Thanks for this. I never tire of hearing his voice. Sad times.
Went to his solo concert about a year before his death. It was in a small (1400 seat), approximately 100 year old, beautiful, ornate, theater. Sat dead center, row 10.
It was the best vocal performance I've ever seen, and I'm sure I ever will.
RIP Mr Cornell.
Chris Cornell singing a Prince song made famous by Sinead O'Connor and as cliched as it may sound, it's like I can hear the heartbreak in his voice. Can't listen to it very often because it brings to many feelings to the surface.

This has been at the top of my YouTube Playlist for quite some time.
You should also check out his acoustic cover of Billie Jean
Rest in Peace. My dad and I love him
No thank you, donโt need the tears today.
I still listen to this all the time as well as the live cover of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. The day he died was the first time since probably Robin Williams where it affected me so much. Soundgarden and Audioslave were my soundtracks throughout highschool and it was just so unexpected. I guess mental illness never really goes away but im glad he left us with such beautiful music.
Such a powerful version, thanks for posting this. Such a loss and a great reminder of his talent. RIP
