[Music] [Music] hey guys this is e with scrapbooking with me and today we're going to play around with our may kit and i've just got the papers out here this is actually a piece of chipboard but you did get this in your kit you could possibly use this if you wanted to you could double up on it or just use a little piece of cereal box or something like that this is just a lightweight chipboard that i had in my stash it was a little scrap so i grabbed it out and we're gonna use some of the product that came in our make it so because i love this paper and i want to get it used i want to use it i don't want to cut it but i want to use it now i'm going to round the corners on this and i'll tell you let me go ahead and tell you what size i cut this out this is cut at eight inches long and it is four inches wide and what we're going to do is we're going to make a mini mini album we i have scored at three and three quarters and then at four and one quarter so three and three quarter right here and then four and one quarter that's where i scored so eight by four score at three and three quarter and four and one quarter and then i'm just gonna round my corners you don't have to do this i just think it looks pretty especially in a little bitty mini i think it looks real pretty okay so we got that now i am gonna go around mine and i'm gonna ink and the reason i'm gonna do that is because i'm not going to wrap my paper around so i want to ink so that the part of the chipboard that's going to be showing is going to have a little bit of color to it i don't mind the brown showing but i like a little bit of color on there so i'm just i'm not going to put a lot i'm just going to put a little bit around on the inside and out because this paper is so thick i don't want to try to wrap it and i think it'll look good just laying on top and that's why i said you could use your craft cardstock that you got because this paper so thick by the time you glue it down to this you're going to have a nice thick mini album right i'm going to go ahead and ink just where i scored and i'm not going to worry about inking in there okay so this is what we have and now i'm going to decide what i want for my front cover i'm going to go ahead and do that first you could go ahead and start making pages or whatever you would want but i'm going to decorate my outside first i think and i'm just going to look through here in this paper gorgeous and i'm going to show you how you can cover your front cover cover your front cover i'm going to show you how you can protect your front cover so that you can toss this in your um backpack in your purse or briefcase or whatever you might have i'm going to show you how to protect this so that it won't get torn okay first i gotta find a pencil does anybody see my pencil no there it is all right i want to now i'm just marking you can measure it doesn't matter you know me i like to mark and then usually i like to cut when i cut crooked and mark it right now i'm gonna i'm using this for my front cover by the way i like those flowers on there i like both sides but you know you got to sacrifice somewhere and then i am going to cut it right there so what i did with this piece is i cut it just a little bit shy of the chipboard so just a tiny bit of that chipboard it's going to show and then i'm going to round to this corner and this corner i'm going to use the same size punch it's one half inch around it like that and then i'm going to put a little bit of ink on this i'm not going to put a lot i'm just going to rub it a little bit on there just so that it'll blend in some like that and then we'll glue that down right there that is that paper is so thick it just it just lays there i like that righty we're gonna go ahead and put this down i've been wanting to make this for all last week and i had so many other videos that i needed to do and catch up on and work and that kind of thing that i didn't get it done but i was anxious to get started on it today it may take me a couple of days to finish it okay there we go we've got just a little bit of that brown showing isn't that cute already now we're going to decide what we want to put on the back and that can be anything you know what i think i might put on the back um let me find it the front cover of this paper collection if i can find it somewhere it actually has paper on one side of it and we could use that for our front cover well where are there you did see on this side that's the front cover and on this side that's our paper so we can use that that way we don't waste anything which i would've used it anyway but it's just a way for you to use and not waste any of your paper see i would use those little squares on there that's those are cute right let's see where do we want to cut this cut right there so how are you guys doing i hope you're doing okay hope everybody's well mr whit is feeling better today he got another prescription from his doctor yesterday he called him and got another prescription well the doctor called him after they got the culture and everything back so he got another prescription and it seems to be doing him a little bit better okay i'm gonna trim off just a tiny bit more of this because i don't think i cut it quite short enough just a sliver just a slipper sliver for that little sliver okay and we're going to i'll keep putting it wrong that way that's the way it goes like that okay so well actually my writing's that way so it goes like that so we're gonna round these two corners so today he's had a better day i thank you all for asking about him and sending that prayers for him i appreciate that it helps really does and we can feel those prayers okay so let's put that like that well i might have cut that one a little short see i should have left it alone you know me anyway it's gonna be fine we're gonna i'm gonna put a little tiny piece of lace on the spine anyway so it's not gonna not get a matter okay just a tiny bit there we go that so there's our front and back cover already in that cute i love these little journals