MapleStory: Explaining the V Matrix System!! [IN-DEPTH GUIDE]

[Music] hey guys what's going on it's orful here and as you guys can see we are in Lake of oblivion nameless town which is part of the arcane River map which is the vanishing journey area so I'm going to be going into depth with all the new maps and areas in a future video so if you guys want to see that and stay tuned but for this video guys what we're going to be talking about is the five matrix system or B matrix system and skill cores and node stones and all that nitty-gritty stuff that's pretty complicated it's kind of hard to grasp but I'm gonna try and make it as simple as possible for you guys to understand and to kick things off what it pretty much is is the fifth job so as you guys can see even in current maplestory GMS you can see the fifth job tab however we don't have the five matrix button and we don't have these skills here because they don't just appear here so let's go ahead how it's gonna work is you're gonna have to click you have to click this B matrix button and it opened up the whole system okay so it's really really cool it's really neat um and it's really interesting but we all seen this we all know what it looks like so what we don't know what I'm gonna show you guys is basically how you get these ok these are called skill nodes okay there's different types so I have it on all nodes which shows everything there are skill nodes like this that grant you like decent skills and stuff like that so you could get decent combat orders so if I take this off um it'll go down here because it's a skill node so you could get decent hyper body it's all those decent skills and a couple other ones new skills I'll show you guys those when I get them as well however we have these skill nodes we have boosts nodes which actually boost their like a passive enhancement so these are enhancements to your already existing skills their passive enhancements to existing skills for your character and as you can see the ones with the lock sign are ones that are still boost nodes but they just don't apply to your characters or skills because the thing is you can get skill nodes boost nodes for all classes and you could get like it's kind of sucks but it makes it harder to get these ones otherwise it'd be too easy right so you can just click Next if you have too many here to see the next few that'll show up but anyway that's boost nodes and then we have special nodes that are pretty much like individual passive these will proc once you meet the certain condition it's like a conditional passive so for example if you kill if you get 100 combo kills your your critical rate will be increased by up to a hundred percent like it'll go up to a hundred percent for like 10 seconds so that's kind of how these work we're gonna unlock more in this video and show you guys speaking of which I'll go ahead and show you guys that now how exactly to unlock these nodes and how to get them and it's actually really simple so all you have to do is have note stones and you could get these from getting I think node node shards or something like that I can't remember what they're called node stone pieces or no charge or something like that and pretty much once you have five if as you guys know from the five events that are going on maplestory five events that are going on if you can get these like little shards and if you use five of them it'll create an entire note stone and each notes don't believe it or not it just takes one each node stone is actually an entire skill an entire node so I'm gonna go ahead and you could set it to a hotkey as you guys can see says double-click it but if you just press it boom it'll have this very cool animation and it'll lock something so luckily I got something for my class so that's really good and I actually need this one to enhance it we'll get into that a little bit later but I'm going to use a couple of them and show you guys just the variety of things you could get another one for my class um it seems like on the test server the chances of getting something for your classes is higher than it might be in the real servers but if this is the actual rate on the real servers then that's really generous because as you guys can see I use 4 and 4 times in a row I got the same I got the same like I got skills for my boss so that's absolutely amazing and then finally dark night I know this is luminous so we got luminous skill node now so I'll use a couple more I use four more just to get an even number there another one for my class oh whoa this one has monsoon in it so I never actually got a node like this all right use three more another one for my class and to just you could instead of clicking okay you could just hit enter so it's really easy to use these and like I said the Luck is absolutely unreal really good but again that might just be test server stuff so now that we have noon on nodes let's head back to the five matrix system and to equip these and unequipped them you double click them like this okay and so for the actual 5th job skill for this one howling gale which is wind arches the actual 5th job ability it was called a skill node stone um I think these are these are just called no stones but the the one for your actual fifth job ability is called a skill node stone so it's a little bit different in that regard and as you guys can see because I I removed all my node stones it takes them all the way from my fifth job tab so basically whatever you have in these cores you get in your fifth job tab makes sense and if you remove one and replace it it'll it'll do the same it will remove it from here and replace it with the new one you put in now how you unlock more cores is by levelling up so leveling up does play a bigger factor in maplestory than it has in the past so now to get more of these cores to be able to equip more nodes and node skills and note stones whatever you want to call it to be able to equip more cores you're gonna need to level up so I think it's about every six levels you get another slot available starting from level 200 so a egg for example 206 you're gonna get another one and so on and so forth all the way up until level 250 node to level 249 is when you unlock the last slot so they gave us level 230 which