Minecraft 1.20 - All Secret Blocks & Items - Java Edition

hello everybody welcome back to another video and in this video i'm gonna be showing you all the secret blocks and items in minecraft 1.18 and if you like macro videos like this one then please make sure you leave a like and subscribe to the channel for more mag videos like this one and so here we go so in microphone with 18 there are a whole lot of secret blocks and items you've already seen them in the thumbnail and i'll go a little bit more into depth for all of these and i'll show you how you get them so i've done videos like this before the previous one was from micro 1.16 but since then there have been a couple of blocks added and so we'll go through those as well and so let's just start off on the right side over here so here we have four potion related items so these are the uncraftable potion the splash uncraftable potion the lingering uncraftable potion and the uncraftable tipped arrow and all these have a special purple color and furthermore they're also not enchanted like all of these potions are over here the only ones that don't have the enchantment glint are the orchid potion thick potion mundane potion and water bottle but they're all blue and these uncraftable ones are all purplish pink and so it's also strange that it says uncraftable because of course normally you brew potions in a brewing stand and not in a crafting table you get them using a gift command so you can give yourself a potion like this then you get an uncraftable potion you can add mpt data to get a special type of potion but if you don't add anything to it you just get an uncrossable potion same with splash potion like this then of course also lingering potion and same with the tipped arrow and she'll also leave all of these commands i show and i use for the secret blocks items in the description down below so you can copy them from there and paste them in your own world and get the special secret blocks and items in minecraft 1.18 now of course let's see what would in a craftable potion do do i get some special effects if i drink this well here we go we drink it and i just had the night vision i already had but you don't get any effects from these also not from the splash potion is of course a nice particle here but yeah you won't get any effect from any of these potions also for some reason the lingering potion doesn't linger so here's an healing lingering potion you see this special effect with lingering and if you step into it you get the instant health effect but for some reason that doesn't happen with the lingering and craftable potion you just splash it you see one particle and then it just disappears and just to be complete yes also the tipped arrow doesn't give you any effects although it hurts because it's an arrow alright let's move on to this next row over here so first of all down here is the petrified oak slab not only you can get it with a command will be in the description below but you can also get it in the creative inventory here petrified oak slab there's no way to obtain it in survival mode and it has a special property that it will not be caught on fire if it's near lava or if you set it on fire with flint and steel it will also not disappear so let's do fire tick to true and then we'll see that these spruce planks should be burned at some point but this petrified oak slab will never be burned by any fire there we go these spruce planks are being burned and the fire is spreading next to it but this petrified oak slab will be here until i break it of course now let's quickly put out the fire before this becomes an issue there we go and the battlefield overstep survives then just above the petrified oak slab we have the jigsaw block and this is a block that is used to generate structures in your world like villages and so it has an interface there is the target pool name target name turns into lots of stuff here so so far i haven't figured out how to make a jigsaw block work and so if you know how to make it work then please let me know in the comments down below but i don't think it is possible there's like levels seven levels there's joint type rollerball and aligned there's keep jigsaw on and off and generate yeah nothing really happens if you like add a name to here of the target pool and all this stuff it still doesn't work but it is a quite nice block it has three arrows on it on three sides there's a jigsaw piece on it and there's also this line on this side and the back side looks something like this with just a completely empty square but it's actually pretty nice texture and you could use it for building if you wanted to although it's a pain to place them down because it's dependent on which side of the block you place it on so you'd have to do something like this there we go now we can remove these and there we go we got a nice pattern on the floor this could work as a carpet or something i think it looks pretty nice then over here we have a copper block no it's not a copper block actually because if we middle click we get a map yeah a completely invisible map so that's quite strange if you look at the map we can see nothing okay well great and we can travel around nothing really happens we can move it around in our inventory we can right click left click yeah looks really strange and there's just nothing on the map so this is actually a filled map and you can get it by giving yourself a filled map like this there you go second field map there is nothing in there you can put it in an item frame so there we go put it in the item frame we can turn around we can hear it move actually there we go so now it's upside down but you still see it you can pick it back out again but yeah that's pretty much it so in the previous version the map actually did show up in the item frame but now it doesn't even show up in the item frame anymore and there's just nothing on it at all so quite odd then we move on to this block over here which is the barrier you can only see it when you're holding another barrier in your hand and it works as an invisible block that works as a barrier as a name or suggest you can't