Master Lock key safe full decode - Realtor Box

hey guys today we're gonna be talking about the master lock key safe these come in two varieties one is with the shackle it's meant to be hung from a door handle or a door knob you'll commonly see these used by realtors so every realtor doesn't have to have a key to the place they can just keep the key outside and all the other code so they can get into a building get a variety you'll see is generally just a panel mount there's no shackle I also get to the solid surface functions mechanically the same let's go ahead and look at this lock a little bit front side got a cold cover that comes up her dials for us keeps everything clean in there the release mechanism that's how we pop it open we've got four dials four numbers inside we got a release handle that'll pop the shackle loose and we have a mechanism put it the reset position it can spin the wheel set a new combination when it's in the reset positional will safety pin will pop out makes it so we can't close the Shack or close the box and lock ourselves out two main messes in attack for these sort of locks first method I'm not really proficient at so you can see our code was currently 54:10 first method is you apply a large amount of pressure on the release and then you find the dial that's the hardest to turn and you keep doing that and it'll stick in a position problem I have with this method is that a it's hard on the fingers B it's hard to get this dial because you're so close to that let's see it's pretty inconsistent I prefer to use a mechanical method to decode these as far as other bypasses this lock has made pretty solid actually all metal here we got a nice thick plastic plate there there's no way for us to sneak him over it really is that even if we could ship the shackle ya wouldn't do us any good we still wouldn't have the Box open so let's go ahead and talk about how we decode this bad boy so with it that walks before we made a little tool a piece of monster can and I will say I have discovered that not all aluminium cans are made the same try to mill over like and the other day and it was just too thin whilst you can just about right we're gonna probe this lock right along the right edge of the dials and we're gonna hunt for a notch again that works great actually made myself a tool for this - popsicle sticks painted sanded 7,000 sailor gauge cut with pair of scissors so let's make it a little challenging for us just so we know everything's on the up-and-up I'm gonna go back to 34 can go ahead and open it right up spin around I can't see it you can't see it put it in the decode is earn a reset position and we're just gonna stay in those dials no idea what the dials are on at this point I put it there close it up awesome out looking all those dials good spin again now we have a lock lock we have no idea what the code is so let's try our tool in right in we're looking for knotch actually got a notch right there first try one thing with these locks it's a little easier to be one off so I don't know if you can see right there that is actually one high it's slightly above the line so eight isn't the number they're nice the number so we got to bring nine down noticed we're centered right on that number so we got that number already let's find our next number and all we do is spin it want I can sweep cross it feel for the knotch box right there looks like it's at three right now and set it up still hunting still hunting so hot there it is so nice the center it looks like six is gonna read it over there and that's a fine oh and it's right there we got lucky it's like four and there's our new code 4 6 3 9 all there is to these locks again commonly used real estate people selling houses use these not a very secure method of key storage and the panel mount the shackle mount our nama mount work exactly the same tan tan would not wreck it recommend this lock for your own personal use thank you for watching