is really cool probably never going to get 230 on the real servers unfortunately because I'm a noob but as you guys can see we could go through the tabs and let's go to skill nodes okay so as you guys can see these are the skilled nodes I have this one is for all archers there's each branch of class or warrior pirate things like that all have their own unique skill and this is the archer one so I'm going to go ahead and equip it as well as howling gale because obviously that's the you know most important one for wind archers and I'm going to use combat orders so decent combat orders I'll go ahead and show you guys those you can see the description of the skill pretty much everything as if it was skill and if you back out of here you could see it in more detail just like every other skill so let's head back in here and continue equipping things so boost nodes and special nodes I don't really like the special node so I'm not going to equip that however I do plan to unblock more in the future and again show you guys that but it's pretty cool because for these boost nodes they have like a little part of all of their name all the skills that it boosts in the title so as you guys can see this is called gusting heavenly breeze arrow and while it's a little bit funny it's so awesome in my opinion because even though some of them have the same three skills just in a different order I think there still have a different name on different titles kind of hard to explain and explain to you guys but it's really cool because it's like a whole new kind of skill but it's just like a mash-up I don't know it's really hard to explain but I think you guys would know what I mean so I'm gonna try and find the best ones for my class and equip those this increases two of my main skills so I'm going to equip that one this one is the same thing right yes sent in an arrow see this is what I mean they increase increase the exact same three skills but they're they're considered different so frosty heavenly storm heavenly storm Sentinel arrow so you see that's that's what that's what I meant so I'm gonna head and equip this one and all of them stack up they stack up so if I go in here you can see my song of heaven stack my level 4 it is 3 out of 50 because I have 3 cores that enhance it so if you keep in hang up putting on cores that enhance the same the same skills or abilities it's going to continue to level those up and as you guys can see it adds two percent final damage for each level so if you get it up to level 50 it's gonna be a hundred percent final damage and as guys can see at certain thresholds like a certain goals like level 20 it'll hit one extra target and then at level 40 it'll have 20 percent PDR or monster defence ignored so really cool stuff and all of the skills have that little you know level 20 level 40 boost so let's head back and continue I'm just trying to put on what I have that I think is the best for my class don't want to take too much time on this though but this one is really good see it says I can't have multiple of the same notes note but this one isn't one that I actually have on so that might be something I need to bring up with the guys at Nexon but that's the reason why there's a test server right so that we fix these things before they go live and we'll just try and put something on okay we'll just leave it like that for now even though we have two blank spots I'll just put on anything such as this all right so there we go so that's kind of how that works okay so pretty much yet you're just going to want to equip the best ones that you have stack them up keep leveling them up so that you could eventually you know essentially level up these skills here but as you guys can see I have them might have I'm level 230 I have all my slots filled but there's still only level 3 and level 2 and level 1 so what's the solution to that well there's another feature that's called like you can enhance and disassemble node so let's go ahead and check that out there's different NPCs that do this I think they're only in the arcane River area so you can't really find these NPCs unlikely friend stuff which makes sense because you're going to be an arcane River for most of your time if you're going to be training paths fifth job as well so it makes sense and it's pretty cool that it's like that so this is one of the NPC's there's another one in Chuchu island that's called Lian but we'll go through all the NPC's in all the towns into the future video I really like by the way how there's a reflection and like this misty water it's really cool it'd be super insane if they added the reflection for your character but I know that's it like impossible to do but anyway let's go ahead and talk to our Chell or our shell node master I want to enhance her craft a node so it'll show all your knows going to show you which ones you have active aka on and so could click no crafting or for ones that are not for this year you could right-click it okay so you right click and you can enhance your disassemble so I'm going to disassemble this one because it's not for my class and just like that we got ten node shards okay and node shards are gonna show up right here okay so let's go ahead and disassemble a couple that we don't need and then we'll go ahead and show you guys enhancing so we don't need this one it's not for our class this one's for Buccaneer we don't need this and you might as well disassemble them because to my knowledge you can't trade these they're bound to your character once you you know use the the node stone so let's continue to get rid of for a couple and then we'll try to just enhance something for you guys so it's going to be a very long process keep in mind because we're on the test server we have like infinite of the node stones but on the real server you're going to have to grind for these and find them in drops I believe you're going to find the shards as drops and you're going to need to get five like I said in the beginning to create an actual node stone which then you double-click to give you an actual skill or node so that's all we're gonna do for now let's go ahead and disassemble this and see what we get for this actually if it's still 1050 so you get 50 node shards for different things you get different