welcome back to the graham stefan show my name is graham and welcome to my show and today we're going to be watching one of my favorite all-time series out there on youtube it's basically this this trend now you guys can see i have no coffee in this uh you got me i'm filming this at 10 p.m at night and i just i decided it's too late to uh to drink coffee it literally it's 10 p.m so i i put a cup here just to pretend like i had coffee but then like i just dump it out so all right guys i don't need the cup anymore it's too late and uh i don't need any more caffeine but today's episode we got this youtuber her name is clancy burke and she's a newscaster and her videos are like how i wake up at two o'clock in the morning like literally she wakes up at 2 am at the time where like like most people are going to bed she's waking up uh to do like early like 4 a.m news so anyway let's watch your video it's got almost 500 000 views we'll smash the like button for the youtube algorithm and and start the video here what's up guys it's clancy and we're doing it we are hopping on the bandwagon and we are doing a what i spend in a week video i currently live in cincinnati in the midwest and a lot of these videos i've seen in la and new york and these really busy popular cities but i thought it'd be really cool to show you guys what it's like living in the midwest i guarantee whatever she's spending is 30 percent less easy than it would be in la that's why i love living in vegas it's just like everything it's like 20 less housing is half the price everything is half it's it's amazing to save money and i'm going to show you what it's like being a 24 year old in cincinnati who is really desperately trying to save money that's a lot of jump cuts imagine if i have jump cuts like this every few words that i talk is just another jump cut too many too many clancy okay we're at kroger let's go inside all right so we're in whoa jack why can't we do transitions like that let's do a transition like that into this ready this week we have some dryer sheets which i don't even know what kind to get oh i like fresh linen okay dryer sheets and i get the big kind because saving money the unit price goes down when you get the bigger so we got 120 count ah smart there we go smart she's saving like 30 cents right there congratulations and i'm personally a tresemme gal let's just pick this stuff hairspray 4.99 you know what it takes a lot of courage like this to vlog in public i gotta say if you're alone and you're not with anybody else and you have a camera with you and you're talking to the camera people think you're crazy like they give you the wildest looks i get so self-conscious if i'm filming in public unless there's someone else with me and then i'm like people know i'm not crazy because there's someone else with me so like we can't both be crazy so uh yeah vlogging in public is tough this is like my biggest expense of the week probably just all at once which is why i'm not going to be showing you guys like every meal i eat that i cook because it's just all right here you know what i mean oh that's not bad that's not bad at all uh 76 bucks i hope that would last for the entire week so uh or more than a week actually this should probably last for 10 days pretty good oh we have everything in our bags right now but i want to give you a kroger kroger is a great spot to get groceries it's not like the health is healthy too expensive kroger is actually decent uh one of my old go-to's was ralph's ralph's they have a manager's special just big tidbit for anyone out there i i would usually go grocery shopping i kid you not at midnight because i hate waiting in line and i would go grocery shopping at midnight and they would have a manager special because basically all the food that's like expiring the next day that they need to get rid of uh is like half price so i get there late at night i get all the manager specials i'd save like 50 on my grocery bill just by doing that and i'm gonna eat the food anyway so it's not like it's gone bad it's just it's going bad like two days so you just gotta eat it then but it's a great way to save money i have a strict only cooking policy monday tuesday wednesday and thursday and i will not get anything out to eat i force myself to cook on those days and then sometimes a couple of days of the weekend but the weekend i'm not strict you're gonna see that but yeah this is a huge a health tip just you know instead of going to get fast food or something there are days like today when i come home and i'm starving and i just want to grab something so quick that tastes so good instead of cooking something but i literally refuse like i truly don't do it also it saves me so much money uh she's got a lot of self-control i don't think she's gonna be messing up let's see but i have to say i think the type of person who could force themselves to get up at like two o'clock in the morning every day for work is probably the type of person who has that type of self-control in other areas of their life as well so i think this is just her personality she's really good at discipline and um i think she's gonna do well i'm gonna go cook this up and eat some stuff because i'm hungry and i'll check them with you next time i buy something well here's the thing i just got home from work look at the edits jack let's just do cool edits like that just put cool transitions from this into the video let's do that jack let's up our editing a little bit and i can say with confidence that i will not be spending any money today or today or today and there's a reason for that whoa do you see that do you guys see that that is just cool editing cool editing so i have a rule that i'm not allowed to spend any money on tuesday wednesday and thursday and i know rules