eze and gentlemen it is my honor to introduce Jay Leno thank you it is hard to believe we're almost a tenth of the way through the evening the nominees for Outstanding Comedy Series are the Big Bang Theory Modern Family orange is the new black Silicon Valley and the winner is Modern Family modern family received 10 nominations this year and as a is the fifth consecutive Emmy win in the Comedy Series category accepting the Emmy on behalf of the team is Steven Levitan thank you so much when my daughter was 10 she came to work with me on a day that we were trying to come up with a story she sat with a roomful the riders watching them think talk share anecdotes watch YouTube videos anything to spark an idea and eight long hours later we had absolutely nothing we went home and I was a little bit embarrassed and then she looked up at me and these big eyes and she said thanks for taking me to work with you daddy I really loved it so much I learned what you did and it makes me so proud and then she turned into the kitchen and said to my wife it's a wonder we have a roof over our heads it's it's all a wonder that we get to do this for a living that we get to be the ones up here when there are so many deserving shows that we get to touch so many people's lives and that we get to work with such extraordinary people like this every single day I don't know how to say it but Modern Family has been a big beautiful dream over the last five years and we thank you for not waking us up thank you coming up Halle Berry presents the Award for Outstanding Drama Series when the Emmy Awards continue on
