MODERN GOALKEEPING? SHOULD U STILL NOT BE WATCHING HIM?

surprise surprise the king is back what's good guys tyler back gk gold remy so today's video is going to be a yearly review to see what the self-proclaimed future of goalkeeping michael bolvin aka modern goalkeeping has been up to this past year for anybody who's not familiar with modern goalkeeping you can check out a video that i put up about a little over a year ago which was mostly just criticizing how he trains how he portrays professional goalkeeping training in general and just that the type of drills he's doing isn't going to make you better on the field in matches i just want to make sure that no one is confusing modern goalkeeping with the modern day gk that was definitely an issue the last time i put out a video where people kept confusing the two together and they are no way comparable so you guys please do not go to the modern day gk's page and post whatever nonsense you're going to post there since lee there has played in the scottish premier league played at a very high level extremely talented experience goalkeeper so please do not bother them or confuse the two because these two are not comparable at all now a lot has changed since i did put out that first video and it would be unfair not to mention that mike's actual trainings on the field of what he's posting on instagram or tick tock or whatever it has drastically improved from when i was first reacting to his trainings a year and a half to two years ago a large portion of that has been because he started working with more professional coaches he's started to actually take a bit more advantage of the resources he has around him to get in some quality training and to train with some quality keepers that have a lot of experience themselves especially in the professional ranks and i will say if you're looking at his content right now with the drills he's doing and just ignoring whatever about his personality and everything else about him that would rub you the wrong way and you're just looking at is this a good drill is this something that's beneficial he 100 is getting a lot more hate than he deserves in that regard like for example just maybe a month or so ago he had a post on instagram going over doing some step frequency training with some handling and comments just riddled with no one trains like this pros don't do this how does this help and pretty much the same thing is what i was saying from all of his videos before where no one does this this is just stupid training and for that case it just wasn't true pros use step training all the time i'm a big fan of it just to get activated start getting some quick feed in basic handling it's you see it all around the world south america europe the u.s it's a pretty common training technique so it's really not a big surprise that with mike's improved trainings that some pros have reached out to him saying that they like his drills they like what he's doing and of course mike was super excited to use those messages and trying to take a shot against me oh mike what do you think of all those negative comments you've been getting bro i know i know like it's crazy bro like i don't know why so many people actually hate on me like i hear a lot of like yo your training make no sense like everything is just for a show but guys i can literally pull up some of my private dms from like top professional goalkeepers and guys and they actually love my trainings like actually yeah bro let's start with manuel neuer like he literally says bro i like your blog and watch it together with my goalkeeper coach tony like that's their pokemon hey bro let me see let me see yeah right there and he also says like some exercises i like hours in training guys one of the best goalkeeper in the world says like he uses some of my training drills like guys like i don't know okay another one david from uh he's at red pools right now new york he's like i've seen so many of your videos love your style we actually tried some of your stuff i show it to my goalkeeper coach guys everyone is like training so i don't get like so people just who commenting hate and stuff yo they have no idea but the real pros like they know i'm sorry gk glare me you're not a real pro to me bro so first off mike you get zero say on who's a real pro and who isn't you haven't signed a professional contract i have so your opinion on this matter really doesn't mean anything you also seem to be ignoring the fact that i uploaded that video over a year ago and before that video was uploaded you're doing trainings like this [Music] and now you're trying to use these pros reactions to your newer content to try to say that that video that i made was always bs but if that was the case then why did you change your training so much after that video came out i would also like to get it out of the way that 100 mike's reactions video is gonna be that i'm just jealous of him which is exactly what i said in the first video that i made and it's as simple as ah well they're all just haters so mike i would love for you to explain exactly what i would be jealous about because straight up i'm just a better goalkeeper i've had a much better playing career which i'm still pursuing i'm not hated by a large portion of the goalkeeping community and i'm sure that one of your big points is that you have a bigger social media following so cool but really i value my playing career so much more than anything to do with social media no no maybe i am jealous of the fact that mike can rent a nice car and