Mega River Bottle Collecting

today is going to be an excellent adventure I can almost guarantee it I was on this River about a week ago doing a little metal detecting and uh came along the bank here and I saw a lot of broken dishes and pottery and stuff like that and noticed that there's bottles everywhere in the water so we're just going to take our kayak and go back and forth in the water here and pick up all the bottles that we can see hopefully we'll have enough room if you look down here you can see how it's real lots of glare and stuff for the polarized lens I'm going to put it over the camera okay it looks a lot different okay so looking through polarized lens uh for example I think you can probably see this all right it's all tied up let's go ahead and start moving along and hopefully no one's been here and scarfed them all up and we'll start with this bad boy right there all right there's our first one and it's got a pretty bad chip in it and it's a Coleman bottle I'll put it here and we may carry it out if we don't have a boat load but I probably won't keep that one that's probably a piece of China we had a lot of this in here it's really the first thing I saw when I came in don't worry the bottles will get a lot thicker as as we move up there I just wanted to start down here a lot of broken bottles tons of I'm not going to pick up the broken glass because there's so much of it in here you'll see it as we move along and get closer to the source let's get another load man that's nice and clear isn't it a lot clearer than it was the other day I'll take it for now here I'll also be looking for cannonballs guns Harrison bottles here foreign so even though I may pick them up set him down again I'm going to pick up all the bottles that I that I see that I mostly whole or whole and we'll take them and look at them up close even things like this which I think is just a ketchup bottle I don't know people collect those kind of things or not but I'll have to clean these we have so far nothing great really um a lot of broken bottles in here and not that many really good cork top bottles but we just got started this is the latest batch that I just picked up and uh you know I've got some type of soda probably this is the rest of them right here that I've gotten so far today all right let's get back under foreign foreign foreign [Music] [Music] okay [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign about another 50 yards of this you see this is a pretty dumpy area I suspect um a lot of what we're getting or actually bottled up rejects unfortunately if you notice mostly they're just clear unembossed or chipped not getting anything as like a really cool one that's not broken so these might have been just ones that were dug out of this bank and I've washed down there's probably some good ones mixed in and we may have some I don't know I haven't looked at them that close but a lot of them in there or anything I'm getting to the point where I'm not picking up everything anymore there's just too many of them picking up the ones that aren't like totally wasted thank you foreign foreign s did that but foreign got a whole note waddle and it's embossed I have a bunch of broke ones piled up too so I don't know I think people would have taken that if they'd seen it look there's a nice cork top bottle there another bottle there food bottle there Corky there uh another bottle or two up there that's nice of Larry right here this might be worth getting out the mask face mask is one right there a small one foreign here there might be one I don't know I should have my gloves on I'm gonna be digging around tonight oh that's a broken milk bottle some type of rear but here I'm gonna throw it in the boat before it disappears oh no I let go of it right now oh foreign [Music] foreign guys here's the deal I have as many bottles as I can really carry and there's so many more up here um I'm gonna have to quit looking now I can tell you for sure someone's gone through here and picked out the best ones uh because there are some pretty decent looking um soda bottles but they're all broken see what I have here and I'm going to open this up and we're going to go through it we'll open it up I'm going to set them all out we'll go through and see what we have but if you look I mean there's just so many bottles in here look what I'm all down here I just can't uh I'll pick through a few more these look a lot more modern too not quite as many cork tops although there are some in here but um I'll pick through some of these and see if there's any good beer bottles or anything in there but I don't really have High Hopes right here well I'm gonna call it a day and give you a quick overview what we found I'm not going to be able to take everything away today that's our haul quite impressive isn't it unfortunately it's not quite as old as I wanted them to be although we do have some beer bottles in there that are collectible there's some sort of artists lots of cork top bottles but uh the good ones that were embossed and colored all has all have chips or cracks in them so I think these have all been kind of picked through before by other people but we did get probably I don't know 15 or 20 that I'm definitely going to keep my collection and I'll carry out as many as I can to throw away these are just some a few other things that I found out there a little piece of a doll these are cores to batteries carbon pores I'm gonna use those for electrolysis eyeball the spoon of course a knife and uh I think I got that on camera too DVD player so that's it should we come back to here or just skip it for the rest of our lives let me know hope you enjoyed the little Adventure got some underwater
