great actually i had a question from venerable dralma sure go ahead arien uh we will be uh speaking names for our family also like you did in the last time yes uh so i was thinking that if i'm not able to speak for you know my list could be longer like five names so can i type that in the chat box yes and then remind me to read it okay thank you thank you but i also have a special dedication for ninja chamo okay thank you yeah her she's still in the middle of her 49 days isn't she well she's in a pure room [Laughter] already no always good always good to to dedicate at least for our sake yes definitely thank you so maybe we get started and then if people are coming in they'll show up afterwards and that's no problem um sometimes it takes a little while for people to get connected and stuff uh but let's um start with a little bit of calm abiding meditation just a few minutes and then we'll set up positive motivation so getting comfortable and relaxing your shoulders bringing the mind to the breath to calm it so we can think about how um how fortunate we are to have a buddha to be born in a time when a buddha has come into the world and when a buddha has taught we can be grateful for that simple thing and that the buddha taught tantra so introduced us to this these deity practices which is not always the case with every buddha so we're very very fortunate and so we want to make we want to repay the kindness we ourselves are simply a gathering of kindnesses and so it's natural to want to as we engage in these practices doing it for our own benefit but also for the benefit of others and when we do deity practices it's not like these medicine buddhas can take away our karma but they can be powerful powerful conditions for us to purify for us to become the conditions for others virtuous karma to ripen so that they quickly get everything that they need are relieved from their suffering reach higher rebirths gain realizations healed from sickness success in their projects so all of these are intentions and become powerful powerful conditions for those seeds to ripen in those people and beings and just like the teachings on bodhichitta tell us the more that we are focusing on others bringing benefit to others the more we benefit as well so we can make that a clear intention that we're going to be like the bodhisattvas intending to share all our virtue all this accumulation of merit we're creating on this special day so i'm going to share the text on the screen so you don't have to worry about it uh i can share it in the chat too so that you can download it and have it on your own computer if you don't want to do the screen sharing let me find it there it is so you're welcome to open it on your computer or you can just um watch it on when i share the screen either way okay so this practice is called the wish fulfilling jewel uh the concise essence suture ritual of bhagawan medicine buddha and um one thing i want to mention too about the medicine buddhas is when buddhas before buddhas become enlightened they make a lot of prayers to benefit sentient beings in so many ways and then when they become enlightened it's their prayers become fulfilled and one of the aspects of the medicine buddha's prayers that they made is they really wanted to be powerful in degenerate times so the more that times become the more it becomes difficult for us to practice spirituality the more um the more degenerate that is and the more powerful the medicine buddhas become so this is a really important practice and um so you can have develop some faith and devotion in what we're doing that it's actually having an effect in our lives and the lives of others okay namo guru muni and drya the river of merely hearing your names makes even avicii's hellfire is cool as a lotus pond protectors in degenerate times seven sugatas and head of the shakyas to your feet i bow distracted by activities of varying importance to benefit myself and those with faith in the life stories of these seven buddhas for degenerate times i'll condense the ambrosia sutra ritual to its molten essence so because of the infallibility of arya buddha's proclamation that the power and blessings of the medicine buddhas are greater and swifter in degenerate times we accept it having already made preparations as described in the sutra ritual one who wishes to perform this quintessential ritual for invoking the heart commitment of the protectors the seven sugatas those of the madison buddhas during degenerate times should recite as follow infusing the mind with refuge and bodhichitta so please feel free to recite in your own room along with me because when you engage your speech not just uh reading um your create more merit because you're you're not only engaging your mind by reading but you're also engaging your speech nature we're going to say this one and it's a little bit long three times nature incorporating the entire body speech mind qualities and activity of all the tata gotchas of the three times in ten directions source of eighty four thousand collections of dharmas lord of all arya sangha i seek refuge in the kind and glorious holy root and lineage gurus i seek refuge in the completely enlightened lord buddhist i seek refuge in the holy dharma i seek refuge in the arya sangha i seek refuge in the eight brothers gone to bliss the lord medicine buddhas with their hosts of rett new deities i seek refuge in the glorious holy protectors dharma protector guardians endowed with the wisdom eye nature incorporating the entire body speech mind qualities and activity of all the tattoo goddesses three times in ten directions source of eighty-four thousand collections of dharmas lord of all arya sangha i seek refuge in the kind and glorious holy root and lineage gurus i seek refuge and then completely enlighten lord buddhist i seek refuge in the holy dharma i seek refuge in the arya sangha i seek refuge in the eight brothers gone to bliss the lord medicine buddhists with their hosts of retinue deities i seek refuge in the glorious holy protectors dharma protector