in general are not fun but seriously this is such a game changer for me i make it a point to a lot these days throughout the week where i can't spend a dime that's pretty good i could never go like a day i don't want to say i can never go anywhere spending money but i can't guarantee myself a day without spending anyway because sometimes there are things that come up that like you just need you just need like little tiny things or stuff breaks and you gotta fix it honestly i'd say for a lot of people as long as you don't have like last minute expenditures coming up great um my rent each month is 760 dollars i split this with zach as you guys know which she splits out with her boyfriend 190 per week so cheap so cheap if that were la minima that looks like a 2 000 a month apartment so for spectrum i pay 69 and then for electric around 67. and obviously guys i do want to have a little disclaimer if something crazy happens on a wednesday like i i don't know i ran out of something i don't like i can't explain it like the rule is not this crazy thing where it's like oh man i'm gonna go hungry tonight like no obviously if i need to spend money on a wednesday i need to spend money on a wednesday uh i would actually take it so literally that like no i can't i can't spend money on wednesday sorry car broke down i guess it's sitting on the freeway today i can't spend it's a wednesday guys sorry just move around it's a wednesday but with that being said it kind of all gets ruined over the weekend i'm scared to see how much i spend on food why does she go so crazy on weekends so what is this she's doing so well it's like it's like you diet so well during the week and then just like saturday comes along and then you just you basically waste all the work you put in during the let's see what's up guys it is officially the weekend and this is where things get a little bit messy definitely uh this is where i spend all my money here's how this is gonna go so zach and i basically we will both bite like i'll buy his stuff one time hell by mine you know what i mean we just like switch on and off so i'm just gonna add this up of just me just because that's weird i don't know you know what i mean like i'm just gonna do how much i spend yeah if we did that like switch back and forth like uh when i had to pay i'll usually just get nothing and then the next time when it's on somebody else i'll just get the most expensive thing kidding or am i so yeah we're gonna go eat some dinner i'll show you guys what i get i already know what i'm gonna get and we're gonna be rich off my investment today anyway oh my gosh dude what did he bought like a bitcoin thing oh but better oh i bet he's on wall street bets he's like yeah i got the gamestop call options for april 2022 30 it's good we're gonna be rich you see game gamestop is just absurd absurd oh but better but i can't give away my secrets he came home and was like we're gonna be rich and all i heard from that whole thing his whole thing about bitcoin is that he spent twenty dollars yeah that's all i heard i'm like apache comes home he tries to sell like some mlm program he's like clancy like we could get your followers they could they could get in underneath us and then they could have their own people underneath them and then we get a percentage of that just imagine it's an mlm dogecoin the oge he's the doge i like him it's funny all right guys it's time for the big bill we're 4307 let's see who won how much did you guys spend tonight get tanner's card 22 bucks it's not bad it's not bad uh let's see bb king 1275 laguna's little something b what what are this oscar blew dale's pale ale two dollars for that seems like a good deal t does 325 again guys these la just add a one in front of everything so basically i'm ready to spend money i'm ready to eat zach's at the gym right now i went earlier this morning and he said what are you thinking for lunch and i said open to anything and that's all i saw up until this clip he just texted me and in my mind i was thinking i was actually about to come on here and tell you guys like what a risky move when i say open to anything and there was just one thing one place that i did not want to go and that's what he's in the mood for he said he has one more circuit and then he's done ladle sounds good to me so i want to spend time with him but i i just i don't want to do cold cuts why can't she just say she doesn't feel in the mood for cold cuts why is it just like open to anything and he's like ladles and then she's like no anything except for that that that's uh story of my life sometimes it's like i'll be like mace what do you want for dinner tonight oh whatever you want i'm like okay how let's do this no i don't want that i'm like just offer a suggestion gosh that's not that hard okay minor update zach says he's willing to go anywhere and let me just can we just give a little interlude here is that the right word i hope it is that zack is just the best human ever and because of that i want us to go to ladles oh he's playing into that he knows he knows that and he's like oh yeah fine we don't have to go to ladles knowing that she'll be like no that's okay lean on the ladles he knows he's smart all right our lunch we are at ladles zach got his ladles and this i know i don't have a receipt to prove it but i promise you guys this was 8.95 nine dollars it looks like a crappy sandwich i'll be honest with you that does not look good i don't know why he wants to go there because that's that's the type of stuff you can make at home for like two dollars i make that just like slap and bread together with turkey on the manager special and just toast it for it's like that's not worth it's 95 bad place no wonder she doesn't want to go to ladles who's ready for some sushi i'm so