now we're going to go ahead and cover the inside and then i'll probably we'll probably work on the pages because i'm going to show you how to protect the front cover and we'll probably go ahead then and work on our pages while it's drying because you do have to let it dry and what are we going to put on the front page let's use this i like that let's use this for the front right there i'm just going to back it up so that i can see about where i need to cut that there so if you didn't get a may kit if you're not subscribed to our e-club kit the link is below make sure that you go over and subscribe if you want to make sure that you get one because you got lots of pretty things picked out for june and july already so i can't wait to get those out to you and i usually can't wait to use my kit but like i said this month i've been running you know april and may i've been running behind because of my hand being injured it's just taken me a little bit longer to get things done and get caught up on things than it it was before but i've about got back to somewhat near normal i don't know that my husband says i'll never be normal but i've got back pretty close and no i'll never be normal who wants to be normal that sounds boring doesn't it nobody wants to be normal i like being abnormal and just going with the flow and doing my own thing i'm kidding oh me you guys think i'm crazy i am crazy i'm a little bit crazy i'm just not certified crazy okay if i was i could draw a disability i need to hush i need to uh y'all are gonna quit watching me you're gonna say that lady is pulling out of her mind out of her mind okay there we go i just had to get a little bit of that nip off of there there's one right there too i need to clean out my puncture guess okay that's what we have on there so far and i told you i was going to show you how to protect this so that you won't have to worry about this getting torn the paper getting torn things getting um marks getting on it you know anything so let me grab my paper here this is the paper that i use to do my stuff on this is just where we print off our labels this is that backing to the label paper so if you ever have any label sticky labels save your backing because you can use it for all kinds of things all right we're gonna dig our brush out here let me grab a towel this is the brush that i used the other day and guess what i accidentally left it laying on my desk but i have been soaking it in some water and it's good to go and i my water any water that any water bottles i have where i drink my water i just put a little tap water in there and that's what i use to soak my brushes and things in alright i'm gonna close my glue be a good girl close your glue all right now this is clear gesso some of you in the may club kits got clear gesso some of you may have got white gesso we bought all that they had of one and had to finish it off with the other that's the way it's been going ever since the covet monster hit we can't get enough of one thing seems like but clear gesso works great for this now if you put white gesso on this it's going to cover your paper it's going to color it because white gesso is just like white paint it's going to cover it but if you don't have clear gesso we have it in the store it's very inexpensive this bottle lasts you forever in a day or you can use just a mod podge if you've got that you can use collage podge if you've bought that from us in the past anything like that will work i'm just showing you how you can use your clear because you did get you didn't get this bottle in your kit but you got a little bottle because we couldn't ship those big bottles they're a little bit too expensive all right you just take that clear gesso and you're gonna just just like you're painting it on but you're not covering anything if you can see it's not changing my color at all but it is gonna seal this where if you get anything on it all you have to do is take a damp cloth and wipe it off it's going to seal your paper it's going to seal your chipboard it's going to seal it all and i put it all the way around through here now i will tell you wherever i'm hitting that ink with this it's gonna the ink it's gonna fade a little bit because that is not that's a water-based ink and it's gonna smear a little bit it's gonna fade out like that did that doesn't bother me but if it bothers you don't ink until after you do this i kind of like the look of it but you know that's me everybody's not like i am i know so if that bothers you then just don't put any ink on until after you do this and after this dries okay we've got it on there now i'm going to go ahead and put it on my spine even though my spine is going to be covered with lace i'm going to go ahead and put it on the spine because that will make that spine a lot stiffer to i'm not stiffer it'll make it a lot tougher keep it from tearing won't make it stiffer all right i now i'm going to go ahead and turn it over and do this side just because the sake of the video but if you were doing this at your own home not in front of a camera then you need to let it dry before you flip it over because it could stick to the paper underneath or you couldn't mess up where you painted it on there but i'm gonna live dangerously go ahead i don't put it directly onto my paper i try to put it off to the side and then paint it on like that okay oops now i go back and i just make sure that i don't have any streaks in there that i didn't brush out if you do then make sure that you brush all those streaks out and i turn it if you turn it sideways where the light hits it you can tell if you've covered every inch of it or not or if you have a little bit of something left and if you do see any little white marks don't worry about that when it dries it's going to dry clear so i'm just going to go back i'm just touching up any little places that i might have messed up when i flipped it over okay all right now we're going to lay this somewhere or actually i'm going to stand it somewhere like that and let it dry and then when