walk through it and so it's nice if you need some invisible walls around your map and you don't want a massive wall of glass just on the side of your map you can just add a layer of barrier blocks and you can't pass through it if you don't hold the barrier in your hand they slowly disappear and they can't see them anymore you can still see the outline but you can't see the outline in adventure mode and then it's just completely invisible you can't pass through and you get the barrier by of course giving yourself a barrier all right next row is completely made up of command blocks so we have the normal impulse command block it's also just called command block then there's also the chain command block the repeating command block and the command block minecart or minecart with command block so if the command block can just activate commands a single time so if you say subscribe like this done and we grab a button of course this command block will only activate once then next is the chain command block and this will actually work in yes you guessed it a chain and this also depends on the direction the arrow is on the command block so now if we have a impulse come on back at the start we can add some chain command blocks behind it like this and then we can do for example say start here then say one two three four and five like this now if you activate the one at the front there we go as you can see all of them activated so we got start first and one then two then three and four and five but all did activate in the same tick as you can see so this can be really useful if you want to activate multiple commands but you don't want a repeater between them so it takes longer to activate all of them this actually activates all the command blocks in the same tick but still in the right order as in which you place them and then there's also the repeating command block which as the name suggests will repeat the command and so we'll activate the command every single tick so if we activate it for this button press we see that it activates a whole lot of times might actually activate twice per tick since i do believe the stone button activates for 10 ticks and there's probably like 20 chat messages here and finally there's the minecart with command block which you can of course put on rails and this microwave command lock will only get activated once it reaches an activated activator reel so there we go on top of the activator reel and it's automatically executed the command that's in here once it reaches an activated activator reel actually did it twice because it was so slow but that could be really useful i don't know i've never seriously used any of these command block minecarts but in large contraptions they might be really useful then next over here we have two structure blocks so first of all there's the structure block itself and then there is the structure void and so if you want to know how to use structure blocks i've made a tutorial for both java edition and better conditions so go check that out link is in the top right hand side of your screen but basically these can be used to save structures in your world and load them somewhere else and in javanese this can actually be used to transport structures between different worlds which is really really useful and so the structure block ui looks something like this where you can load structures here you can also use the corner mode to automatically detect how big the structure is and you can use safe mode over here and in save mode if you put any of these structure voids in your structure that just means that if you load the structure somewhere else it will keep the original blocks there and it won't destroy them by filling them with air so yeah some of the most useful blocks in the game if you want to move structures then here we have the spawner and the spawner minecart i can't get them into my inventory by middle clicking so for the spawner we can just get it from here if you want to know how to get blocks like this into your inventory once again i made a video on that link is in the top right side of your screen but basically what you want to do is just give yourself a spawner of course if i missed any of the blocks so far it's basically what you expect it to be and otherwise as i said all the commands are in the description down below so this is how to get a spawner and for the spawn of course they can generate in your world in dungeons and in bastion remnants nether fortresses some other places as well but if you just give a spawner to yourself it automatically defaults to a pig spawner which is not a spoiler you can normally get and you can also change it to whatever mob spawner you want by grabbing a spawn axe let's say we wanted it to be a piglen brood spawner then we just grabbed the pigelin brute spawnak right click on the spawner and immediately changes to a pigelin brood spawner so currently it isn't spawning anything because of course it's daytime but if we change in time tonight there we go it automatically spawns in some piglin broods they'll actually get turned into some fight piglens because they're in your world sorry guys yep there we go and as for the spawner minecart you can get it by using the summon command so you just summon a spawner mine card like this so the spawner minecart works slightly different to the normal spawner because you can't change the mob by right clicking it with a spawn egg since it's an entity and not a block itself but yeah as expected you can change the command so this time we have a custom command and now this spawner minecart should spawn in polar bears so there we go yes it spawns in polar bears so also leave that command in the description down below so you can make this one a custom spawner as well to whatever mob you want it to spawn then let's move on to this column over here first of all we have the skulk sensor so of course this is currently a secret block but it won't be in 1.19 because then it will be a block that will generate in the ancient cities which is a structure that will generate in 1.19 i made a video going in depth on the ancient cities is in the top right