Millionaire Reacts: How Much I Spend In A Week As A College Student

welcome back to the graham stefan show my name is graham and welcome to my show and uh we're back at it today with me criticizing other people's spending habits and uh so what i've been doing lately is going to the recommended feature of youtube and basically just leaving it up to youtube to decide which videos i watch and today youtube decided to uh grace me with this video here it's called how much i spend in a week as a college student wait for it nothing by this uh youtuber maddie westbrook and immediately below her name we have so this is embarrassing i need to slow down so obviously it's probably gonna be a great video so let's do this guys let's do our part to smash that like button for the youtube algorithm and get our free stocks down below in the description because weeble's get some music going right now i hope we're feeling the vibe let's get some lights we are actually starting on a wednesday i meant to start this on monday and then completely forgot remembered in the middle of the day and i'm like well it's too late now so we're just going to start wednesday and we're going to end next tuesday that's what i love about these what i spend in a week's as the college students because so many college students just have terrible spending habits it's so bad and if i'm looking for a train wreck and to really like just ream into somebody for their spending habits these typically are the best options that i've noticed for whatever reason i checked my email and i got an email from our professor saying that class was canceled today i was like thank goodness so we're off to a good start oh that's i'm so happy i just stopped going to school one day well i didn't not really it's just i i i decided my senior year of high school i think i've told the story before but my senior year of high school i just made it a goal of mine to miss one day a week of school and i would ditch and i'd go and work instead so it wasn't like i was ditching school to like go and get into trouble i don't miss this getting up going to classes let's make money today guys let's watch some youtube videos call options yolos and make money today i kind of just want to put it out there that i think i spend more than the average college student just because i do have an income coming in so i'm able to spend that money oh oh no that's what you don't want to say i spend more because i make money so i spend all of it no no should spend the same amount but save the difference that's it and then and then she could graduate college no student loan debt maybe she's got 10 or 20k in the bank she could she could live it up but no she's spending now so for my first payment this week it's gonna be a ticket oh whoa did not see that one coming there wow that's a curveball that's a horrible looking ticket why do they got why do they have to make these tickets look so daunting like bright yellow on your car windshield it just makes it look like you just don't want to pay it they should make it a nice neutral color something non-threatening maybe a little smiley face on the on the front just being like hey you parked here weren't supposed to do that well it's not the end of the world but you do owe us 50 bucks yeah this is weird welcome to one of my lecture halls lily's water bottle this is so weird looking it's just one flavor a lot of mexican i just get the chips combo why is this so just like boom boom boom boom boom different scenes that didn't need to be in there it she it's 16 minutes long she could have probably gotten it down to nine minutes just by cutting out like we don't need to see the lecture hall we could have done without that is that a louis vuitton wallet look at that it's a louis vuitton wallet maybe maybe that's fake we don't know very nutritious lunch what is that that looks horrible that honestly looks horrible so it's just chips with guacamole on the side with some sort of like queso thing they didn't even bother to really mix it up it just slapped together that's worth four dollars max no more than four bucks now i'm going to go pay my stupid ticket i don't even know where this is it's literally the courthouse wait a second you actually have to show up to the courthouse to pay a ticket no they all have the options pay it online you just go online you do it from your phone in like a second i've never seen it before it's like oh gotta go into the courthouse today and pay my ticket what year is this are we in like 1950 no look at this you could see on her uh what finger their middle finger here she's got one of those cartier rings on so she's got a louis vuitton wallet a cartier ring and uh too much bling too much [Music] 16 bucks seriously this whole thing was over sixteen dollars geez in la 16 is uh cheaper than it would cost to actually pay for the parking meter so it's actually cheaper to get the ticket then pay a parking meter in los angeles that's not bad at all um i'm at target with friends and i'm gonna get a starbucks drink so spending money round two they always put those starbucks in the target because when you're out shopping and you're spending money they know that once you get in the habit the psychological habit of spending money you're more likely to spend more money see how it goes like once your wallet's already out i may as well just go and get a coffee so yeah garrett this is she's not getting out here less than like 50 60 bucks they gave us all free drinks so i didn't spend any money on this wait what wow maddie if you're watching this which you might be comment down below let me know how you're able to get free drinks because i want to be able to do this trick this life hack this this magic sorcery what is this i want to be able to do that too how many of you guys do that too every single time you see like monitoring in progress filming a project how often do you just go look at the camera just wave i'm wondering if there's ever a person on the other end of it just looking at a screen of cameras just like hey they waved to me this way back but you can't see them how often does that happen 37 they actually got out of there for less than i thought so congrats to them it's all desserts there's actually there's like very little nutrition in this it's all just desserts i need to get a new charger because the one that i have now is like wires are coming out of it i need washcloths because i swear i used to have so many why did you just order it on amazon i started realizing guys like honestly it's so much easier just don't do anything and just order it online like just wait two days to get it it's about the same price but you save all the time from having to go to a store and run errands and gas or electricity