guardians endowed with the wisdom eye one more time nature incorporating the entire body speech mind qualities and activity of all the tattoo artists of the three times in ten directions source of eighty-four thousand collections of dharmas lord of all arya sangha i seek refuge in the kind and glorious holy root and lineage gurus i seek refuge in the completely enlightened lord buddhist i seek refuge in the holy dharma isaac refuge in the arya sangha i seek refuge in the eight brothers gone to bliss the lord medicine buddhists with their hosts of retinue deities i seek refuge in the glorious holy protectors dharma protector guardians endowed with the wisdom eye and this uh refuge and bodhichitta prayer will say uh twice in tibetan and then the last time we'll say it in english sange [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] and then we recite and then meditate pause on the four measurables and we'll say this one three times all sentient beings who though self and all appearances are dharma dhatu by nature have not realized it thus i shall endow with happiness and the causes of happiness i shall separate from suffering and the causes of suffering i shall make inseparable from happiness without suffering and i shall set an equanimity the cause of well-being free from attachment aversion and partiality all sentient beings who although self and all appearances are dharma adopt you by nature have not realized it thus i shall endow with happiness and the causes of happiness i shall separate from suffering and the causes of suffering i shall make inseparable from happiness without suffering and i shall set in equanimity the cause of well-being free from attachment aversion and partiality all sentient beings who although self and all appearances are dharma got you by nature have not realized it thus i shall endow with happiness and the causes of happiness i shall separate from suffering and the causes of suffering i shall make inseparable from happiness without suffering and i shall set in equanimity the cause of well-being free from attachment aversion and partiality so we contemplate this for a few moments and then special bodhichitta for the welfare of all mother sentient beings i need to attain complete buddhahood therefore i am going to engage in the stages of the paths such as prostrating making offerings and heartfelt requests and treating the holy minds to grant blessings to the eight brothers gone to bliss the lord medicine buddhists with their hosts of retinue deities you can sit at one of these just fine then then just leave it closed okay sorry purifying the place so we're going to purify this beautiful place and then request the medicine buddhas to come into each one of our living room and you can also if you want help with the is behind and this is the mandala house and that'll help you also visualize this is the medicine buddha scripture up here and then these are all the offerings so when we do offerings you can visualize all these offerings multiplying becoming huge clouds okay so they're all here with us uh let's see page about a hundred and one so go to 101 and then maybe a few more pages on there okay we're on purifying the place so a couple more pages probably purifying the place through the power of the supreme truth of the buddhism bodhisattvas blessings the might of the two collections and the purity of the dharma dhatu may this realms beings and environment be enriched like sukhavati with all the desirable perfections of both samsara and nirvana jeweled ground adorned with trees and with ponds whose bottoms are covered with gold silver and pearl dust flowers strewn and sandalwood fragrance rising human and divine enjoyments samata bhadra's offerings everywhere there in the center of our charming jeweled palace on lotuses and line thrones buddhas and bodhisattvas abide may everywhere be filled with oceans of clouds of offerings which they enjoy born through the force of mantra samadhi and aspiration so while we're doing this um offering cloud mantra this mantra multiplies the offerings so they become numberless and you can visualize huge amounts oceans and clouds filled with flowers and butter lamps and incense and food and devices and cars and everything you find wonderful and beautiful and then you offer it right you give it away practicing generosity [Music] [Music] [Music] and then we do the optional extension version extensive version by the power of the truth of the three rare sublime ones the blessings of all the buddhas and bodhisattvas the great wealth of the completed two collections and the sphere of phenomena being pure and inconceivable made these piles of clouds of offerings arising through transformation by the bodhisattvas arya samatta bhadra manjushri and so forth unimaginable and inexhaustible equaling the sky arise and in the eyes of the buddhism bodhisattvas of the ten directions be received so now we invoke so we imagine that the actual medicine buddhas are coming here and coming into your place so you invoke them yep now that you've made it beautiful they can come compassionate protectors and degenerate times seven sugatas buddha shakyamuni holy dharma bodhisattvas and guardians invited as the support and protector refuge to protect others and myself may you come here gather and grant your blessings and then we do the seven limb prayer root guru whose kindness is without equal king of the shakyas manjushri shantarakshita and so on holding in their hands this profound sutra to the direct and lineage gurus i prostrate to the compassionate ones who liberate destitute beings seven sugatos buddha shakyamuni and holy dharma [Music] and the maharajas and yaksas i prostrate i make every collection of offerings actually arranged and emanated through the force of mantra of samadhi and aspiration i confess all downfalls and negativities rejoice and virtues request and besiege and dedicate such virtues as these to the great enlightenment so we pause each time we say this first we pause after it to meditate on rejoicing so we can start off by