Modding Skyrim VR with the HIGGS mod makes it a real VR game

little bit because on the one hand the more i play real vr games the more i realize how bad of a vr port skyrim vr actually is fbi open up but at the same time just being inside of skyrim is enough to make me want to cry how is this game so pretty but today i witnessed a miracle that solved a lot of this existential crisis for me because a mod came out a few weeks ago maybe a month ago now called higgs which stands for hand interaction i forgot the rest gone girl squidward i don't know but it puts your hands into skyrim vr they now exist and can collide with stuff also known as an actual vr game listen man i'm just trying to butter my potato the miracle that i referenced earlier was the fact that i hit install on the nexus and when i opened up skyrim vr it just worked there there buddy it's okay i have never in my life downloaded a mod that required so many other mods first that didn't break the entire universe i was certain that i would be spending hours uninstalling sky ui uninstalling vrik and then the script extender and updating them and reinstalling the updated versions but no no it just worked oh the noise oh it was so loud in my ear and the effect that this one single mod has had on my overall enjoyment of the game is ridiculous i can't begin to tell you how satisfying it feels to be able to finally just look at something and just pick it up like any normal human person would do in any other scenario i'm finally gonna get to do this after all these years skyrim vr has always had this invisible block this gap between you and the world you felt like you were in but you couldn't really touch you felt like a ghost haunting the place spooky you could have influence on the world but you weren't physically there breaking that wall is so eye-opening it was not only frustrating to only be able to levitate objects around but also an immersion incinerator ooh toasty especially with anyone that you kill what a shot you couldn't move bodies at all before without using a shield or something to push them around which is ridiculous because vr gives you the platform to let the player really feel like they're looting someone or hiding a body and now i can actually feel like i'm doing both of those things let's put you let's put you in that bush over there does that sound good does that sound like a nice final resting place yeah i think so and the mod will highlight specific pieces of armor on them too that you can take and if you find something you like you can just throw it over your shoulder to put it in your inventory it's fantastic again i can't believe how much one singular feature can make a game ten times better yeah this book sucks i've always wanted skyrim to feel like a real fleshed out vr game because of all the games i have played hands down the best one to teleport into and look around and just really feel like you're actually there is skyrim oh no oh i'm so tempted i shouldn't i really shouldn't but i'm so tempted can i pull the cart wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute wait a heavy dragon bones i'll just pick those up place them in the whoa whoa place them in the cart and then i can just pick up the oh okay all right it's a little different than i uh expected but it's kind of kind of working i take it back you get the idea though if i wasn't like hercules this would be pretty cool but but now that i'm knuckle deep into this video i'm realizing that that's pretty much all there is to it unless something really crazy happens the next time i get on this is going to be a short video it's a good boy who's a good boy yeah he's a good boy a good boy what yeah so nothing crazy happened um i've kind of just been achieving levels of immersion that shouldn't even be possible [Music] so yeah god this is my skyrim now i love this i love it i also think i'm enjoying skyrim so much just because it's been so long since i've played it at all so much time had passed that i forgot i had a son god i haven't video for the hundredth time will probably also help slowing things down you're the best can you be my father nope which is probably for the best i got on pavlov the other day and two people if you're watching this right now that was that was really cool but yeah things are finally starting to slow down so i'm gonna say this again and maybe for the first time in over a month it won't change instantly but thank you to the 35 000 people that are here now i am still trying to comprehend that number but in the meantime while my smooth brain attempts to understand the world around it i
