Great version, but I was really missing the slide guitar.
Rest In Peace ‘David Roback’, Sandoval’s writing partner and Mazzy Star/Opal founding member, guitarist, he passed early last year, their last album is likely to be the great comeback LP from 2013. Sandoval’s other band since the year 2000 ‘The Warm Inventions’ is with co-writer Colm Ó Cíosóig, drummer of My Bloody Valentine.
Epic track and definitely one of those that can influence my mood within seconds
It sounds so empty without the slide guitar. It's such an emotive part of the song.
Couldn’t put my finger on why this song sounded so familiar, then I watched Starship Troopers for the first time in a long while. It plays when they have the brawl on the ship. Most random background song for a fight.
Teenager me felt very funny things when I first heard her voice when this came out. I still have a horrible crush on Hope Sandoval to this day.
Mazzy's greatest album is She Hangs Brightly. I recommend it to everyone even though it doesn't have this song.