rejoicing in all these buddhists who ever showed up you know whoever reached enlightenment so many enlightened beings worked so hard to reach that and we can just feel joy in our hearts that they accumulated so much wisdom and so much merit and then beseeching great bhagawan assembly pray listen seven sugatas just as you promised your previous prayers will be fulfilled during the final period of shakyamuni teachings pray show me in actuality it is true and then we start the prayers to the individual medicine buddhas and we do this in english to the bhagavad gita our head fully enlightened buddha renowned glorious king of excellent signs i prostrate prostrate in flowers of the major marks flourishing and pure anthers of minor signs such a beautiful body one who sees hears or thinks of you as glorified to renowned glorious king of excellent signs i prostrate i make every collection of offerings actually arranged and emanated through the force of mantra samadhi and aspiration i confess all downfalls and negativities rejoice and virtues request and beseech and dedicate to churches as these to the great enlightenment so here we can rejoice in all the bodhisattvas so there's so many bodhisattvas around who are benefiting all of us sentient beings and they wouldn't announce it so you don't necessarily know it but they're doing great things and we know you hear things like um of people you know working for peace and being so courageous and uh you know i think they're bodhisattvas but we don't necessarily know it so just all the virtuous activities in the world by these amazing beings we can just feel joy through the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering may all sentient beings such as ourselves be freed from epidemics execution criminals and spirits have faculties fully complete have the continuum of suffering and negativities cut not fall to lower realms and experience the happiness of humans and gods with hunger thirst and poverty pacified may there be wealth without torments of bodies such as bindings and beatings without harm of tigers lions and snakes with conflict pacified endowed with loving minds and relief from fear of flood as well may we pass to fearless bliss and when we pass away from this life may we be born from a lotus in that buddha field qualities complete become a vessel for transmitting the teachings of conquerors such as renowned glorious king of excellent signs and cause them delight to the bhagavan to target our hot fully enlightened buddha king of melodious sound brilliant radiance of skill adorned with jewels moon and lotus i the feet of king of melodious sound i make every collection of offerings actually arranged and emanated through the force of mantra samadhi and aspiration i confess all downfalls and negativities rejoice in virtues request and beseech and dedicate such virtues as these to the great enlightenment so now we can um rejoice in all those world leaders who are trying to create peace freedom religious freedom trying to support their people trying to get over this pandemic trying to be generous with all the vaccines trying to stop the sickness all over the world there's so many people working for peace and health and a better life in the world so we can rejoice in all their actions through the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering for all sentient beings such as ourselves may the distracted flourish in the dharma have wealth and goods of humans and gods without torment at conception be always born human never be separated from bodhichitta increase in virtuous dharma purify obscurations and attain the happiness of humans and gods may we be freed from being separated from the spiritual guide from dark ages spirit harm death and enemies and from the dangers of isolated places may we have enthusiasm for making offerings and performing ritual services may lesser beings have samadhi mindfulness strength the durrani of non-forgetfulness and attain supreme wisdom may tormenting fires be cooled and when we pass away from this life may we be born from a lotus and that buddha field qualities complete become a vessel for transmitting the teachings of conquerors such as king of melodious sound and caused them delight to the bhagavan tagada arhat fully enlightened buddha stainless excellent gold great jewel who we can rejoice here thinking about all the um spiritual practitioners and any religion those who are devout in terms of their own um practice to develop loving kindness compassion to promote and practice all the values of loving kindness compassion generosity gratitude all those wisdom strength courage all those positive qualities that they're developing in any religion amazing through the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering for all sentient beings such as ourselves may the short lived gain longevity the poor full wealth may combatants come to have loving minds may we not be without training and fall to the lower realms but be bound by our vows and never without bodhichitta and when we pass away from this life may we be born from a lotus in that buddha field qualities complete become a vessel for transmitting the teachings of conquerors such as stainless excellent gold and caused them delight to the bhagavan to create the medicines for us who build the hospitals who are the trained to be doctors and nurses and paramedics and you know healthy first aid i mean so so important so important and we rejoice in all their service and their hard work through the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering for all sentient beings such as ourselves may sorrow and the like always be pacified and life be long and happy may the conquerors light increase bliss and joy in the hells may we have brightness beauty and wealth unharmed by spirits may we have love for each other and may there be no disease and when we pass away from this life may we be born in a lotus in that buddha field quality is complete become a vessel for transmitting the teachings of conquerors such as all the teachers in the world the