this dries that's going to be protected you can even get water on it it's not going to hurt it because this is going to be completely sealed okay all right let me set this somewhere so that it will dry i'm going to put my brush back down in my water and then i'm just going to move this whole thing over here and let it dry all right i always wipe off around my gesso just so that it doesn't the my top doesn't stick on there so hard and then we'll sit it over there and now we're ready to go now i think what i'm gonna do for my pages we're trying to think i think i might use the paper that came in the kit and make some pages with this paper i'm going to cover it with some of that but i'm thinking about using the paper you you don't have to do this you can um use something else you can use foot pages you can use some uh hand-dyed paper t-dyed paper whatever but i'm thinking about using some of this and i don't even mind that being on there because i am going to cover parts of it with this i may not cover the whole page but i am going to cover parts so i'm going to go ahead and trim off this barcode right there and let's see i need my pages since it's four inches wide i need my pages about three and three quarters i don't need them four i need about three and three quarters and i think that should work now this page i had already cut some off of so let's see if it's going to be long enough oh yeah it's gonna be still gonna be long enough now i need to cut this down to about seven and three quarters so let's cut it down to seven and three quarters i'm going to try this and if it works then i'll tell you what size i've got all right i'm not going to be able to cut it down with that one i'll try it first if it works then i'll tell you guys what size i did why is it that ever since my hand and i had this thing turned around sideways the other way now i just want to turn it around that way all the time okay save that piece i can stamp on that all right let's see if this is gonna work okay if we get this and if we score this one let me think a minute i'm thinking i'm thinking okay the center of this let me find the center i don't want to think in my head so i'm going to find the center this way i could think in my head but it would hurt okay the center is three and seven eight so okay we're going to score this at three and five 8 and then at four and one quarter and let's hope that that's gonna be right i don't know let's see okay i think i think i think i think that's right the way i find out if that's right or not is i measure so if i measure from there to there it's three and five eighths and from here to there it's three and five eighths so all right so your piece needs to be cut this is for your pages three and three quarters by seven and three quarters and then you're going to score at three and five eighths and four and one quarter is that four and a quarter you're scoring at three no three and five eighths and four and one eighth so you're scoring at three and five eighths and four and one eighth that's what you're scoring right there three and five-eighths and four and one-eighth okay that's going to be your pages i pull my little thing back over here even though it's not dry and that is the way it's gonna be right there just like that so that's gonna fit perfect perfect perfect i like that okay now i will tell you when you put this gesso on there you're gonna it's gonna have a little bit of a almost gritty texture but it's not grit it's just that it's sealing that paper so if you don't like that when this gets completely dry you can take a little buff even a fingernail file and just rub over it real lightly and it'll go away but most of that will go away when it completely dries anyway i just wanted to tell you that because i didn't want you to do it and then go oh this is gross right so let's go ahead and around the corners on our pages because we need that there and there so that is one of our pages now if we're gonna make um the stack the pages if we're going to make those then each one of our pages the the fold here is going to need to be a little bit smaller because if you make them all just like this then they're they're just going to be one big bulky thing in there so and i know that didn't make any sense whatsoever so what we we're going to do is we're going to cut all these pages i think we're going to cut them all the same length up so i'm only going to put probably four sheets of paper in mine that's going to make uh 16 pages so that's going to be plenty for my little mini album so you can go ahead and cut your pages if you're going to put four or five whatever you're going to put go ahead and cut your pages and then we will come back and we'll do all of our scoring we're going to need to score each one a little bit different but i'll show you that when we come back i'm going to go ahead and cut mine and then we'll come back and we'll start um scoring the pages and putting them together and then our little album will be dry and we'll be ready to put them in there all right we got this one finished and i give you the measurements on it so then we're going to do our second page and i told you just to go ahead on your pages and cut them the same length and that is fine now i did end up cutting mine off a little bit so you can just trim it off it's just a fourth of an inch on each end but if you went ahead and cut them this size then all you need to do is on your second page and if you haven't cut them yet then that'll be great you can cut them this size on the second page you need to cut it at seven and three eighths and it's by three and three quarters so seven and three eighths by three and three quarter and then you're gonna score at and let me make sure i get this right on here you're gonna score at three and a half and then at three and three quarters and that's going to give you those little score lines that's just a little bit smaller than that one that's going to give you that little spine so that they're going to sit in there like that this is what is called stack