side of your screen but the skull extension will detect any noise around it and will send a signal towards the skull sensor and have a redstone signal output and can also differentiate between different types of noise like hitting a mob or walking or jumping or falling or getting into water all these different actions have a different frequency and so if you put a comparator next to it it will give out a different redstone signal and so currently it's only available by using the command give at p skulk sensor like this and then you get h calc sensor and we have a block that was already in better condition for a pretty long time it is the light block and as its name suggests it will give of light so once again let's set the time tonight and let's also remove my night vision there we go and now if you place down this light block you see it automatically displays light level 15 at that block and then if you remove the light block from your hand it also disappears from the ground here so there we go it disappears and you just see the light and so it doesn't work like a barrier you can just walk straight through it and you can also not see the hitbox of the light block if you're not holding it and so can be really useful to light up special areas and also if you as if you're holding a light block and then right clicking on the light block it will actually change its level so you can right click it and then it goes back to zero and it takes a really long time to update so that's quite odd if i click again we get light level one yes there it is and so on so we can click it click it and it will increase in light level every single time and also the texture of the light item changes in there current level 12 13 14 and then back to 15 although it now says 19 but update please there we go and so you can also get all these individual light level light blocks in your hand by just clicking on it and then just middle clicking the block will get this item into your inventory with the right level you want it to be but of course if you want to get it initially you'll just have to use the command again so slash give at b light and then you get a light level 15 light block then next we have a suspicious stew so this is an item you get when you right click a mushroom with a ball after giving it a certain flower and normally if you eat the suspicious 2 it will give you a potion effect depending on which flower you gave the mushroom but this suspicious two is special because it won't actually give you a potion effect if you eat it so we kind of don't have any potion effects and if we eat it we still don't have any potion effect we don't get anything from the suspicious too and that's just because we gave it to ourselves with the command slash give at the suspicious stew like this then this over here is the bundle it's an item that was added in minecraft 1.17 but it hasn't really been implemented yet as you'll probably see it added back into survival mode at some point in a future update but what it does is it can store items so let's just grab like half a stack of saplings right click on the bundle and you can add items like this to the bundle some deep slate iron ore and we can also add some dirt to it so it can only hold a single stack of items but it can be different types of items so it should be helpful to clear up some clutter from your inventory and if you right click the bundle itself again you can get the items back out or if you right click it when holding it like this it just spews them out onto the ground that's how it works currently we don't know if that's how it's going to work in the future as well because yeah they haven't added this to the game yet so most likely they're still going to change it and then add the bundle back into the game then this over here is the debug stick and it can be used to change the mvt data of blocks if right click this grass over here for example you can see that we can set it snowy to true or if you go to for example this stair we can right click it to change the direction of the stairs we can also left click to change the thing we're changing and this time you can also change the stair to bottom or top and can also add a wall locked part or not so basically just all the things you see on the f3 screen on the right over here like facing half shape and waterlogged you can change with the debug stick and that works for pretty much every block in the game here we go we can change the direction of the campfire we can also change if it's lit or not and we can change if it has a signal or not so this means that it would have a hay block below it and so the smoke will actually go higher than the other campfires we see over here and i can also change if it's waterlogged or not so really useful stick that you can use to change the properties of the blocks in your world and then finally we just have three books left that's the written book the knowledge book and the enchanted book so the written book is as it says a written book if we open it it just says invalid book tag and so you get this item by using slash gif at b written book not writable book written book like this and then you get this item of course normally if you get a book and quill you can write something in it and then make it a written book but then it has your text in it in this case it just has invalid book tag in red in it already then this over here is the knowledge book and it's actually the book you see either in your inventory or in the crafting table for the recipes and so here we can see that it's not actually exactly the same item it looks a little strange here but you can actually get it into your inventory and use it to gain recipes so it's a pretty cool item and then finally there's the enchanted book which is just an internal book without any enchantments yeah useful and so if we try to apply this enchanted book we see that it doesn't work and this doesn't work with any item in the game so yeah just completely useless but still pretty cool to have and so there we go those are all the secret blocks and items you can get in minecraft 1.18 i hope you enjoyed this video and if