kind beings who teach all the children to read and write and science and all the other teachers the trainers and workplaces and so forth so amazing giving their knowledge sharing their wisdom and their experience so precious yes through the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering for all sentient beings such as ourselves may we always have perfect view and faith hear the sound of dharma and be enriched with bodhichitta for the sake of resources may we give up negativities may wealth increase may we abide in love have long lives and be content and when we pass away from this life may we be born from a lotus in that buddha field qualities complete become a vessel for transmitting the teachings of conquerors such as melodious ocean or proclaimed dharma and cause them delight to the bhagavan to together arhad fully enlightened buddha delightful king of clear knowing supreme wisdom of an ocean of source of mantras i confess all downfalls and negativities rejoice and virtues request and besiege and dedicate such virtues as these to the great enlightenment so here we can rejoice in all the monastics today is actually international sangha day so all of um all of the beings who have dedicated their life um to preserving the dharma st you know spending their their days and nights practicing when they're good right with the intention [Music] children um yeah so we yeah we can rejoice too and all the monks and nuns of other religions um as well who dedicate their lives to their spirituality um okay so let's rejoice in that through the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering for all sentient beings such as ourselves may the distracted be free of malice and rich in goods may those unevil paths to lower realms attain the ten virtues may those controlled by others gain perfect independence and all have long life hear the names and be virtuous and when we pass away from this life may we be born from a lotus and not go to field qualities complete become a vessel for transmitting the teachings of conquerors such as king of clear knowing and cause them delight to the bhagavan tatagata arhat fully enlightened buddha medicine guru king of lapis light i prostrate offer and go for refuge to the bhagawan to together arhat negativities rejoice in virtues request and besiege and dedicate such virtues as these to the great enlightenment so here we can rejoice in each one of us um individuals and all the the virtue and the positive acts that we have ever done in our lives how amazing to the force of hearing the conqueror's name expressing it remembering prostrating and offering may each and every sentient being such as enter mahayana paths and all be beautified by their vows may we be free from pain caused by immorality be complete in faculties and without disease and have abundant goods may those disillusioned with the weakest conditions always have powerful faculties and may we be freed from mars news and perverse viewpoints may those tormented by kings gain bliss and those who out of hunger support themselves through negativity be satisfied with food received in accordance with the dharma may hardships of heat and coal be passified and all good wishes be fulfilled endowed with morality that pleases the destroys the dark seed of suffering's cause and uproots the pain of suffering completely i make every collection of offerings actually arranged and emanated to the force of mantra samadhi and aspiration i confess all downfalls and negativities rejoice in virtues request and besiege and dedicate such virtues as these to the great enlightenment through the blessings of the truth of the holy dharma jewel may i and all others henceforth in all our lives practice the buddha's teachings in their entirety exactly as the buddhists intended and now we request the benefits of the practice the conqueror's heart commitments were invoked by 36 000 sons of sugatas including manjushri captural and vajrapani thus requested they proclaim the sutras benefits pray manifest all of them for me here and now and to the worldly protector yaksa leaders as well as you promised to do before previous teachers to stop enemies harmers and epidemics pacify all conflict and increase physical and mental bliss increase wealth power property crops and lifespan accomplish these desired goals as we wish and always protect us without break okay so the way we're going to do this mantra recitation is we'll say the long one so the top one will say seven times and the bottom one will say silently for a mala this is amal 108 times um and while we're saying the mantra you also do the visualization so you visualize that medicine buddha the easy one the blue one is above your head he's holding the plant that is the cure for all sicknesses and also is the ultimate healer and you receive he's either on the top of your head facing the same way as you or he's in front of you either one and you visualize that you receive this blue light and it purifies you and it heals you and you get this three times and then from your heart where you have this moon disc with the mantra at your heart that you're reciting light beams go out blue light beams go out and they go out to all sentient beings so everyone you can think of it can be groups of beings that need um support need help need healing it can be specific beings in your life that you want to benefit um just giving you know practicing generosity and giving um yep as if you were a buddha okay so say this worst one seven times [Music] [Music] they [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] says foreign first uh [Music] guru whose kindness is without equal king of the shakyas holding in their hands this profound sutra to the direct and lineage gurus i prostrate to the compassionate ones who liberate destitute beings and the maharajahs i prostrate i make every collection of offerings actually arranged and emanated through the force of mantras and aspirations i confess all downfalls and negativities rejoice in virtues request in besiege and dedicate such virtues as these to