Microtech Cypher OTF (clone) China High End EDC

not so much video review but I would say more like a video overview of the Vesper version is a Chinese clone of the Microtech cipher a quick look at the knife so the the millwork on it is pretty fantastic or sorry the CNC is real nice you've got this sort of anodized green firing button matched up with your pocket clip an accented with this this gold if you call it a glass breaker so much is just sort of an accent piece really I've seen the real ciphers and this thing is it's pretty spot-on if you're wondering it's it runs 150 retail I'll get into that in a second just so you guys know I don't take any sample products everything that you're seeing here is is bought by me so I am a consumer of this stuff as well just hard to swallow the 500-hour micro tech so anyway getting on to it let's weigh it first see what we get so four point one three ounces that is spot-on with with the real cipher give or take you know maybe point seven ounces or so you got to forget my camera a little bit it's kind of floating around a little bit let's go back out get rid of this now one nice thing that you will notice is that all of these these Vespa knifes that come from China high-end EDC it's the name of the seller on DHgate comm only place I've seen of that you can you could actually buy these things and China high-end is actually the maker of Vespa so if you're looking for this stuff and it could be really confusing because tons of people are selling Vespa knifes some people have been self baked that's been nice believe it or not if you're going and looking and you want to see hey I want to buy what he's saying is go to DHgate comm and find the seller China high-end EDC and that that is the maker of these specific knifes and they're probably the best clone style Microtech shall find out there anyway getting back onto it all of them come with replacement Springs for your firing button for your locks on both sides so it's got a bottom locking top lock to keep the action or the blade fixed in in either position once you deploy it and retract it so you got blades or you got mm-hmm Springs for for replacements for all of that stuff which at least with my micro Tech's I didn't get anything not even a tool which is handy if you want to actually take your knife apart so that all comes with the kit along with a nice little carrying case you see I don't use these but it's a nice touch anyway now on to the actual knife itself kind of got a little visual you know the C and C and all that stuff it looks good but main thing is does it work very well and I'll show you here it's really really fast nice lock up fires quick see the blade is razor sharp right out of the box it's beautiful beautiful blade all-around m390 that's authentic m390 by the way it's not fake Buller steel so you can see it for the back there just a really nice looking knife and I've bought several these best but nice and these things are you know as as good as the as the real thing with the little flare of their own so I wouldn't call them a straight clone but they they are definitely inspired by if not heavily inspired by the micro Tech's so again let's go back in you see my camera might not be even quick enough to catch that but it's a really solid lockup if you see here you expect some movement on these OTS it's just part of what you get with them once they're up top this guy has zero play going forward and in the cutting motion it's got almost no play at all there's a tiny bit of give but even some of your high end like Harkins and stuff have a lot of wiggle up here which can be a little bit off-putting when you're trying to cut something even though it doesn't affect the nice performance if you see this one has almost nothing this way back and forth torsion wise again not a whole lot of movement so you can you can use it confidently now I chose the single edge they do offer a double and a tanto I prefer the single just because you know if you want to actually use this outdoors cutting stuff like that it's not simply a stabbing tool you see you can actually get your finger on there and manipulate the blade that way better than if you had a double edge and you would just be stuck with the handle and trying to work one side or the other so it makes more sense to me to have a single edge at least sometimes depending on on the carry so let's go one last look at the that nice nice finish on the play you can see the the millwork or the the CNC the machining on the blade itself is even fantastic pull up a picture of the the micro tech if you want to really compare it and yeah I mean it's this is one of the things you've almost got a/c to believe because it's just such a nice knife and back in one more and that is the China high-end EDC one more time that DHgate calm it can take a little looking but make sure that China high-end is the seller on DHgate comm is only place I've seen these for retail sale they run one hundred and fifty bucks apiece not bad given that again the real ciphers five hundred plus tax and you can't get a double edge that I've seen or a Tonto it's just the single edge side unless you're going into like a marquee on custom or something which gets in the thousands but that is the knife guys I try to keep these things simple I know it's not the shortest video ever but hopefully not the longest and again these are
