hit my Miracle oh so ironically I drew Robert of the rich but everybody has more cards and handed me now wait no they don't because I play the land robber of the rich wait Robert yeah now we all have more cards it's good I'm actually a genius okay brilliant how am I so smart wait everybody has a blocker though uh Graham you probably wouldn't want to trade your giant for my robber of the ritual gym probably not all Ripple spells are foreign Library dream any turn you attack with a rogue you may cast it right I don't even lose it forever does anybody have graveyard order matters cards not automatic no can I separate my dragons approaches yes yeah this is also probably good info for everybody I'm putting Phoenix on top you've got how many four in my bin oh no so if I cast it I get to do the the thing the thing and you've got 30 in the deck 30. and you just drew seven yes what are the chances yeah you know the meme anyway Robert the rich yeah Graham I Choose You So it's got a first strike no it's a 2-2 with reach and haste and whenever it attacks if defending player has more cards in hand than you Exile the top card of your library during any turn that you attack to the Rogue you may spend Mana as though of any color to Exile that spell so that's an attack trigger yeah I just hold on exit the top card of their Library oh my God their Library so how many cars you have in hand uh I currently have five cards in hand and I played five cars okay so I can't discard enough to do that all right well this hat and it's Exile face up right yes yeah it's public so uh avacyn's judgment okay I don't know what that does so avison's judgment uh for you it's a two-man a shock I think I want to say yeah or two Mana Forks one of the it's one of them one of the better Madness cards I think hydrator's sleepy today wake up wake up little buddy come on all right well it's under this it's exiled and then I'm makehouse at this turn but I've chosen not to I'll give it the boots just to protect it all right retrospect the post combat boots well it has haste either way uh okay yeah you're right you are correct that I'm not blogging you're attacking me right oh yeah yeah would you like to trade with your commander no you don't want to kill coth [Laughter] if defending player oh my card is not on your decklist ever since judgment oh great that's why we couldn't find the art it was in the deck that's so that's not a new addition I'm sorry Paul my bad your deck chaos warped itself I passed sure weird okay delena's so fun you had to Lena mirror March Taylor that's sick she's attacked cough I might have activated giant to kill the robber but that would have you still would have gotten the trigger so oh you could have speak I mean you have plenty of opportunities to pay one of mad Mana yeah yeah I figure I just hold up the red in case but yeah I'm gonna play witch's Clinic oh very nice good land I should have put that in there are the commander games it's like one of my favorite Commander cards I've never seen that I had a card that shut down Life game and I was like [Laughter] I mean I've got Shadow spear as well so plenty of LifeLink going around the cast bothersome closet a three minute three two Menace goated with the sauce coated creatures your opponent's control can't sauce uh and whenever I cast a non-creature spell go Target creature and opponent controls amazing oh man with the Lena that's sick too yeah I exhale them at the end of combat though so I'm going to cast Arcane Signet uh and my quasi triggers I am going to goad sulfum you got it uh combat come at me okay you you asked for it I'm gonna attack surge with Delena trigger targeting the bothersome quizzes we need a D20 d20s are in the other they're in the other um right there thingy let's see it ten I just make a copy to have to attack it uh which will go at cough of the hammer oh cause of the hammer gazoon type wait cough of the hammer is that the three two yeah I have no blocks with Menace he's killing your Planeswalker G man I'm not the bad guy here uh uh all right I will activate Jaya to no because that costs two oh whoops so the uh the copy doesn't need to be attacking the same thing which one doesn't with Menace no I guess causes that no how much damage do I take we just got him back I'm at 37. I can't believe Serge would kill coffee r d told me he was safe okay I'm gonna untap uh I can't pay for the manifold so myself for the turn surgery drew me into a very goofy hand cool let's see it I'm gonna play a mountain yeah uh I'm gonna play a Mana Crypt [Laughter] okay I'm gonna tap the Mana Crypt play silver ring with one floating uh [Music] uh I still have one floating I'm going to tap for one uh to play Dragon Tempest which is whenever a creature with flying enters the battlefield of my control gains haste uh whatever a dragon enters the battlefield in my control it deals X damage to any Target where X is the number of dragons in control hell yeah and then for three Mana let's go all right cast dragons approach I'm gonna pay one to lightning cloud to ping you for one that's fair bend down to 34. all right what happens so everyone's gonna take six damage okay I'm at 31. because soul firm doubles the no one at a time sorry a fact third uh and then I am going to do the thing I'm going to Exile five copies of dragon's approach you may Exile dragon's approach and four cards named dragons approach