the page on here and then i have my third page and three is all i'm going to be able to put in here but that's going to be pretty good for this little book i'm still going to be able to add some flips and different things like that this one is cut at seven and a quarter by three and three quarter they're all the same height so cut this one at seven and a quarter and then you're gonna score at and let me mark that score line because i cannot see it when i put my ruler on there you are gonna score at three and let me look it is basically between the three and a half and three and five eight so what i did was just kind of slid it over a little bit and scored at um three and right between three and a half and three and five eighths i just slid it and then the next score you're going to score at just 1 8 inch from that first one so if you score this one at say 3 and 5 8 then score that next one at 1 8 inch over because this little gus sitter this little uh spine is just going to be an eighth of an inch so you got an eighth of an inch here this one is a quarter if i'm not mistaken yes that one's a quarter and then this one should be a half and it is so as long as you have a half inch a quarter of an inch and an eighth of an inch then you can adjust your pages after you get that done so if you want to just take a sheet of paper let's just say this is it take a sheet of paper do your score first and then cut your pages down like you need to them that's fine too any way that you can do to get your scoring correct on this or if on this last one you scored a little bit off then just make sure that you cut this a little bit longer so that you have room to adjust that's what i did on mine i cut all of them this size which is uh seven and three quarter i cut all of them the same length and then when i did this one i went in there and i scored at that first score line there which is three and a quarter or three and a half i'm sorry and then i went over a quarter of an inch and scored it three and three quarters and then i laid it in here with my spines together like that and then i just kind of i held it like this and then just trimmed off the excess that makes it a lot easier than trying to determine how big or how little you need to make them so just cut them all the large size the first page size and then trim them off as need be now when you put these together let's just say we've got these centered up which i really don't but let's pretend that we do let me center that one up okay so that right there is basically centered up now you'll see that when they're laying out like this they're stacked they're a little bit different see that one's longer and then that one and then this one that's what you want if you had them all the same length when you folded this up you would have some of your inside pages sticking out so your inside pages do need to be a little bit shorter than your first page okay all right so that's why i said i just held them up like this and put my spines in there like that and then i just trimmed off the excess now i hope that made sense i believe it did and it'll make even more sense when we start gluing these down so what we're going to do is we're going to take this second one right here and we're going to put some glue on here um come on glue okay i'm just gonna run a little bit of glue on here i don't want it to seep out so what i'm gonna do is just gonna take my finger and rub that in like that and just kind of take off any excess and i don't think i even have a paper towel here that it's unheard of hold on a second all right let me i'm what i'm going to do is i've got my little score lines marked right there and right there with a pencil and i'm just going to take this and i'm going to center it up right between those marks and then i'm going to go to this end and make sure that i do the same if you don't you may get it a little bit off okay so you can see that basically is in the center there hope you can see that close enough all right there's the paper towel i forgot that i had a roll back there on the wall okay then we're gonna take this one and i just used a different color for this it doesn't matter you know you got two colors in your kit so i used this color paper because we're going to cover it anyway we're going to cover them now you're going to do the same thing on this you're going to lay this down to where that 1 8 inch is right in the middle of that 4th inch there and you know you may have to turn it around and around like i do sometimes to get it even and if you do just do that you may have to pin it glue it it doesn't matter whatever you have to do to get it centered up that's what you need now this i think was actually this type binding system was developed by laura dennison she uh developed the stack the page as well and it's done similar except you do the whole page instead of just doing the stack of the deck and then attaching the pages to it and i thought for this little album it would be better to do that now my album is nice and dry listen i love that texture that it gives now i'm just going to make sure that i got it the right way up and you can put water on this it's not going to hurt it which i don't know why you'd want to put water on it but if you do if you spill water on it like i do sometimes it's not going to hurt it because we've got it sealed crooked woman crooked woman running glue here okay tell me in the comments below how many is excited about the new shirts coming i cannot wait i can't wait for him to get them done i'm just i want to call him and say have you got them done yet can i see him can i see him but i don't want to bother him because i know he's busy so he has been working on them this week we should have them hopefully by friday i'm thinking because he said by the end of the week okay now you just need to press this down really well when you get it evened up there we go i can go ahead and erase my little marks there so there is our little booklet there are our pages now i'm not going to press on them too hard because