Master C++ setup in Visual Studio Code efficiently || How to set up C++ in Visual Studio Code

hello and welcome to my channel in this video I'll be showing you how to set up visual studio code for writing and executing C and C++ programs so let's get started first thing first we need to we need to install vs code so go to here I go to my browser and type vs code click enter so we go with the first link us just Studio code so here we on the official site for visual studio code and the domain name is code Visual Studio code visual studio.com I'll leave this link in the description so as you can see here my operating system has been detected already download for Windows so if I click here you can get for Mark you can get for Linux so I'll click download button so as you can see the download has started but I terminate it because I earlier downloaded it I'll just click on this so once V quote is done downloading you go to download directory this is it you just double click to run so you click on accept the agreement I accept the agreement so you check this create desktop create a desktop icon and click next so you click on install Okay Visual Studio code has been installed just click and click on finish so next we go back to our browser see we have GCC on Linux GCC on windows so I will go with L with Windows since I'm installing for Windows so I scroll down you see prerequisite install V Studio code which you have installed already so the next is to install the extension but we'll do that a bit later let's install this first to install Min GW so to do that um Miss code down here we get it you get MW just click on this link click here and to be downloaded so it is downloading but I will terminate it because I've downloaded already so next after doing so you go to your download directory and install mc2 double click to run so you click on next so this way it will be installed the default directory I leave it like that click on next so click on next it's installing okay mc2 has been installed make sure this check this box is checked you click on finish okay so we have this share next go to our browser copy this command here contrl C to copy go to the Shell and you press control+ V to paste click enter so next you click enter again next you type Y which means yes proceed with the installation click enter okay so M GW has been installed and all it packages next we need to add it to our system environment variables we scroll down here we copy this part here contr C to copy we go to this search bar here and type [Music] EnV so this comes up edit system environment variable edit edit the system environment variable so click on that so go to environment variables so under user variables we have part double click so this comes up we click on new we paste the part we copy control v b after doing so you just click on okay okay so you just click okay here so next let's verify let's verify our MW installation to do that we just open command from CMD B administrator click on yes so take it down here let me resize okay we just copy this command here first one control copy so control V the base click enter so have this next we check this g++ will copy this contr c v enter as you can see next we copy this one here CR C control V enter so you see everything has been installed so next let's open um V code vs V code comes up so now we need to install this extension copy it here control C to copy it we go to vs code go here where we have extensions you click past it there to search so the extension con have L of them so install this the first one click on it there has over 60 million plus downloads so click on install Okay the exension has been installed so close this so let's write a simple C+ just code andest so next we just go a file we go to new file click on select a language which is C++ so press contr s to save I'll save on my desktop and just say test can save so this is a simple C++ code contr s to save okay so to run the code we just click on this icon here then go to run C C++ 5 click on it then we click on this second one g++ click on it so you can see the code has run we have hello world so basically this how you can configure Vis Studio code to run C and C++ programs thanks for watching the video if you found it if you found it useful please give it a like And subscribe to my channel I'll see you in my next video thank you