from your graveyard so it's that one and the four that were already in there yes and then you get to search for Dragon and put it onto the battlefield everyone's good with this oh yeah no no I'm not I'm not gonna stop it I just want to make sure I want to make sure everyone in chat knows exactly what dragon's approach is doing to uh speed this game to a hasty conclusion uh I don't think it's gonna end here uh I don't honestly the the way the way that my deck instant kills everybody is throwing Stone if throwing Stone had resolved oh this game would have been honestly over because it just what is oh because then you just get to every spell has Ripple four so I like it ripped each it would dragon's roach would happen and then go four deep and if it hits a dragon's Broach that one will also Ripple because it has the same name as dragons approach so on so forth this is a singlesome format bin Yeah well yeah it's against this that's awesome the spirit of it um so I have two choices um based on what's on the board it's like kind of minor but I could grab bail fire dragon but I want to go with the much more fun one um so you're not getting bail fire direct I am not going to get bail fire dragon I'm gonna grab an old classic boy Noel spine Dragon which is when an etb's I may discard my hand and draw cards equal to the damage dealt to Target opponent this turn oh which in this case is six yeah it's about to be eight potentially it could be yeah it could be more if you can you order the trigger such that you get oh that's true I could do that you know what you're correct yeah don't hit me for two please uh well who's got the most HP no ground I do actually yeah all right yeah so null smile will enter uh dragon Tempest will yeah sure let's deal we'll do one doubled yeah one doubled I could I couldn't design any Target it is oh dang all right yeah okay um two target creature or player any all our creatures have two toughness yeah um you can't Target my guy he's in I think I I as much as I do want to like deal with Graham's Commander I think I just got to shoot the closet I think it's go goaded with the sauces spooky yeah who did we go by the way um might also lead to that uh would anybody like to track my dick all right so null spine comes on in and and sees that eight damage oh I guess it's two target opponent oh you're right do you only get to draw eight if dragon's temper yes yeah six cards is enough I think it's fine that's coward speak so you get to draw sick you get to discard what three mountains three mountains and and draw why don't you've drawn 14 cards in in two terms yeah uh and then no spine also has haste yeah uh and so but sophom has to attack so I'm less inclined to attack with null spine sulfum has to attack somebody has a surge sorry surgery myself yes so in this case I guess you've got the most so yeah all right I take now it's non-combat damage it is so it would just be five I take five Commander damage but five nonetheless uh Commander and then there's a bad draw uh Paul's keeping track of it I really like that yeah I thought I mean you never know uh go ahead all right welcome welcome to when Ben and I said beside each other Commander by the way we literally just showed up [Laughter] sweatiest person you can imagine at home no no no no no that's hidden information you're not allowed to do that they're all red they're all red oh okay now you show Paul your hand hey Paul hey wait a minute yeah well your cards are red as well I know a clue oh that could be interesting alternately that could be really stupid I mean look do the stupid place yeah hell yeah hell yeah all right well here's the first one this this one's not this one's not that strange this is adamaro first to desire oh yeah I was thinking about making this dude for this for today uh could you pass me a D12 these are not counters but I'm just gonna use this to track it you have seven cards in here I have six six which is the most you still have seven wheelers five five all right so this is a six six because it's power and toughness equal to the number of cards in the hand of the opponent with the most cards in hand oh that's beautifully worded for playing the Savers and call me I thought you might like that um and now for something really stupid Graham's got all the hits I hope you're prepared for the repercussions of repercussions yes this probably just helps Ben but it could help anybody I don't know whatever so yeah whenever a creature is dealt damaged repercussion deals that much damage to that creature's controller so this just makes everything go wing and also if it's from uh no because it's repercussion dealing the damage so sulfum doesn't get to double that thing um cool but uh it still is very silly can I read Soul film again yeah yeah um end of turn permanence my opponent's control lose hex proof and indestructible okay untap I love that draw for the turn I have a question it's a counter but the counter stays around yeah oh yeah yeah okay the counter just does nothing for a second sure I just was always it's it's like oddly it's it's an odd thing where it's like if it's got a keyword counter and it loses very briefly so if him is like why do I have this this like this break this like gray sphere and like oh oh it's indestructible right right so I don't die yeah um you're so thin is tapped oh it is yep I'm sorry obviously I had to get the uh