then try to play it off that it's something that he owns i'm sorry what do you do for a living oh um i do e-commerce and i do social media content creating okay thank you i mean seriously it's really not that hard to be like himself on social media in general since i don't think he's quite figured it out yet that the reason so many people dislike him is because of his personality and just how he carries himself and i do think that a big root to this disconnect between mike and reality is that he's under this weird impression that you can't judge somebody based off of what they post on social media to actually judge somebody you need to meet them in person you need to sit and have dinner with them and just talk to them i don't know for a couple hours but he thinks that if he says something on social media and you physically do not know him that there's no reason you don't have the right to judge what he says which really any normal person knows just isn't true i mean people get arrested and lose their jobs over what they post on social media all the time and it doesn't really matter what they're like in person if you send out one tweet that's say racist or extremely offensive 100 you're going to get fired the next day and there's not really going to be a way for you to talk your way out of that and unfortunately for mike he's made a ton of questionable decisions to say the least on what he's posted on social media over this past year and it really didn't take him long to do so after the first video i posted where him and his team thought that this would be a decent response to post on ig to that [Music] video [Music] so [Music] so [Music] and i will say with this video that the comment that he showed that i posted was a terrible decision on my part definitely should not have made that comment and even what i wrote isn't exactly what i wanted to say in the first place where i really did me to talk about the football world not the whole world in general since i know mike 100 has to bring value to his friends to his family so i'm not saying he's just disappear off the face of the world but that was a very poor decision on my part i 100 should have posted that i don't know why i did i did end up deleting it pretty quickly and then also posting something saying that hey yeah i probably should not have said that but even with that said this whole response by mike is just a mess where at first it does just look like this little you know it's cringy little tick tocks it is instagram where just bad acting not really a funny premise just just poorly put together in general but then you start thinking about what he's actually doing with this where pretty much the situation is that mike did some unethical things he got called out for it and now he wants to claim that he is being cyber bullied i really wouldn't be so critical of this response from mike and his team if i truly thought that mike believed that he was being cyber bullied but the fact that he deleted the post after eight hours of putting it up because of the backlash from it of people just saying how ridiculous it is it's really just a messed up way for him to handle this situation since he's using the suffering of these kids to try to back himself out of a quarter that he put himself in overall just a really narcissistic move here and honestly it's not that out of character for mike to be doing things like this it's no surprise that the maturity from mike just isn't there i mean he likes to have himself be portrayed as a kid consistently it's on his descriptions he mentions in his video that he's just the kid making content when he's not he's 25 years old he's a grown man and like you're way past the point of actually being a kid but that wouldn't explain why he thought it was acceptable to post a comment like this on a 17 year old's tick tock page over last summer so this comment would honestly be pretty cringy no matter whose page you posted it on but the fact that this is someone who's 24 posting this on a 17 year olds is just gross i mean for reference that's someone who's two years out of college pretty much hitting on someone who's still in high school so i'm not really going to get into this too much but you you can't be doing that you just you can't be posting comments like this especially as someone in mike's position where you're going to have underage people all the time dming you and reaching out to you and it's just a terrible president to set to that you feel comfortable publicly putting something like this on a girl's page and i have zero doubt that mike will see this and instantly just say this never happened it's fake you guys can't believe everything that you see online which takes us into what one of my biggest issues with mike was on the last video i put out which is what he injured bobby brancher who was a 12 year old at the time doing really reckless training something he shouldn't have been doing and he ended up tearing a ligament in bobby's wrist now while there is video evidence of this this is all on bobby's channel it shows him training it shows the kick it has a little text come up bobby saying that he got injured during that it has him taping up his wrist after it it has bobby after the video almost looking like he's in tears because definitely i've torn ligaments in my hand it's painful he was struggling to get his glove back on towards the end of the video this 100 happened and mike is still adamant that none of it did and a lot of it goes back to what mike was saying before where oh you weren't