the Eagles could not clinch the division but for all practical purposes they would have or would they win this game there's Bradshaw 61 between Bradshaw and Jacobs today there's Bradshaw and he won't get a good play up front by this Eagles defense as you look at the playoff situation in the NFC there the division leaders at the top going into today then the two teams that are on top of the heap in the wild-card chase both coming in with nine wins we'll talk more about that after the play the handoff is to McCoy third down and six Vick over the middle pass caught by avant well it's getting late stead back then wide open and now it's second and ten here's necks [Applause] it's third and ten bliss pass caught by Hagan Samuel with a tackle to hold Hagan short of a first down was his fourth catch of the season Vick slings it sideline first down in the past caught blitz coming Vic steps up airs it out downfield meklin had to wait broken up Terrell Thomas shut down the last time had played the Eagles is wide open Kevin boss with another big [Applause] out of the pocket to his right and he just floats it away incomplete so the Giants get it was still just under 13 minutes left in back and that ball will head into the end zone the Eagles will start at their 20 they're behind Chicago in the north there's play on Monday outdoors in Minneapolis Vic wide open DeSean Jackson Paul came out when Jackson hit the turf was he touched right now it's a fumble and it belongs to the Giants Kenny Phillips on the recovery Jackson is touched there on his way to the ground and the ball comes out down by contact you can see golf get the back of Jackson on his way to the ground there's no question he's to throw out he's waiting right now to try to determine if he's going to he's only challenged six calls all year I'm shocked he's not challenging this he's got it in his hand unbelievable Jay goes over the left so take a chance hoping for a reversal and then that is a miss here's boss forced out about its third and 2 here for the Giants coming across early was the rookie Chaney [Applause] [Music] startin fire boss touchdown seemingly easier road at home against Minnesota at home against Dallas here's Macklin [Applause] on first down passed a Selleck a LIF on the tackle by Phillips and Selleck gets a block and will cruise in for the touchdown Macklin with a good block after Kenny Phillips missed on the tackle and when you throw the ball down the middle as they do here - Brent Celek that's the play you know Kenny Phillips goes for thinking it's going to be an interception to not have more production and handle it the way that he has has been Africa here's an onside kick try and it's hauled in it is a good play it belongs to the Eagles Riley Cooper out of the shotgun Vic backpedaling hits Deshawn Jackson just the right distance Vick sidesteps a sack and now we'll take it right up the middle of the field slides down a head first inside the ten they were making these plays in the first half but Vick just makes a great athletic move there and gets underneath him back on a quarterback draw touchdown filling [Applause] and we are an extra point away from the seven-point game [Applause] from the 35 passes caught what a floor [Applause] at hasta bradshaw running right first down in a big one for allah Bradshaw [Applause] let's Manning off his back foot incomplete and not only that unloads incomplete blitz Vic room door one big first down Michael Vick across the 40 in knocked out shy of 45 Vick over 100 yards in this game six time in his career he's been to that mark over the middle of the field passes complete extra men on the rush again get right up the gut michael vick inside the 25 down headfirst and have the wall first down at the giants 20 we just had the two-minute warning eagles have no timeouts left and here is Selleck twisted down here they come again on a blitz pass wide open caught Matt Glenn touchdown [Applause] [Music] [Applause] line drive kick and DJ where we'll get it on two bounces move the rod good returned by where blitz Giants pick it up in the pass into the turf looking for Hagan this is a defense at one time that would thrive in these situations banding over the middle for boss nearly picked off by Michael third and ten [Applause] and now Eli Manning will take a sack the clock will continue to wind which is good news for the Giants and that group will have to pull this one on and I don't think Tom Coughlin's real comfortable asking Matt dodge two directional kick I mean he can bomb it but even Tom Coughlin's said you know trying to angle it and asked him to do certain things at this stage of his career is his difficult form so in all likelihood to Shawn Jackson is going to at least get a return put two seconds back on and DeSean Jackson who has averaged 14th best in the NFL eight point seven yards per return has not returned one for a touchdown this year wait and it's a line drive kick Jackson bobbles it and now has to try and recover DeSean Jackson gets a blog are you kidding DeSean Jackson still not in now in for the touchdown no flags unbelievable no time left Eagles win [Applause] see Tom Coughlin's looks like he went right to Matt dodge and was asking him what he was doing he had been asked to kick it out of bounds that is incredible [Applause] it's a 65-yard return it was an awful punt a line drive Jackson bobbled it and then let blocks get set up picked his way through the Giants got a block late and then took it up the goal line the Philadelphia Eagles win it by seven they're ten and four and it is a giant collapse by New York here in New Meadowlands Stadium back after this

I’m an electrician and was working a side job that day for a customer who happened to be a giants fan. He was watching the game inside while I was outside listening to it on the radio. He made me come inside and have a beer for the final few minutes. “I think the giants are gonna blow this thing and you’re going to want to see it,” he told me.

I’ll never forget this game and I’m sad for people who couldn’t experience it in real time.

I was actually so disgusted after Andy didn’t challenge the Desean fumble when it was 24-10 that I changed the channel. I waited oh idk 10 min and came back just in time to see the Kevin Boss TD 31-10.

No clue why but I kept watching...once the long Celek TD happened I still didn’t think it would happen but I was...intrigued. Then after the onside kick (which the Giants played laughably poor) I had that magic feeling.

Vick was a man possessed he was avoiding crazy sacks and running for chunk yards. It got to the point where I feared they tied the game too quick!

Once the defense got a huge 3rd down sack I was ready for OT. Loved our chances. I thought eh they gonna just kick it out of bounds. Once I saw that line drive I literally got my ass out my seat. He fumbled, then once I saw him accelerate two strides I knew he was GONE.

I jumped up and down to the point that I later realized I pulled a hammy lmao.

Beautiful game, and to see the look on Coughlins face lmaooooo What a perfect moment. Such a shame the team couldn’t recover that season. Miracles take a lot out teams.

Stayed at the bar the whole time and was rewarded with an unforgettable moment! That final punt return is almost too perfect, because as soon as he recovers the ball, he’s clearly going all the way.

Was at this game, when the Giants scored to go up 31-10 everyone in my group was ready to leave, I convinced them to wait until the next drive, we would stay only if the Eagles scored a TD. Then Vick hit Celek, and the rest is history.

Hearing the air go completely out of the stadium when DJax crossed the goal line was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

My uncle was in the hospital the day of this game. Had a really bad stroke and we weren't sure he was going to make it through the night. Being so young, I didn't go to the hospital with my parents and stayed home. My uncle was a huge Birds fan who I remember all those games in the early-mid 2000's watching with him. 4th and 26, Super Bowl XXXIX, etc. He wasn't really "there" that day as he wasn't doing well in the ICU. I still watched the game to hopefully clear my head a little bit, as I knew Uncle Bobby would want me to watch. He passed away not long after the game and my family and I call this one the "Uncle Bobby Game" and I'm fully convinced he hung around long enough to see the end of that game.