they're still drying but there's that page and that page and then that one that one and i love that on there that and then that and you can see that you have a little bit of room between each one you have about an eighth of an inch between each one to do some embellishing or you know to add some pockets or whatever you'd want on here i just think these little books are really cute and i will be throwing this one in my purse and i'll probably be adding some pictures of my grandbabies in here my youngest granddaughter's birthday is today she is nine years old today and i can't believe it i just i cannot believe it seems like she just grew up so fast okay now we're going to cover these with some of this paper that we got in the kit i absolutely love this paper so we're going to cover this and i'm going to measure mine just like this this is the way i measure because i want them to come as close to the edge as possible without you know going over i do want a little bit of that brown to show but not much now if you want to put little flip outs or flip-ins or flip-ups or whatever on here you can do that now you could put a little flip up let's see i've got some more that paper somewhere right here let's just say you wanted to do a little flip up on this we could do that as a matter of fact we'll just go ahead and cut one i'm going to cut it the same width this and then i'm going to cut it the same height of that no i'm not i'm actually all right i'm measured at the same height but what we're going to do is we're going to put a half and now a quarter of an inch will be enough put a quarter of an inch onto that so this is my height to right there but i put another quarter of an inch on there because we're going to need a quarter of an inch to fold over all right we're going to cut this this has been a day and a half i'm telling you around here it has been crazy crazy everything that you know you have those days where it's everything that can go wrong does go wrong well i'm sure not everything that could go wrong went wrong but we had we have had a chore my computer was acting up my the printers were acting up i started printing some paper this morning some invoices and i was just going to print i think it was like 10 well i put them on to print it started running and all of a sudden i it just kept running and kept running and kept running and i thought what in the world so i told molina will you please check that printer because it's still printing and i only ask it to print like 10 pages she checked she said mother it's already printed about a hundred pages and there's nothing on them except just a little bit of garbledy goop she said it's it you don't can't even read it so i don't know what went crazy on that so then that was my laser printer it wasn't my hp it's my laser so i had to work on that and that got me ill and then i got that straightened out and then all of a sudden my computer started going haywire so i had to fiddle with that for a while and then molina's computer messed up to where she couldn't print anything to the printer it was just it was like there was just a cyber man inside all this stuff acting up well we checked to see if we had a virus and we didn't every all of our we have firewalls and all that you know because we have so many orders and things come through and just to protect you and to protect your information we have all kinds of um firewalls up and everything and so we checked all that and it was all fine but oh my goodness it was a day a day and a half okay what i'm going to do is round this corner in this corner because those are rounded but you know i guess it could have been a whole lot worse and i've tried to tell myself that could been worse i could not even have a computer and not even have any orders from you guys i'm just thankful that i've got a computer and i've that i've been getting orders from you okay so that's what that looks like with that trimmed off and i'm going to leave that little part on there because this is what we're going to glue right here at the top so what you want to do is just put a little bit of glue down through there and again i like to just press it in so that i don't have it squishing out everywhere and then we are going to lay that down as best we can and just glue it on that page just like that and you can just pick the page up and make sure that you get it get it even out here don't worry about it being exactly up here because you don't want it right in that crease so it's better if it's even out here at the end than to be even up close to the fold okay you're gonna stick mister all right did my glue stick i think so there we go so we've got that now you could go ahead and round this corner too which i think i will i think it'll just make it look better on this so let's go ahead and round that one and now you have a little flip up and this is where we did that um with the gesso and i put the color in it so that doesn't bother me we're going to cover most of this anyway but you could leave it so now we have that we have a little flip up on that one so let's go ahead and i think on maybe this one will put a little pocket on it i think i have another piece of that brown paper somewhere and if i don't we can always use something else i think that's not a piece that's the chipboard so i'm not sure what i did with it i had a couple of little pieces left but um i'm not going to worry about it because this is what we're going to do we are going to use this just a piece of scrap to make a pocket with and i think i wanted a little shorter than that let's see if we got a shorter scrap oh we do look at that yeah let's make that a little pocket and we're going to trim that off right there and then we need to round this corner so i just put me a little x there well let's go ahead and cut it off edith you got to cut it first so if i'm a little scatterbrained that's why it's just been a technical logical difficult day i don't know if i said that right or not technical logical technological i can't even say it you know what i mean okay