giant Ballard memoriam secret lair as you can see how big is your dragon bed Ben 75 it is here to block that's it that's it and then Graham has a six six I'll trade with your pig if you want but no I don't because good news wheeler Trade four people's gonna attack you ah all right so cast the pig the biggest pig is arrived oh boy I'm gonna give it well you win all right I'm gonna give it away you win the getting attacked by the pig no no no no you do have five cards in hand yeah uh grandma and cards you have in hand oh uh five six the stupid robber of the rich also has to attack Ben now I'm pretty sure when I attack here even though I have when it attacks which is there a way is there a way that I can make the most cards is there a way that I can manipulate the trigger such that I attack I put a creature in hand which makes it four and thus if I attacked Ben my robber of the Rich would see four cards in hand instead of five so ilharg is they're both attack triggers right okay they they happen at the exact same time yeah you should be but this has an intervening if whenever it attacks if defending player has more cards in hand so I don't know I have six if that you want to just I don't know I'm not a judge anymore so this is on you no help no I just so no it doesn't yeah that's what I thought yeah I thought because all right but Ben I do have a treat for you so I'm going to attack wheeler with both of these and then I have I have a triggered ability from ilharg the combustible gear heart is here to play oh okay so it is a six six First Strike yeah attacking you and the triggered ability um it's attacking me yes and the I'm also choosing you for the ability so when it enters the battlefield Target opponent Ben may have you draw three cards if that player doesn't okay all right three I'll draw three I'm all about listening I'm just Wheeling I want everybody to wheel with me yeah all right all right okay um wheeler eight damage okay and then Ben Ben would you like to block the six five no you got it you take six second main I want this game to be quick which of that is Commander damage six of its Commander damage to Wheeler yeah yeah the second name amazing card to hit with elharg gamble all right second so I get to look for any jumble any card in my back to the scramble let's let's jamble any card in my deck and then and then Graham yeah why don't you why don't you choose a random card in my hand and I have to discard that one this is your hand there's so many cards in here I just got to draw three yeah all right almost like I planted so your robber of the rich can never get card value again no how could you sorry surgery boy I have decided okay it's it goes in your graveyard flip it right onto the card reader you have to discard oh my God Graham sorry the panharmonicon there we go straight into the doo-doo bin let's go so sad sick and tomb oh man how could you I picked a video one in seven I don't know all right amazing I'm gonna go to my end step and ilharg is going to return the combustible gear Hulk to my hand oh man you get to keep doing that yeah yeah he's sick that would be really funny with gear Hulk though panharmonicon right yeah all right everyone's Brews are so much spicier than mine I love it no yours is great I mean you have a savior's card I'm like let's go this is like this is this is this is one of the Decks that I built the initial version of years ago where it was just like I don't know what card is this that seems fun moderate flavor by the way I now have seven cards in hand so adamant I'm gonna uh-huh perfect I'm gonna cast insufferable balladeer two minutes day one when etv's Target the creature to put a controls can't block this turn goad it um I would like to go to your dragon you guys showing up why doesn't keep showing up because it's blue I guess the play mat is waiting sorry I would like to do a thing I played this land first okay emergency okay I mean I'm going to play this balladeer I'm also going to get a little greedier with it uh in response to that I'm sacrificing my nose this is awkward uh whenever a non-token creature enters the battlefield under my control I can pay red if I do put a token into play that's a copy of close it's close does Rick does wild Ricochet do anything here that's what I was trying to hold up great so if not for not for Dragons well if we think about it yeah because of how much Overkill yeah just keeps approaching but yeah that's the thing is like while those are going on too I can rip the I can I can start grabbing dragons is there like a weird way in which it's completely meaningless but you can somehow manipulate your graveyard so that you you like Shuffle the ones that have resolved back in or something like that probably not no I mean I could I wonder I could run like quality Aladdin processors that put like things from Exile back in I think oh yeah the the eldrazi but yeah I think that had to be if it was exiled with ingest or maybe no maybe it was just anything that your opponent was exiled yeah it was weird because the I don't think you can't you don't really track stuff like that so it was like anything exiled could be ingested yeah wow wow that was fun holy moly sure thing well hey that was the Friday night paper if I'm on a red Commander Knight we uh during the break we uh confirmed that we have not done monoblock or mono white so that may happen someday but
