Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I've just finished reading "Wicked Beyond Belief - The Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper" by Michael Bilton, the main person involved in making that documentary.
One of the best true crime books I've read. I'd definitely reccomend it.
This was amazing. The only problem is i kept falling asleep while watching it! Not because it was boring but the music and the calming narrators voice. I played tiny snips of my son who agreed it's total sleepy brain food. I had to keep rewinding it. I wonder if I caught the end I think I was half asleep. Grrr. Then I took a nap and woke up with a crick in my neck. Stupid Yorkshire ripper. Typical! I've always been fascinated with him as well as other British serial killers in that time frame (general) like Hendley and Brady etc.
Thanks on advance.
I have an Uncle who was a policeman in the Seventies, he had some very minor involvement in the the Yorkshire Ripper case. Door knocking, field searches etc.
Thanks i started watching and couldn't, have to go to work, but really enjoyed what i saw
You weren't I kidding about it being the best. It's so understated and non -sensational. If only ALL of them were made in this slow, old-fashioned, British style! I'm absolutely sick of ID Channel-like crap and 're-creations'. Great post 💪
This looks interesting, will watch