it's so much easier order online you're done oh i like the grandma in front of us this is good look at her outfit this is this is style guys look at this we got the velvet pants we got the nice the coordination the color coordination on this is fantastic be funny she turns around like why are you following me don't follow me [Music] that was sixty dollars like it's only day two and i've spent over a hundred dollars ah look at these transit these are the cool imovie transition where it goes like the next scene i'm going to get subway from the ferg but i'm using my dining dollars to buy it so this doesn't count this does count it does because you're paying tuition just because it's included in tuition doesn't mean they don't jack up the price of tuition and then give you a little few breadcrumbs back you know instead of charging you 20 000 for tuition they charge you 25 and you're like oh but we give you a 500 dining credits you're like oh yeah that's a good deal it still counts [Music] it's always interesting how they do those scenes because you realize like she's got to put her camera in the car first close the door then pretend like she's walking back into the car to get the camera like it just happened to be there there's a lot of thought that goes into this so i'm nervous to see how much this parking fee will be ah seven bucks what a waste of money that's a waste parking fees are the worst oh so like was no one gonna tell me that like i bought the wrong charger how dare you i literally does this look like a usb to me did she not look did she not look and see what she bought did you just grab one i mean it's obviously not the right shirt but you plug it in the the macbook the the macbook pro that you probably have [Music] i like how she used the same b-roll shot with the same gram on there that that's editing at its finest the same b-roll literally i woke up this morning i got a little bit of work done and then i sat on my couch i'm not even getting you until 4 p.m watching the shane dawson jeffrey star series thing gosh what a luxury what a luxury sometimes i i look at this and i'm like you have the time just to watch just sit there just in the middle of the day and just watch a whole documentary on shane dawson and jeffree star wow imagine to have free time like that but i lost track of time because i was watching all of those and didn't have time to eat dinner because i actually mean you didn't have time to cook dinner because you're watching shane dawson the entire time you have time to cook dinner you have time to do all these things so i got a kid's meal from there and it was 16 or 16. 6 69. saturday while i was at church i bought a coffee which was two dollars and then a friend came over we ordered a pizza and that was twenty dollars and sixty cents i also got coffee this morning which is two dollars oh you can make coffee at home look at that she's got a coffee maker right there zoom into that she's got one right there she doesn't need to buy coffee she's got a perfectly good coffee maker at home that she just doesn't use i think i'm gonna order chipotle because i'm annoying imagine if you're the chipotle driver you're showing up to the door and you see like just a camera recording pointing at the door and you're like is this a prank this is a prank this is a prank that's what i would think i am running a few errands today i am going to i'm going to heritage house right now to get a coffee and some lunch running a few errands today we're gonna go get lunch it's an errand uh go and buy a coffee that was on the to-do list today you know just the normal stuff ten dollars and six cents ten dollars for coffee and a croissant geez when i release my coffee brand it's it's it's going to blow all of this out of the water i'm really excited for it it's been it's been in the works for months now not quite ready can't mention too much yet but when i release my own coffee i could just be like hey don't do that no more i'll send you i'll send you a coffee on me but then the next one you gotta buy that'll be my agreement [Music] so it was eighty dollars to get my toes and nails done wow 80 bucks to get your toes in it you know what she could do instead is just wear shoes and gloves then nobody sees nobody will notice same thing and you save the money i'm getting gas but the thing is i didn't put my shoes back on after i got my toes done so i'm about to walk out in these little flip-flop things and it's gonna be real cute i don't think anybody's looking at her as she's uh filling up the gas tank being like hey look at her toes maybe they are i don't know okay guys so new camera here looks a bit different than the other clips but it is tuesday wow look at the improvement of the camera this looks way better how much was that i spent another 20 dollars at the arcade i think i'm gonna go to smoothie key and get a smoothie so yeah that sounds really good [Music] yeah it's a lot of frivolous spending that's really what this is spending she doesn't need i think a lot of it is probably just out of boredom like if she's looking for errands to run during the day just bored uh she's not busy enough with school or uh she needs to make more youtube videos to make more money if she was really busy working all the time she wouldn't even have time to spend money like this time to go to the airport let's go so enter security security is fine um i checked my bag which was thirty dollars check the bag thirty bucks they always do that for free you just bring on a carry-on and then they always tell you like guys we ran out of space on the airplane so we'll check your bags for free and then you just do it then so it is now thursday so i'm gonna go through all the receipts and figure out the total amount that i spent i'm going to guess it's got to be like 500 and something box that's what it i'm going to guess 550. 418.15 okay it's still bad it's just not as bad as what i expected but yeah 418 bucks i would say of that 418 maybe 120 of that was like legitimate spending on like food and stuff like that that she needed to survive and then the other 300 is just gone just for no reason at all i'm curious what would happen when she like actually starts spending money in like her own apartment health insurance phone bills all this other stuff it's it's gonna start adding up significantly and none of this money was out everything for like a month just try for one month don't spend any money that you don't absolutely have to put all of that money in a roth ira invest it somewhere and then after a month you know what i have a feeling she'll be like wow i could survive on so much less money i don't need to spend all of this and then you're cured and you don't have to worry about that no more but that's my
