what is with this year 2024 malyalam Cinema is just crushing it and with this film malam cinema is also going for Mass honestly I didn't know I needed FAA m in my life so morning let's talk hello guys I'm Prince and I finally got to watch the latest Malayalam film a return anded BYU Madan now if you don't know recently there was an issue with PVR and Malay film for not releasing made a whole video about it and when that issue got resolved I was still not expecting the film to release near me because it mostly doesn't happen or if it happens it's very very far but it was a surprise to me that the first show for this film playing in Goa was nearby and I could attend it so technically I attended first day first show The Moment I Saw the show is happening I just booked a ticket and I think that's what many people did because it was a packed theater and that's the best way to experience this film because it's all about the community Watcher it is that film to be consumed with a lot of people together now the film is a gangster spoof but with a lot of nuance there's a big relatability factor and even when the film goes very ridiculous it's still convincing even when it really gets serious at moments and to balance this is really really hard because if it gets too funny too stupid or it gets too serious to a point where it crosses a line it becomes unconvincing it becomes unreal and you'll start to lose the interest in it but this film never crosses that line the characters in the film don't appear to be stupid but cute and that's what keeps you hooked now the humor in the film is outstanding it never feels forced it's too organic and very situational as a spoof it show show his sequences which we have seen many times in different films and then tries to find humor in it instead of creating something random and stupid now the film has just come out but I want to delve into some minor spoilers ahead so if you have seen the film then only continue watching now the director of the film jitu Madan I've seen his previous in Ranon also and there are a lot of similarities between both the films the way he represents the bastor life it feels lived in because all of it is coming from his own experience you can tell that there's step there's Nuance there are details that only someone who has lived through it understands it can portray it so well and because of that the film feels close to reality it feels relatable maybe what's happening in the plot is different it's you know fiction but the setting the characters we are seeing you create a connect with them because you see yourself within them and once that connection builds between you and the film then the film can take you anywhere and you will not mind and that's the power of this director in romanum we had this group of friends living in this house only one or two of them were working all others you know were unemployed just passing the their time enjoying playing and the way we see all of this is so detailed that any bachelor in the world will able to relate to it and similarly in this film we have these new students joining a college it's the first day the parents have come to drop them what all happens that day the registration forms you have to get a hostel then there will be this guy who has his own hostel outside and he tells the parents oh this hostel is not good it's bad influence for them my hostel is very good well-maintained put them there is cheaper also watching all of this I could relate to it because it has happened I I have witnessed this when you're able to see your world in the film you attach yourself to it and the film has won you and we have not even come to the best part yet jitu Madan screenplay is full of moments and individually all these moments work so well that you will remember them whenever we talk about his films you'll be like you remember that scene or remember that scene that was so funny that was an outstanding scene that's the impression his films leave on us but when you see these films as whole there's no clear buildup of anything in the plot we are living these Ms with these characters there's a lot of breathing time in the scenes instead of rushing giving you non-stop humors one after the other there's no time to breathe and you will find the same thing with Drano and that's why you feel the length of the film at moments it feels like nothing is really happening where are we going how does this scene connects to the next what are we building to it's very natural to have these thoughts but films like these they are so detailed that it's all about experiencing the present moment and to enjoy that it's like the road trip it's not about reaching a destination quickly but enjoying that travel and creating memories there I usually don't talk about music because I don't get it that much but for this film I have to talk about it what an incredible job done by suin sham the thing he does with this film is that we all think we are badasses when we walk in a college or a school they needs to be a bgm playing and we are walking in slow motion but all of that is in a mind it doesn't happen in real but in this film because it's relatable you get to live that you see yourself there you connect it to your identity and it feels like the music is playing for you the cinematography is so good the slow motion sequences the action is done so well the editing is on point and the film is totally unpredictable because whenever you think you know what this character is going to do next or what is going to happen next the film always take a turn there when you feel that things will get serious it turns into humor and every time the film just throws you off and that makes you laugh more and also the film has a good message yes we get to see all fun and games but we need to study also the film makes a point to show you how a Bad Company can ruin your life how going in that direction can lead to deep troubles and even the way the fil ends our characters get to learn a lesson the film shows you all the cool things drinking smoking being with the gangsters but it doesn't romanticize it it shows how it all can backfire also and even that is done with humor not in a preachy way and why I'm referring this film as mass is because Fafa fat F doesn't show up until the 30 minute Mark in the film and even before he appears on the screen we hear his voice and a and just that gets the loudest cheer in the theater when the film says reintroducing fat fil it's not lying at all this thought of Fafa Mas didn't even cross my mind ever the film uses fa fil stardom which he has gained over time and gives it a character which we all went in the theater to see it's the actor coming before the character but all the fun is in the way the character is being portrayed we don't get a typical Mass reveal you know first shot of his shoes then his hands then from the behind and then full reveal we just hear his voice that's enough and then he just comes through the camera his swag when he gets angry his slow motions it got so much cheers in the theater and I'm like what can this man not do I think I need a new one the edition of ranga now even the look he has in the film The edition of the white hair even his younger look in the film it adds so much to the character but there's more of course Fafa being on the poster will get a lot of attention and eates and that's very deserved but this film Stands Tall on its casting which is so so important always during the action the hero shines but this film give its due to the henchmen the real heroes who do the stunts that we enjoy on the big screen the slow motion kicks the flips the punches you enjoy these people doing it and the hero are standing at the side telling them what to do tell me about a better pairing than ranga and Aman what a chemistry they both had sjin gopu carried the film as much as fat fasil if not more our Three Musketeers hipster mun and rashan I think it's the first time I'm watching them and they carry the film for 30 minutes until Fafa shows up and in a way they are the real protagonist of the film they do it without shedding a sweat the loud cheer the driver uncle got when he came into action the amazing typical mother who just wants to know if everyone is happy the humor coming from a character is so good when she asks ranga are you happy oh my God the pause and then it hits you oh my God we watching a lonely gangster we're getting emotionally attached with him all the Back stories we got we don't know if it's true or not just like romanum we are guessing until the end when we get to know it's all true and ranga is not a great guy he's a gangster he's a cold blooded murderer he gets attached with these kids but he's also willing to kill them at the end it's not that he's being a bigger person and letting them go not at all and that's what makes the character so exciting using the kgf song when the Mom is calling what a touch and I'm sure there are so many such things which when you watch the film again you'll find more and more of it I feel it's going to have a great rewatchability value this was one of the three films that released reviews for us coming soon but what a unprecedented year malam Cinema is having and we are just in April looking at the releases happening in May oh my God what's going to happen please qu kala and do it for this guy also mamuti and why no one can like be him check out this video what do you think let me know you all in the comments below and I will see you next time and I'm I hope I did that well because I had this whole chat with my malali friend doing it again and again and asking if I'm doing it right or not hopefully I passed
