what's up guys today on McGee's garage we have the long awaited mini Jeep breakdown so this is the mini Jeep this is a piece of yard art but it looks good next to each other for the thumbnail so I got this from Tractor Supply I paid full price for it they run about 2500 bucks I'm not sponsored in any way by any company other than my supporting family couple things that broke on at first rip seat back there's a piece of plywood in here it is very broken you can kind of see it there uh that's mostly due to me popping wheelies uh the bolts rout out of here I had to replace it and you know more wheelies kind of kicked the back tire to the side this is a real gas can but it rattles around where you ride and it's just so freaking annoying so you know you turn the key on it's got headlights throw it on it's got little blinkers and stuff like a golf cart and uh so the horn button is here but there's little wires underneath it see that like and they're soldered to the actual horn so like you'll be on the gas pedal and you'll you know come off of a Ops or whatever and your foot will go up and it'll take out that wire off of that horn so that's just some of the main things that I don't think they're like super major but it's just kind of annoying so basically this is just a couple things that you need to know before you purchase one of these little mini Jeeps number one is to torque all of your bolts or at least nothing bolt thing this thing right here when I first got it this little nut here for this lower ball joint or whatever was all the way up here in the front wheel I was going down the road and the front wheel was doing this and I was like wow this thing handles terrible that's why and I'm honestly I'm not sure if Tractor Supply gets these fully assembled or if they're partially assembled or what I know that they're assembled in Texas which if you know about anything assembled in America it's really usually not that great this didn't come on it I uh I put that on there that's me at least the ones going through Tractor Supply they're called they're from this company called masimo which is I don't know it probably stands for I can't believe Americans buy this crap in Chinese but uh so the tub kind of flexes like that see it's on this driver side you can see it flexing and then on the passenger side you can see it's kind of concaved out you know so I have two options either I can always ride with a passenger which isn't really my deal I can lose weight but I'm not very fat I don't think or number two I can just drive from the middle but I don't don't really feel like doing that so then my other option is I can just Thug it out which is probably what I'm going to end up doing so what a lot of creators I've seen Miss on here is what exactly is going on in the rear end we are chain driven there is a tensioner there there is a disc brake it uses uh pillow blocks you can kind of see that there they're greaseable I first thing I did when I got it was I put grease in there in the pillow blocks and uh lubed up the chain change the oil not many content creators I've seen with at least the mimo Jeeps really show what's under there so I figured I'd go ahead and do that so people know exactly what they're getting into next we're going to check out under the hood pop these up get the hood off there's a uh little it's like a little four-wheeler battery here it's like a Chinese replica of a Muni carb supposedly this is a 125cc Honda clone uh I don't know of any of these that are four-wheel drive this one is little coilovers independent front with a racking pinion here that likes to hang out and tap the timing cover as you're driving so the gas mileage on this is probably close to 100 m per gallon if you're on road which is a lot of what I use it for is on road I'll hop in this and I'll go hop uh Pond hop throughout the neighborhood you know fishing or whatever when I have time so yeah that's pretty much it under the hood flip that back air cooled of course there's no coolant or anything you have to be worried about chokes here uh it does have hydraulic disc brakes which I thought was kind of cool but we can go ahead fire it up it fires up pretty good you got to do a little bit of your own tuning I'm just going to say this right now and this isn't meant to offend anybody on their skills or anything like that but if you're not at least kind of experienced in basic mechanics with Automotive or ATVs do not buy this because it's going to be sitting in your yard broken or not running right another thing for the engine the oil that's in it before you even really fire it up or drive around the yard or anything have wet clutch motorcycle oil there I use I believe I use 20 w50 wet clutch Lucas Oil oil the reason for that is because this basically uses a uh Honda clone transmission as well on the back of the engine here and you have three speeds you get so it's up to actually so it's up to go in reverse so you get reverse you go down and you get one two three and you know I have to you got to Rocket see but there's one and it's got this little indicator on there whatever A lot of people say uh use you know 15 w40 whatever like it says in the manual in the manual it says I I think it said to go freaking 500 miles or something ridiculous L like that before changing the oil you're crazy this is a fourstroke 125 500 mil to change the braking oil are you nuts when you first get this thing and you're breaking it in you can't change the oil enough and the type of oil you put in the engine will determine how the engine performs in the future and how long it will do it there's a lot of people that think they can shortcut on the oil in their engine I'm not one of those people yeah you know whatever your uncle's got a Toyota with 500 ,000 mil on it that only ran whatever oil was on sale at Walmart the day he went in that's fine I don't care I use good oil I use AMS oil Lucas oil Rotella uh Castrol any any of those name brand oils they're good with these small engines especially you're not going to gain anything by like lit this thing takes like barely a not even a quart of oil and you're going to try and save what $3 no just put the good oil in it and the shifting gets smoother it really does cuz when you first get it the shifting isn't great and you know that's why I say wet clutch formula because it's a wet clutch the shifting immediately gets better so I'm going to actually probably going to hop in this thing and take it up the road real quick see it just shifts so easy oh look we got some dirt here hold on oh we got some dirt mounts yeah watch thiso oh no we shut it off see look at that so this thing rides really good for like a go-kart you know we're going to go ahead and get it up to 40 and then we're going to play on Theo see this thing stops on a dime cuz those little disc brakes in there I think they're off like a like a fourwheeler or something so riding around WR yard here all right so we did a couple flybys it's pretty fun it's good just to rip around the hood you know especially if you got if you live in a rural area you got a little bit of property these things these uh little mini Jeeps they're perfect if you'd like to see videos of what this thing can really do I'll link one right up here probably in a card it's called mini Jeep Kahana I highly recommend you guys look at it it's a super fun video if you want to actually see me rip this thing probably also I will probably also l link that down in the description in casee you guys missed the card or I can't figure out how to put it on I don't think I've put on a card yet but anyway this is a super cool little unit here if this if you got a little bit of property this is a great little Ripper and uh it's super cute especially if you already got a Jeep or two hanging around or a rock sore or whatever is this thing worth what they're asking for it I don't know I would almost recommend that you get one on Marketplace for cheaper used but I can Almost 100% guarantee that it's been beaten hard put up wet and it's probably being sold because it's just clapped and they lack the mechanical talent to fix it don't don't believe any of that oh my kids outgrew it you know that's the oldest Marketplace trick in the book anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this video on the Tractor Supply Massimo mini Jeep we'll see you on the next episode of McGee's garage oh