there you don't know what happened if you weren't physically at the training session like how could you know just completely ignoring the fact that there is video evidence of this happening it's pretty messed up that he just keeps trying to deny that this happened and there's been no explanation it'll just be someone will make a comment like hey whatever happened to bobby and then all mike's comments are just pretty much saying oh it never happened you believe everything on the internet but there's never been an explanation for then what happened because if someone accused me of that of doing what he did and i didn't do it within weeks days i would have a video saying hey this is what happened there's no way i would just be online just tell people it didn't happen without providing an actual explanation and this is just another great example of mike's lack of maturity really all he had to do when this came out was say yes i shouldn't have done that i wasn't thinking i'm really sorry like i've been trying to make it up with bobby like i don't know what you would have to do but just ignoring it or pretending it didn't happen is not the way that you want to go with this now after a year mike actually did kind of figure this out on his own where two days before this video was supposed to be uploaded he uploaded this to instagram guys let's go and i really don't understand why mike thinks this clears him of any wrong doing since he seems really focused on the fact that bobby didn't break his wrist but then bobby goes ahead and says that he was injured during that session so he was still injured because of the reckless drill that mike put him through that was 100 avoidable and then he just spent the last year on instagram like i said lying that it never happened and i guess his whole point is oh i never broke his wrist i just tore his ligaments as if like i said that makes it any better but to make matters worse he's also been making jokes about in the past but this is that was one of my biggest issues was that training session was that video and i did not think he was just going to straight up deny that this happened and his reasoning being that oh you weren't there because really in general it's crazy just how comfortable mike is with lying to just try to help himself get himself out of trouble help make himself look better than he is it's just he has no issue with it no matter the situation he appears to have no issue with lying about almost anything where just like the last video that i put out where one of my biggest shoes was how he signed with the new york red bulls and he had a picture on instagram with his name on the back of her red bull's jersey saying just signed my first professional contract and then after the video came out his response to that was oh it's just product placement you have to be an idiot to think that this is real and of course he's typing that comment just in the middle of hundreds of them that all say congrats i'm so happy for you can't wait to see you in the mls so it's obvious that people do believe that and the product placement excuse just doesn't make any sense product placement does not mean you can just lie about something and say oh this is product placement and then in the same breath where he says oh i never said that i signed professionally he lies about going on a professional trial over the winter after arriving in turkey i got invited for my second tryout with a pro russian team fc ural ft url is based in yktirinburg and they play in the russian premier league where also zanitsa and peterborough or spartak moscow is playing there were just so many red flags that this of course there's no chance that this was actually a proper trial where you can just start off with the basics where one he's filming himself talking into the camera and filming the coach in the middle of their session which would just never ever ever happen in a professional trial honestly that really doesn't even happen in training sessions i don't think i've ever brought someone in to actually film one of my training sessions with a club that i'm signed under but i could not imagine bringing the camera on an actual trial and trying to have someone just walk in the middle of all these drills just getting content from my youtube videos you also had the issue that fc earl at the time were mid-season with five keepers under contract so there's no reason they'd be looking for another keeper and if they were they'd be looking for a number one and they're not gonna look for some kid who hasn't been signed in three or four years he hasn't proven that he can play at even like a top semi-pro level there's there's just no way that they're going to be seriously looking at him to sign him i think he also had the issue where he was never involved in the team training both of these two videos that he put out on his little trial were just goalkeeper training you never trained with the actual team and if someone's on trial they want to see how you look at the team that is much more important of how you look in live play than going through set drills the coach also commented on mike's page thanking him for the joint session which is something that you would send a content creator just coming into film not someone who's actually on a proper trial so like when you find yourself asking yourself this i don't know why so many people actually hate on me just know very little of it actually has to do with your trainings and maybe this video will get you to be a more honest person just like my last
