To sing a song perfectly in tune all the way through without hearing the music is difficult enough, to do it without hearing yourself either is absolutely ridiculous. And to do it all from muscle memory and practice with tuners is an amazing show of perseverance. I got my degree in vocal music performance, and I've always thought if I ever went deaf that would absolutely be the end of it for me. Very inspirational.

She has a really good voice, and I hope she isn't just a one trick pony that can only write inspirational songs. I want her to be more and do more. Having a recognizable deaf talent on the music scene is never a bad thing. She will have some tough competition from this year's show ( Will Tsai's magic trick is one of the coolest fucking things I have ever seen) but I hope she does well here and beyond
