Microsoft Access Simple Book Library Database 1/4

hello everyone in this tutorial you're going to learn how to create a simple database and in order to do this we are going to need a computer with Microsoft Office but you need the Windows version because there's not a version for Mac so if you don't have Windows computer you can install parallels and then install Microsoft Office for Windows so once you do that you can open your and Microsoft Access which is the database management system that we're going to use for this tutorial so you need to open a new database a blank database and we're gonna call this database library and we're gonna create our first table our first entity and I'm gonna do it on the design view i'm gonna call this table books and they've named the first field will be book ID and this is going to be an auto number and if you see or hear it has a little key it means that this is the primary key of my table I'm gonna call over here in a second feel outer ID and this is going to be number fill then I'm going to add one more feel that is going to be the name of the book and I called Brooklyn I'm gonna short text book price and this is gonna be a currency let's see the Edition when I call it book edition and it's gonna be a number and then ISBN the book which is going to be a number that's all the information that I'm going to hold on my first table if I see this table on the datasheet view and save this you have these fields book ID outer ID book name book price book edition ISBN and I can start adding information on my first entity okay this is the first thing that you need to do when you create a database you have to build all your entities in a separate table so in the following videos you're gonna see how to create relationships and how to create queries forms and reports so I'm just gonna give you the instructions on the comments to create the other table that you are going to need in order to complete your assignment [Music] you
