Mathematics built a perfect roof frame.

good morning I've had to go to the builders this morning which is a little bit annoying but I run out of the seasoned Oak pegs and they're imperative to finish the frame 305 65° okay maths maths mathematics is going to make this thing all fit together knew that skull wasn't a waste [Applause] [Applause] yeah ready [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] [Applause] a that well I don't want to brag or anything but I mean you know so obviously the ridge pole has got to be connected up there which I don't know exactly how I'm going to get it up but the main thing is it all fits it all meets with where it should and we're all as amazed as you are at that so I've got one more cross bit to put in I just wanted to get that and make sure it fit and then let's mount it all together oh [Applause] so the idea is I think I'll assemble all this down here I'll Peg it and I'll try winch it up like that because it's going to be much easier than trying to assemble all this up in the air and the good thing is and the good thing is that once this is up it starts to stop all the movement on all the other bits of the frame and the more I add now the stronger this thing is going to get this is is not going to be easy I don't know how exactly it's going to work but it'll [Music] work for go frame is up so this was the A-frame that was already up I was joining this one to it so you can see now it's all pegged it's all jointed and look just you can't make that joint up absolutely me it's bang on everywhere I mean it's just maths just basic maths have done all this so now comes a point of starting to layer on the top and just like like the frame below where I built the frame and then started adding wood for the sides and bracing that's what's going to happen now there's a few interesting angles to deal with but we're going to start laying stuff on top of here get the shape and hopefully by next week when Calvin and Nick are here we're ready to put the boards and the final covering on so you can see that I mounted the ridge pole and mounted it extra long so that it protrudes this wall so it can be connected with a scarf joint to the next Ridge pole and that's just kind of held up in place temporarily with this until I rebuild this bit of wall so many people wouldn't take this project on because the place didn't have a roof you know it didn't have floors it didn't have a roof and now it's like it's got it you know it's just feels like an achievement yeah anyway it's a sunny day I'm going to get the plans ready for the next stage of the roof and it's one big rush for next week when Calvin and Nick are here because it has to get finished next week this place has got to be watertight by next week and I will see you tomorrow
