[Music] booking a hotel room oh look at this one show me the pictures here see that's the double room do they have a single room yup with a king bed there's a garden view or a seafront view wow that does look like a nice hotel oh cool it has a hot tub and a pool and look it's near the city center so we'll be close to all the major sites that's great and the staff speaks english how are the reviews remember the other one that looked perfect but the reviews were really bad rude staff no wi-fi yeah of course i remember but look the reviews are good too so it's perfect what's the catch well it's a little over budget by how much just an extra 50 dollars that's it a night what we're staying 10 days that's a lot over budget come on it's worth it please we can make it work ugh all right fine book it yay what do you need we just need a credit card to make the booking now and look it's refundable up to 48 hours before so if we find a cheaper place we can cancel it and get our money back well that makes me feel better okay where's my wallet no no use my card here you go you're the best checking in at the airport hello hi we're checking in any checked luggage yes just this one okay place your suitcase on the conveyor belt to be weighed may i see your passports please yes sure ryan where's your passport um let's see yeah oh no don't tell me you forgot your passport you must provide a passport for all international flights no no i know i packed it it's got to be here somewhere let me think it was on the counter oh but then i picked it up and i was going to put it in my backpack but then i remember the zipper was broken ryan wait then i remember my mom bought me a passport holder for my birthday last year and i put it in there then i put it in my suitcase it's in the big suitcase [Music] yes here it is we're saved phew okay you are all checked in here is your luggage tag and boarding passes your flight is leaving on time from gate b16 just follow the signs to security whoa that was a close one asking for directions inside a building excuse me is there a restroom nearby yes there is go straight on past the cafe when you get to the end turn right the restroom is on the left just after the elevators [Music] so that's past the cafe then turn right and it's on the left exactly thank you do you know where the atm machine is well you should go across the terminal past the security and the airline offices and then turn right it's on the left between the currency exchange office and the car rental office so it's at the other end of the building between the car hire office and currency exchange office that's right checking in at the hotel good morning checking in yes thank you it's under turner hmm i don't see it do you have a confirmation number i have it here you go oh yes it looks like you were scheduled to check in yesterday that's right but our first flight was delayed we missed our connecting flight and couldn't get another one until this morning i understand let me see what i can do thank you so it looks like the system canceled your reservation when you missed your check-in oh no and when that happened your room became available for others to book now it is no longer available [Music] please is there anything you can do actually yes there is a seaside room that is available i can book you in for that room for no extra charge oh thank you so much also that room comes with the all-inclusive deluxe package what's that well your original booking was all-inclusive standard which provided you with a free buffet and family pool access [Music] that's right the deluxe also includes access to the resort restaurants a private beach and a deluxe members only pool really that's great where is the private beach and other pool here is a resort map the beach access is here and next to it is the members only pool what about the restaurants there are three restaurants the michelin star restaurant is located at the front of the resort make sure you make your reservation for that one in advance good to know there is also the local which serves a more traditional cuisine located here and then there's a lounge here which also serves food perfect here are your room kits and the resort map my associate here will show you two rooms you know i think missing our flight turned out to be a blessing in disguise [Music] just order your own food yeah maybe that's best booking a tour gonna help you is this where we book a tour yes it is where were you thinking of going we're not exactly sure someone on the plane recommended some ruins but that's about all we know of ah yes there are some ancient ruins in the national park that's about two hours away however so we offer that tour as a day excursion and what does that include the guided tour which is in english will pick you up in front of the hotel and take you to the national park not only does the tour include the price of admissions but it also includes lunch and some free time for shopping maybe we'll do that one later in the week yeah it's already noon is there any tour we can do today of course there is a half day tour to tower hill that includes a carriage ride to the top and entrance to the gardens it's offered twice a day at sunrise and sunset you could still sign up for the sunset tour today that sounds nice the views are stunning you won't regret it can't we just hike to the top ourselves you can but it takes about two to three hours each way i see well are there any free tours we can do sure there is a free city walking tour that starts in front of the information center and ends near the pier oh yeah i remember now that's one of the places i want to see as well the pier is great you can get some ice cream take a boat ride on the canal or get a caricature made great when does that start they go every hour on the hour that means there's one in 10 minutes come on let's go thank you for your help you're welcome we're exceptionally vibrant and colorful yes it's gorgeous i absolutely love it okay we have to get that too then deal look at this mini statue oh my i love that let's get that too it would fit perfectly in the living room don't you think okay but babe aren't we supposed to be buying souvenirs to take home for our friends and family yeah we can still get some small things for them what's wrong with doing a little shopping for ourselves while we're at it well i'm thinking how it look if we just brought them all back a magnet or keychain and then they come over and see our place completely redecorated with souvenirs we bought for ourselves on our trip hmm true what if we get the meacham magnet and keychain deal [Music] at the restaurant hello and welcome to our restaurant hello thank you here's the menu can i start you off with anything to drink yes good idea what have you got margarita spritz pym's cup that is a cocktail with lemonade mint orange strawberries i'll have a pimp's cup yes i'll have a pims cup too sure i'll be right back with your drinks are you ready to order yes could you tell me what the soup of the day is certainly today we're serving french onion soup topped with croutons and cheese sounds good to me i'll have that what do you fancy ryan can you tell me what matzo ball soup is it's a homemade chicken soup with dumplings sounds delicious i'll have that thank you of course and for the main course what kind of sauce is on the chick pine it's a cream sauce cream sauce that means too much fat i'm afraid how about the chicken light can you tell me how it's prepared skinless chicken breasts are boiled and marinated in olive oil rosemary garlic and lemon that sounds perfect i'll have that with fries and a tomato salad of course madam and for you sir i'll have the lobster risotto oh hold on is there garlic in that yes it is fried with garlic butter and sage no garlic for me thanks i'll make a note for the chef [Music] checking out [Music] good morning are you ready to check out yes we are what room are you in we're checking out of room 312. how is everything the room was great the beds were really comfortable and we weren't expecting our own fridge i'm glad you liked it here is your bill for 10 nights you have been charged for 2 000 and the other cost is for laundry and room service you made during this time in total your bill is two thousand two hundred and fifty dollars could you tell me what this charge is here for forty five dollars let me check our records this amount here is for the drinks you had from the minibar in your room yes yes but we definitely didn't have any orange juice in the restaurant on the 25th i remember we ordered some fresh juice and then changed our minds i'll just check yes there seems to have been a mistake there i do apologize about that mr turner that's okay and what's this 53 dollars for that's the local government tax which we have to charge it's explaining the hotel information back in your