the great enlightenment now the request for forgiveness whatever i have done or caused to be done that was unprepared or degenerated or done with my deluded mind please be patient with all of these whatever the beings of this degenerate age have done of lesser merit mixed with ignorant delusions that do not fulfill the arya's wishes please be patient with these as well under the influence of miserliness lacking in skill having made bad offerings or faulty arrangements or protector endowed with great compassion please be patient with these as well whatever was superfluous or left undone degeneration and parts of the ritual or whatever was forgotten please be patient with these as well and then the request to remain by remaining here together with this image for the sake of all migrators may you grant us long life without illness power and supreme attainment om super teacher vajraya and then the auspicious verses the hosts of medicine buddha deities pervading all directions of the round of space with perfection some raining down multi-colored lotuses some singing songs requesting goodness some acting to conquer mars and obstructors and all bestowing on you supreme good fortune know this full well and be very joyful and i shall voice sweet melody expressing auspiciousness supreme teacher of humans and gods touching my crown to your feet of jewels moonlight hence the glory of good fortune of commuter flowers blasphemy to menendra moon of expounders i prostrate manjushri great abbot shantarakshita trisam detsun atisha father and sons second conqueror los angeles and so on through the auspiciousness of all collected good qualities of the supreme root and lineage gurus may all negativity and degeneration be ended and bliss and goodness increasing like the waxing moon may be auspicious to enjoy the glory of perfection accomplishing the supreme ocean of prayers invoking truth during the teachings decline for protectorless beings who were untamed by other sunlight conquerors through the auspiciousness of all collective good qualities of those seven sugatos protectors during degenerate times may all negativity and degeneration be ended and bliss and goodness increasing waxing moon may it be auspicious to enjoy the glory of perfection arising well from the broad lotus like tongue of the lord of the able ones especially exalted even in the latter days of the shakia's teachings such that it performed when gains the essence of immortality's ambrosia through the auspiciousness of all collected good qualities of that king of the vast and profound suture pataka may all negativity and degeneration be ended and bliss and goodness increasing like the waxing moon may it be auspicious to enjoy the glory of perfection through the auspiciousness of all collected good qualities of those children of the lineage performing the sutra ritual by simply reciting the names of the kings of doctors of all realms ten directions and through the especially extensive prayers of the teacher buddha and the sugatas may all negativity and degeneration be ended and bliss and goodness increasing like the waxing moon may i be officious to enjoy the glory of perfection accomplished through the compassion mantra of the sugatas through faith samadhi and words of truth construction of jewels abode of the three jewels beyond the three realms through the auspiciousness of all collect to good qualities of that supreme buddha field equal to super body may all negativity and degeneration be ended and bliss and goodness increasing like the waxing moon may it be auspicious to enjoy the glory of perfection so we pause here and um you can unmute yourself if you'd like let me make sure you can do that um to say and my dad who are suffering from old age and also um our precious ningxia chenmo who passed away in the last 49 days she was one of our two cheetah dogs so anyone else you want to include okay debbie did you want to include someone yeah my cat choti that passed away recently and um can we dedicate also for people who are suffering too yeah yeah yeah anyone who needs a medicine buddha's intervention okay my friend is really suffering from depression badly at the moment serious mental health problems so thank you so i want to go for my family who is suffering from many problems that i cannot say over here then i want to also include my friend milam shaha and her family she is battling with depression i want to also include my friend gaurav kumar dash who is still figuring out what to be uh in this world and then at last i want to include tenzin donggak taksak who is also suffering from some problems so these three i want to include in the in the medicine buddha prayer thank you has not arisen arise and grow and may that which has arisen not diminished but increase more and more just as the brave manjushri and samatavaja realize things as they are i too dedicate all these merits in the best way that i may follow their perfect example i dedicate all these roots of virtue with the dedication praised as the best by the victorious ones thus gone of the three times so i might perform good works due to the merits accumulated over the three times by myself and all the buddhas and bodhisattvas which are empty from their own side may the eye who is empty from its own side achieve the state of enlightenment which is empty from its own side and lead all sentient beings who are empty from their own side that stayed as quickly as possible by myself alone because of all the merits of the three times created by me and all the buddhas bodhisattvas and other sentient beings may there be no wars famines disease quarreling fighting or unhappy minds may there be great prosperity and may everything needed be easily obtained may all the human beings in the world be guided by spiritual leaders teaching only dharma and may everyone enjoy the happiness of dharma so we have uh let's see if i can find it i actually i don't think i have it handy no i don't have the new one so um there we're gonna say the old one again because i didn't get it up sorry i'll do not get