amounts let's go ahead and do door as well to see how much a skill nodes don't will give us let's see forty so the passive thingy was more than that but we have a hundred seventy node shards I'm sure you guys could agree i disassembled a good amount so let's try and enhance something one of the best ones that I have we can even enhance this if we wanted I believe but I'm going to leave that a level one for now and I'm looking for a really good one this is good you know what we're just gonna do this one we'll do this one because song of heaven is my obviously main attacking skill so we'll go ahead and enhance this one and see what it's like okay so you have to click it this is my first time enhancing by the way so I'm doing it with you guys for the first time so I clicked it and now I'm going to click enhance to make sure it's the right one okay and XP plus 50 Rank 1 so it got exp but did not rank up um I believe those this one necessary notes okay so what that did was it used one of the same like nodes I had because I had this exact same note down here so use that to enhance it so let's try and do it again so as you can see we have you know I'm just looking at how much nose I have in total let's see if we can enhance this one and we can so when I click the thing I was actually clicking one of my other nodes that I had down here as we can see I'm clicking this one right here and I'm going to sacrifice it to to enhance it okay so I got 50 exp and let's see if I do it again if it'll actually level it up so it did it ought to rank to now and because it's Rank 2 it went all the way up to here and it now increases my things by more than you know the ranked ones so that's kind of how that works is pretty interesting how we would enhance our actual 5th driveability then I assume we have to keep getting it we have to get multiple of our 5th probability which seems a little bit difficult I'm not entirely sure those who don't quote me if I find out more assaulted information afterwards I'll go ahead and let you guys know but now let's take a look at the node crafting alright so we're gonna click it and here we go node crafting so it shows all the skills for every job which is quite interesting so I guess if you're interested you could kind of click it you know see a little bit of information but that's that's pretty crazy so I'm going to try and type in howling gale because I think this is the Blazers fifth job ability so I'm going to type in howling gale and this search bar by the way is case-sensitive okay so you're going to need a search for it manually and it is case sensitive like I'll show you guys if I just put Halden Gale lowercase G it won't pop up however if we paid uppercase it will so I'm going to try and bring this up with the guys that next line and hopefully they could you know add that quality of life change to make it not case-sensitive or to have it restricted to only your class we'll see what we could do but either way it's not hard to type in the name of your skill that you're looking for and if I wanted to craft this let's see uses no charge in your possession to craft the selected note stone so if I want to craft this what would it take it would consume to win energy oh no that's the actual skill description so it shows you how many nodes shards are required and it takes 141 I have 170 so if I want to craft the nose stone it cost 35 which I'm not quite sure of the difference if I want to craft a node Stone it'd be 35 want to craft the actual note I guess it would be 140 so let's go ahead and do both we'll do both let's do this first use 35 no zones check your inventory alright we're checking our inventory oh so no charge could give you a note stone this is just a note stone okay so what we have to do now is go to view my nodes let's go ahead and disenchant one more thing here this one's pretty garbage so we'll go ahead and disassemble I'm not sure where it shows the exp for arts our skills though it doesn't show the exp for these cores I was hoping it would maybe that's an error will look into that though but let's go ahead click this and craft it and it should give us one of these so that we could enhance it okay we have received a note howling gale okay let's go to view all view my notes and there we go we have it here so if we use that now and enhance this we should be able to no problem however is probably not going to hit rank two because it only gets fifty experience but we're on the way to rank two and that's essentially how you'd keep ranking up your nodes and keep ranking up your skills and getting stronger and you know stuff like that so it's something that you really have to put in the work to work towards and you have to make sure you get a lot of note stones and use them and disenchant and then enhance so it's really cool I think it's a modern MMO kind of thing it feels much more modern to do this I think in maplestory 2 they have a similar way of doing things so that's pretty interesting to note but yeah like I said you'll see all the things here you don't have to click these except for the ones that are actually skills so like these two but these are just passive buffs or passive enhancements to your previous skills but again this is a skill so you're going to need to use that so that's pretty much how the five matrix system works and yeah like I said you get more core slots as you level up every four or six levels I'll have definitive details if I miss miss inform you guys on anything I'll have you know corrective details in the description as well as in a comment so if if you would want to just make sure you know if there's anything check the description in the context right below that like button but that's kind of how it works if you guys feel I missed anything please let me know again in the comment section below and I'll gladly go over it or I'll redo the video if that's the case but I think for the most part I got everything down again you'd want to talk to this NPC not found in all towns I checked Leifer and I checked another town I think kerning City and I did not see these NPC's there so yeah you're going to want to come here or any of the you know higher-level Maps towns and yet you'll be able to do this cool little crafting and enhancing and disassembling function
