Making Money Online is EASY..... Apparently! (Get Rich Quick Schemes)

what's up guys i'm paul and welcome to my channel so apparently you can make a lot of money online and you can make it really really easily well that is according to a lot of the gurus that are here on youtube whether they're in their own channels or they're running ads on other people's channels in fact there's a chance you may have an advert from one of these gurus at the start of this video and if you have please let me know in the comments below but all of these gurus make it sound so easy to potentially go and make ten thousand dollars a month that seems to be the go-to figure at the moment is ten thousand dollars a month and all you need to do is follow their secret method unfortunately for us mere mortals there's so many methods out there you can make money from drop shipping you can make money from amazon with things like amazon fba and selling books through the kindle store you can make money from affiliate marketing you can even make money here on youtube and you may not even have to get in front of the camera or even potentially create your own videos sounds amazing right and what you need to do to find out this secret method you just need to go and buy their course but is there any truth that you can make money using these methods probably not because these methods aren't guarantees of success and they're usually a bit scammy or spammy but the thing is the actual business models that these gurus base their secret methods around can actually be used to build successful businesses look at ben francis for example the guy who founded gymshark they started out as a drop shipping business dropshipping supplements and then they reinvested the profits from the drop shipping business into their clothing brand which is what catapulted gymshark to be a billion pound company and at one point was the fastest growing company here in the uk there's also people who have made lots of money selling through amazon selling physical products or digital products there's also lots of people who have built five and six figure blogs which make money from affiliate marketing and i'd recommend going and checking wp eagle's channel now because he's actually interviewed people who have built very successful blogs he's also built his own successful blogs and it's worth checking out that channel and when it comes to youtube we all know that youtube has made quite a few millionaires look at graeme stefan for example he started on youtube and he's now built a million pound business all around his youtube channel so we know that these methods can be used to build successful businesses it's just the fact that these gurus say that it's going to be quick and easy and in many cases you're not even going to have to put in that much work and when it comes to business those three things don't really apply because generally it takes time and effort in order to build a successful business now there are some businesses that are kind of overnight successes but this is generally the exception not the norm and a lot of people if you spoke to these people who founded these businesses would say that it took time and effort to build their businesses into what they are today it most definitely wasn't easy and he probably wasn't that quick either now i know this from personal experience because when i built my e-commerce business it took time to build that into a profitable business and while it was nowhere near the size or scale of gymshark it still was a profitable business but it definitely didn't take me a couple of months to get to ten thousand dollars it took a couple of years to get to that point and even with what i'm doing now with my youtube channel and also my blogs as well it's taken time and effort to build them into what they are at the moment and they're making nowhere near ten thousand dollars a month and they're getting on towards two years old so this thing where they say if you just follow their secret method you're going to make all this money really quickly there's a good chance you're not instead you're just going to line their pockets by buying their course and you're just going to end up out of pocket without a decent business at the end of it now a few years ago i was given a piece of advice that's really helped me in business and hopefully it'll help you guys out as well and that is when it comes to making money look at what people are doing not what they are saying and when we look at what these gurus are actually doing what are they doing to make money where are they focusing their time and energy is it into creating these businesses that are so called fantastic opportunities or are they putting their time and energy into making and promoting courses telling you how fantastic this opportunity is it's the latter the reason is online courses can be way more lucrative than actual these secret methods that these gurus promote and this is where they're focusing their time and energy and i've got a question for you if you knew of a business method that you could quickly and easily replicate that could easily generate you ten thousand dollars a month would you do it yourself or would you make a course and sell it to other people i know what i would do i would rinse and repeat that process time and time again until i had enough money so i could retire go and sit on a beach all day and sip fruity cocktails because who doesn't like a fruity cocktail but that is genuinely what i would do i wouldn't be looking to sell it to other people and when you look at business in general when a company finds a way to make money they keep it a secret that's why there's things like corporate espionage because when people know how to make money it's a closely guarded secret and if they are going to sell that secret on it's going to cost millions and millions of dollars to try and find out what that secret is they're certainly not going to give it away in a couple of hundred dollar course so when we're looking at what these gurus are actually doing they're focusing on the courses rather than these business methods now i do slightly fall into that category i'm not saying i'm a guru in any way shape or form but as i said in my last video my business now my youtube channel and my affiliate marketing blogs have been more profitable than what my e-commerce business was but the difference between me and these gurus is one i'm not selling you a dream i'm telling you how it is and i try and be as honest as possible and three i'm not trying to sell you a course i give every bit of information i know away for free because i want to help other people and yes it's in my vested interest for people to click on my videos but i'm not trying to sell you anything i just want you to watch my videos and if you find them helpful to drop a like on them because that's what helps my business out with the almighty youtube algorithm but all these gurus are trying to get you to sign up to something they're trying to sell you something and this is the difference between a good mentor and a bad mentor now i'm not classy myself as a mentor in any way shape or form but a lot of people when they're going on youtube looking for business advice they are effectively looking for mentors and be very careful about the people you follow and what their intentions are because a lot of these gurus you're just seen as a cash cow how can they get you into their funnel so they can sell you things where there's a lot of people on this platform who are looking to help people and give all of their information away for free and these are the people i think are really genuine because a lot of people have become very successful in their chosen niches and now feel that it's their almost role to pass that information on and help the next generation of people through in those industries and i think these people are very genuine because there's no self gain on their part they're not looking to make any additional money other than what they can make via youtube by people clicking on their videos now i don't want this video to put anybody off from starting an online business that's not my intention i just want you to go into starting an online business with your eyes open and understand that it's not going to be as quick and easy to build a super successful business as all these gurus say it is and there's still this mentality that online businesses are easy to start and create and make successful and that's simply not the case anymore because online businesses it could be argued are some of the most competitive businesses to start because there's so many businesses that have got online presences now there's so many businesses that are online only business and you're competing with all of these so it could be argued that starting an online business you are facing more competition than if you actually started a business in the real world rather than just online so i just want you to go into it with your eyes open and understand it's not going to be quick and easy and also be careful as to who you see as a mentor because not everybody has your best interests at heart a lot of people are just looking at lining their own bank balance rather than helping you out so i hope you found this video helpful if you have please drop a like on it because it