annoying but yes we're about to go to fusion i don't know if you guys have one where you're from but it's just the best place ever fusion look at that i love sushi i bet this is so cheap let's see i actually i bet it's not as cheap as this place in la i'm about to bring a lot of attention to this place um it's called sushi ipo it's in los angeles jack let's throw up the yelp page right here i gotta tell you guys the sushi b combination it's basically an all you can eat quantity of food for two people for like thirty dollars it's insane it's seriously one of the best values of sushi in la the other thing with jack is that we have an agreement it's uh if we get a one out of ten on the main channel which means we have the number one performing video in the last ten we uh treat ourselves to sushi with sushi info that's been our thing so if anyone is in la and uh you want sushi ippo uh highly recommend them and they're not sponsoring this or anything they don't give me anything extra for like going and mentioning them like i still pay for the sushi but i just want to do them a favor and i'm sure they're they're having a very difficult time right now um just financially so like for anyone who's in l.a you want a great deal on sushi sushi hippo just and just tell them just tell them that graham stefan told you about it and they're going to be so confused you're going to be like wait what gramps told you about so anyway that's my sushi hippo [Music] heck yeah it's so lit oh that's one of those things i don't know why uh ever since i was a uh i guess when i was 16 i would only ever have usually like 20 bucks cash that i would go and fill up the car and my thinking was that if i fill it all the way up the car is gonna weigh more and it's going to be less fuel efficient so i'd rather just put 20 in at a time and then that way there's less weight in the car and my gas should hypothetically go further first stop done i've acquired the goods i repeat i have acquired the goods and it is eight dollars and ninety eight cents was my proof where is my crew 898 don't say it that's good good deal chicken and rice 8.98 not bad good good spot second stop let's get it that's not bad not bad if if this is for like big spending over the weekend it's not terrible okay we just went to currito i got a salad that i will show you guys that was um math 829 plus 175 for chicken bringing us up to the grand total of about 10 bucks so this is what it looks like but a little pro tip if you go home that looks like a better chipotle lately chipotle's been skimping how often do you go to chipotle and you get a bowl and they barely put anything on it and you don't want to be like rude and be like hey can i get more but you have to be like you have to be like that because otherwise they've been skimping and i have a feeling it's probably corporate who's telling all the managers like hey listen we're loading up a bit too much rice here what was that is that the camera did it break uh i don't know i will i'll deal with it after this guys the camera was out there and it fell and uh let's we'll just continue with the video now it is time for the fun part where we are going to add it up so this is just purely you know food groceries any extras anything like that came to a grand total of 160 dollars and 62 cents not bad at all not bad at all i bet for what she's making her youtube channel is easily making it's gotta be like seven seven grand a month i'm guessing she's probably gotta be making another five six thousand a month from her newscaster she's making bank and she's barely spending any of it i i bet she's saving a lot of it then when it came to my rent utilities all of that when you cut it you know slice it by four because you know four weeks in a month it came to 224 and then my grand total this week in my life how much money came out of my bank account how much did i spend was 384.62 i had nothing i really honestly have nothing to critique her i bet she i just hope she's saving and investing that large portion of her money i bet she is but that it's perfect it's really i i don't really see anything here that i would even uh mention what about like phone bill maybe phone bill insurance car repairs maybe there's got to be some other stuff health insurance uh however i don't know there's got to be some other stuff in there maybe maybe round this to 400 still really good true happiness isn't going to be having the most fashionable clothes this turtleneck i got gosh in college i believe my sophomore year of college i don't shop very often but that's okay because this is not the goal my goal personally i mean this is just me sharing my you know personal goal i mean i'm more interested in where am i going to live in 10 years i want a a beautiful home not necessarily a mansion or anything like that i'm not going to be able to afford a mansion okay but i do want a nice home in possibly a nice area so yeah i hope this video just gave you a little look inside my life all right so great video no complaints honestly i just i want to know how much money she's making so i uh clancy i i putting this out to you now now the the the turns have tabled here i want you to make a video how much i make in a week as a you got to be 25 now so as a 25 year old how much do you make in a week my guess is in a week how much is i'm gonna do some math here i bet you i bet you're probably making 15 000 a month that's my guess you're making 3 000 a week and let's see let's see you make the video how much i how much i make in a week and we'll put all of this in context but overall in terms of just spending fantastic no money is being wasted there's really nothing i could critique i wish this were a video where i could really just dig into it just yell and just be angry i can't but uh honestly
