(mellow chiming) - Today, I want to tell
you about a valuable skill we all need, you, me, everybody. It's called positioning. Positioning is not about what
you know or what you can do. Positioning is about
becoming a person of trust and presenting yourself
to the right person at the right time, at the right place, in the right way, with the right message. When you think of Apple,
what word comes to mind? I would bet it might be innovation. Apple wants that image attached
to everything they make, and people pay for that, and
people will pay for you too. No matter what you do,
the more years you do it, you have gained the knowledge, skills, and wisdom to position yourself
as an expert in your field. You'll end up selling something, and that something is always you. You are the constant
in every relationship. You won't sell your skills. You'll sell your benefits, or how you can help someone achieve what they want to achieve. In many cases, you'll
appeal to their emotions. And when you do so, you ask
yourself these three questions. What might keep them up at night? What worries my potential clients? What do they dread to do? What do they worry about? Put yourself in their shoes. Speak to their needs, and position yourself with your words, with your actions, with your
focus, with your appearance, but mostly with your attitude. The way you treat others will determine the way they will respond to you. Being positioned correctly
can lead to success, and success, my friend,
can lead to happiness. Have a wonderful day.
