I frisson'd. But I love Irish folkmusic so that was no surprise.
I am Scandinavian and everytime I'm at a pub and meets some Irishmen, they almost always say that the vikings took all the good looking women and left them with the scraps. Looking at this video it's obviously not true.
In typical Irish fashion, there are least 2 people I know in that choir. What a small country.
Time to move to Ireland, I suppose.
If you like this, you might be a fan of the Chieftain's cover of Long Black Veil. They also perform a version of Mo Ghille Mear - different, but no less beautiful.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing :)
I have a YT playlist of various classical pieces for background music to my D&D sessions. This is going in the battle music playlist. Jesus Christ I'm pumped now.
EDIT: I've been asked to link the playlist. Here goes.
Beautiful.
Love these kids' version of The Parting Glass: https://youtu.be/eisW0skJ9fU
I have a tattoo of the name of this song in honor of my grandfather who is currently dying of alzheimers. He gives me my irish blood so i thought it was appropriate since the poem is about a prince leaving ireland and the country declining in his absence
Some people may say that this is a little "too clean", but i'm a big fan.
