the stories of the the murders of oage during this what what's been called the reign of terror um that's depicted in the book in the movie does involve a member of my family um his name was Henry Ron he would be my great grandfather the larger story is that the goal was to wipe out an entire family so that all of the shares of that each one of them had in the mineral state would fall to this one indiv idual Molly who was married to the nephew of the man who orchestrated this whole scheme and at the appointed time he would kill her and their two children that they had together and all those head RS would flow to the the white husband um yeah it was sad I think they systematically chose which ones to die because Ernest and William hell concocted this plan you know William hell didn't have to do that I mean he was one of the richest people in Ed County a lot of cattle a lot of money and why he did this it was just for greed he just wanted more money and so you know he saw opportunity when Ernest and Molly got together and so they devised the plan um to terminate her whole family and I believe you know I think they started with Lizzy Lizzy the grandmother Molly's mother even though we don't know everything sometimes you don't have to know everything to be able to understand the gravity of the kind of indifference to the humanity of an fellow human being simply because they were Indian their life had lesser value even with all the wealth we had our lives were still cheap in the eyes of the dominant [Music] Society I think they should keep talking about it I don't think they should ever forget what happened and um it's part of history and it shouldn't ever be swept under the rug um you know hope even when the movie uh 2 three years from now when the movie Fades away I still hope people are still talking about it
