Setting Up Java in Visual Studio Code | Java Development Environment Tutorial | Complete Guide

hello and welcome to my channel in this video I'll show you how to install Java with Visual Studio code let's get started go to your browser and type Visual Studio code and click enter click on the first link on this button when I click on this drop- down icon here we see that we can download to for mac and Linux I will click on the download for Windows button to download for Windows it is now downloading once it's done downloading click here to run the setup if you get this click on run accept the agreement and click on next click on next next next again check all these boxes and click next click on install now let's go to our browser and download coding pack for Java make sure to download the appropriate one for your operating system once it's done downloading click here to run make sure you accept the agreement and click on next we need to install these two two components Java development kit and visual studio code take note that Visual Studio code has already been installed that's why we have Okay click on install to proceed with the installation before we continue please like this video and smash the Subscribe button to join the family thank you let's continue click on finish this automatically opens vs code next let's open command prompt and verify that Java has been installed java-- version and hit enter as you can see Java has been installed now close the prompt and go to your text editor in your text editor click on file and select new text file press contrl s to save the file I'll save it as helloworld.java take note of the file extension I'll just paste this simple Java code make sure the file name and class name match if not you'll get error when you try running the code press contrl s to save the code next click on this to run the code if you get this make sure you check private and public network then click allow access as you can see here our code ran and output hello world if when running the code for the first time it doesn't run consider restarting VSS code and running the code again thanks for watching the video do not forget get to like the video and subscribe to my channel I'll see you in my next video thank you