there we go with that now whoops we are going to let's see which way's right oh this one's that's the right way up i think so we're gonna get it gonna gonna gonna go ahead and round that like that and then i'm gonna put a little pull in there i think i'll use my little punch we do still have a few sets of these punches and i think you get oh i don't know you get three different sizes anyway but one of them i think is this size the one inch and then one of them i think is this size and then it's the middle one that doesn't look real close to the center but that's gonna work because that's what we're gonna do now i could use my other ink on this that salvage patina that we got and that would look pretty but i'm just gonna use this since i've already started out using the brown i'm gonna use that now before i put this down i'm gonna put my paper up here so we're going to go ahead and use some of these and i think i might just use another scrap if i have one that's big enough and i do have one right there that's plenty big enough so what does that look like and you don't have to use these papers you can use any of your papers this is just showing you how to make a little mini journal or mini album see if that one would be right yeah and i think i like that one better so let's put a little mark right there i'm moving on down and put my mark let's see if i'm still filming i am um i'm paranoid now that all the other computers and things have gone crazy so now i'm watching this one to make sure it hasn't gone wild okay so yeah that'll work and then let's go ahead and round this corner up here we'll go ahead and put a little bit of ink on there if i sound a little bit nicely i'm sorry i have had i've had sneezing fits today the door's been opened and closed and we've been having some things done outside and we've got those privet bushes and oh my goodness those things kill me when they're blooming and they have those little white things pop up on them they're bad and our neighbor we don't have any on our property but our neighbor does and so and they won't cut them down so they just every year at this time of year molina and i both just we have sneezing fits there we go i don't really feel bad i just just if i'm a little nasally that's it it's not that i'm trying to be been better if i'd have got that in the middle but we're not going to worry about it so we're going to glue around the edge with the bottom and then around the other edge and we're just going to put that even with that one there like that so there is cute little pocket on there so you can make a little tag to go in there and that will be pretty let's see if we have anything that will make a little tag out of i cut out some things earlier this morning that out of the paper collection this was in one of the sheets oh i just stuck that all the way through to see that and let's see i think i'm gonna wait and we'll make a little tag for that in a little bit so we have a flip we have a tag so let's go ahead and start putting some paper on our pages let's see that's not going to be big enough doesn't matter which way i turn it it's not going to be big enough so i think i want this one on the first page and i have already marked it so we can go ahead and trim that one and i may even slip in some different paper to use for this as well i don't know it's just going to depend so i think i'm going to put that down that way so i'm going to round these corners round in the corners is a little bit more time consuming because you have to round all of them but in a small booklet like this i think it just looks better i'm going to make sure that i press that down really well right there at the spine portion so there's our first page and then we can do these and like i said i may not use all of this paper in here i may do a little bit of different decorating i don't know we'll see we'll see what i do i've got enough of it that i could use all of it all the way through but i may use something in addition to it okay let's cut that one right there i don't want to get it too close to the spine and then make sure i don't get it too long so then we're going to cut and these will make fantastic um tags because this is a nice thick paper so it's going to make great tags so make sure you save all of your off cuts okay i think we're going to put it that way i'm going to trim these two corners around these two corners now i probably won't do all of these the cutting and the rounding on screen because or on the video because once i do a couple you guys are y'all know how to cover your pages i mean y'all are smarter than i am but i just wanted to show you basically how i go about cutting them and i just keep it away from the spine because you don't want any bulk in there and then i will go ahead and cut mine and put them in and then we'll come back and do a little bit more embellishing on them i think and some embellishing on the front all right so i'm going to go ahead and finish covering these this one i'll cover front and back as well and then we will come back and i'll start showing you how i'm going to embellish my little booklet so we have all of our pages covered so i'll flip through real quick so you can see and i actually use some other papers too to put in here you'll see right here this is one from betty betty's custom creations on etsy and she is offering all of our subscribers or all of our viewers 15 off if you use this code scrapbooking with me over on her store and this is one of her newest digitals but see it goes so well with that i think and then i used the pieces here as well that's that flip up and then i used it there and then it goes well with that i think so you can switch back and forth since this was such a thick paper i decided to put some thinner paper in there with it and then that one and then there's our pocket i used it here and then there's that and then i used it here on this one and see how well it matches that great all right now what we're gonna do i'm gonna put some lace on the spine i want to reinforce it now this