Making Hydrogen With Magnets

[Music] this is a small section of the device that are built in cheap and easy hydrogen generator so if you want to see this whole device check out that video I'll put the video title in the description in the bottom but I really wanted you to see what happens here because it's absolutely astounding and I'm going to give a close-up of it while we do it so that you've got a nice open structure you get a close-up and you can see the effect so what I want you to watch is the rate of gas generation at these points here that's the negative electrode where we're producing hydrogen see that that gas generation rate increases okay so the last one we did was water with potassium hydroxide this one is urea and again watch those points so my friend down to Preston sent me this and the paper is called direct magnetic enhancement of electric catalytic water oxidation in alkali media so it did not collide media wad and we saw that increase in the production of hydrogen and we did the same thing with the arere and we saw again an increase in the production of hydrogen so it seems as just putting a magnet close to this will actually make that much more efficient than it was without a simple person power passive magnetic field I thought that was really really awesome because obviously it's a way of improving these things without actual energy input we can use the permanent magnet to do it I thought I would share that with you and I'll put that link to the paper in the description that should just be the title that copied the title and pissing in Google Scholar and I put the DOI in there so you can find the paper and have a read but I wanted to draw attention to it because I thought it was super cool and for all those people producing hydrogen it seems to me like a real and genuine way forward anyway I hope you enjoyed the video and thank you very much for watching
