Modern Family: Outstanding Comedy Series

modern family thank you again so so much we are so very honored to be in this room to tell you the truth there were a lot of years when a lot of people on this stage had failed pilots and shows that didn't go and so we appreciate every single second of this we're especially honored in light of the other nominees in the category we're all fans of yours I want to just take a moment to thank Dana Walden Gary Newman at 20th Century Fox and everybody there Pauli and Sweeney everybody at ABC I want to thank this amazing amazing cast and I especially I especially want to point out these guys all of our all the kids on this cast Modern Family was this close to being animated that's how much we didn't want to work with kids but these guys bring it every single week and they are at the caliber of anybody else on that stage and we are very very grateful to have you all thank you to our incredible crew you know a couple years ago we were on or last season excuse me we were on location and a gay couple came up to us and said you know you're not just making people laugh you're making them more tolerant and and I thought to myself well they're there right we are we are showing the world that there's absolutely nothing wrong with a loving committed relationship between an old man and a hot young woman and looking around this room tonight I see many of you agree thank you all very very much