is some lace that i got from one of you guys and i want to use it but it's not quite wide enough but it has a real pretty iridescent in there and i don't know if you can see it or not maybe if i move it there we go you can see a little bit of it so i want to use that in there but it's not wide enough so i'm going to double it what i'm going to do first off we're going to put our glue on here and i'm going to run a bead down through here about halfway so if you have a lace that you want to use but you're thinking oh my goodness it's not wide enough so what am i going to do then this is a way to use it right here i'm going to put that right down through there leaving that on the front trim this off okay then we're just gonna fold that around press it down there where is my little tool here did i tell y'all that molina stole my other one yeah she stole it but anyway this one works great and we've got more of these on order i'm sorry they haven't come in yet we we buy just about everything they have in stock and then you know we sell out and then people want more and we have to wait to get more so the last 18 months or more has just been a waiting game wait and see okay and now on this one let me make sure i'm getting the right side we're going to do the same thing i'm going to put it right there what i'm going to do is make sure that it folds right in to that one so i'm just gonna make sure that my little pieces come together there so go ahead and put it on your spine part first see i just match that up and now it looks like one continuous piece i'm gonna trim this off and then we'll fold this over like that and that's how you make your lace trim a lot wider than what it is let's see it looks like it's one continuous piece all the way around and i just love that little bit of sparkle in there okay we're gonna lay that over there now we're gonna do a little bit of decorating to the front now i have trimmed out some things that was in the paper collection you know it come with a couple of two or three sheets that are like this and i've cut a lot of these out so i'm going to be using them on here and i think i'm going to use a little piece of that right at the top i'm just going to go ahead and put a little bit of brown ink on there and then we'll see where we need to cut it i'm going to tuck it in up under that and then bring it out to right there okay all right now all i need to do is just do that little bit of a corner round there just like let me take it off and i'll do it just take it on there and then just round it up a little bit like that let's see if that works and that is we're going to trim this little bit off right here a tiny bit because it's a little bit too long round it up again there we go perfect okay put a little ink there where i rounded that off and then we're going to glue this down now i could use my other glue but this is laying right here so i'm just going to grab it we're just going to tuck that little piece back under and press that down and that cute there i think that's super cute okay now i made this down i cut this out of the paper collection and let's see which way it's supposed to go that way and i'm going to make that for a little front pocket right there so we're going to put that down like that again i am going to ink but i don't think i'm going to cut a piece out of the top i don't think i'm going to pull put a pull there because i've already got some things that i want to tuck in there so i don't think we're going to need to do anything like that now i'm gonna open up my art glitter glue to do this because it has a finer tip and it works really well for those people who can run straight glue straight sometimes it doesn't work so well for us people who don't run glue straight okay and then we're gonna glue that down right there right at the bottom like that just press those sides down take a little towel and press those down okay then i have cut the little tag out now i haven't punched out the hole and i don't know that i will i think i might just put a little piece of this at the top just kind of fold it maybe like that and just put it at the top and put it at the top like that maybe yeah let's just glue that down i really didn't want a hole punched out and i didn't want to run a piece of string in there so i thought this might be my best bet right here and i don't want it folded over even so i'm just going to fold it a little bit crooked like that and then i'm just going to clip it off a little bit because i really don't want it that poking out that much okay let's put a little bit ink around it okay you guys let me know i watched a movie the other night and i loved it i suggested it to molina and brandon and they watched it and they hated it so you guys let me know if you have seen the new movie on netflix it's called woman in the window woman in the window i loved it they hated it but i like that type movie so maybe it was just me and they don't particularly like that type movie but let me know if you have watched it and what you think about it okay that's another little piece cut out of the paper just gonna tuck that down in there then let's see i also cut this little tab out of the paper collection and i had thought about just putting that right there like that so let's go ahead and do a little bit of inking on there cover up my white spots that in the cube i'm loving it and then this little butterfly of course he gets used and i've got some of those other butterflies cut out i'll probably put those somewhere on the inside but i don't know that i'll completely embellish all of the inside yet okay we're going to glue him down right there how cute look at that i am loving that okay what else have we got um we have let's see i don't want that on there got another little tab that piece i think that might be all i do to the front i'm gonna glue that down a little bit more right there that may be all that i do to the front right there and then i don't know that i'll do a lot of embellishing through here until i actually start adding some little photos in here i like to wait until i add my photos and that way you know you can um tell what you want to embellish them with now i may put a little that little pull on that just so that they'll know that that lifts up and then see you can just lift that up like that so i like that and let's see i may put another little butterfly in here those little butterflies are so cute let's put him coming down into that flower like that that's cute and he's so tiny i'm not going to worry about putting any ink on him he's a little bitty fella cute all right and then i do want to do a tag for this and i was thinking about just this piece it's the right width we do need to cut it off a little bit i don't think i want it any taller than that now we've got all kinds of things still in our kit that we've not even touched yet so we may go and grab a few things out of there and use them here i'm just going to go ahead and round all four corners and that can be just a little journaling card you can write on the back of that tuck that down in there and let's see do we need to put anything on it we might run that little piece of lace that we had left and this is not this is paper lace up the side there just to add a little bit more to there we go and then we could always put our other little butterfly there i guess i think i'll put it on the tag like that and i need a little piece of book page um this this is really this is really thick and you can't really tear it so i'm just going to use a little piece of book page that i can tear it's a little bit big so we'll cut that on down go ahead and ink this really well i love it having those larger words on there that's an edith holden book page it's my last little pieces i'll put that there cute and then we've got these that is so cute i love that and then let's see what else is in the kit that we might want to use on here where is my kit okay we have all kinds of embellishments we have all kinds of bling we have string but i don't think we need to tie that together it's not really bulging any oh we do have these beautiful keys you could use those let's just see what all we have in here we have these little wood pieces oh i need to use those and then we have the tags that we made those are going to be a little bit big for that so we'll use those in a different journal there's our little stamp i love that see if there's any of these it's going to be small enough that we could use um there's my little gessoed butterfly he actually got bent a little bit but he'll straighten right back out because i got just so on him let's see there's my i should have used that boot page see i forgot because i didn't have everything drug out here okay let's do this let's see do we want to put a flower on here maybe oh that's pretty that's pretty i'll show you how well he straightens out just because he's protected by just so i can even pull on him a little bit and there he is back and i'll put that on one of the pages i think so i think i am going to put that right there i like that i wish we could have got a ton of these flowers so that we could give have given everybody a bunch of them but they only sent us just a little handful we ordered like i don't know 6 000 or something and they sent us just a little handful that was just enough for each person to get maybe one or two i think you got one maybe i don't know but we just had to divide them out the best we could now we have these little keys and i'm loving this little key i'm going to take him off and we'll look at him if i don't use him i can always just put him back somewhere boy they put when they put these things on there they put them on there good don't they so would we use the key that butterflies a little small for the key to be his body let's see wow these are tough i can't even open up the and i don't have my tweezers right here either on my pliers oh i cut it off okay i just pulled that little piece off let's see i think i might put it there it's he's a little bit big for that butterfly but i don't think it looks bad to you is does it look bad or maybe we'll just use it as a charm hanging off the side what shall we do i don't know maybe we'll just put it on the lace up here maybe what about that i do agree he is a little bit big for the butterfly so what about we just put it there and that'll kind of balance that off we got a lot going on down here put that up there let's do that let's put our glue down here this is a beautiful key and these are nice metal keys too they're not cheap made we do still have some of these in stock so if you want to purchase some they're really good metal and they're it's six to little card and these are made by a family in florida so that's where i get them it's a little small business that hasn't been in operation very long and i found them and we started purchasing from them look at that that's cute now i like that okay so i'd like to have some more of these that are smaller we've got a couple here let's see do we want to cut take time to cut one out do you guys mind if i take time to cut one out all right now let's flip over to maybe this page we'll put it on that there we go okay now that looks better we have two on there instead of one that looks a little bit better all right we've got that i'm thinking that that may be all that we do i don't let's see if i want any of these little pearls in my center of my butterfly i might let's see what we have here these same size yeah those are the same size so let's just cut a couple of these over here i don't know how many you got of these this is just a little sleeve that i have had in my stash i got this little sleeve this little piece and then i've had those in my stash so i don't pack the kits anymore i just don't have time molina and brandon and bethany pack them and aaron he helps so i don't know exactly everything that goes in every kit but i just know you get some goodies look at that the more i add the more i like it all right i think i might stop there no i think i will okay now these these little wood pieces you can stamp on
