MAKING DUBSTEP USING STOCK PLUGINS ONLY

what's poppin guys I will they send them once again with another challenge video a couple of days ago I've asked you guys what challenge should I do this time and many of you guys suggested I should do the stock plugins only challenge a challenge that is completely over but hey instead of me making beats and stuff I'm going to be attempting but making with only stock plugins from FL Studio I know lately I've been really trying to experiment with Ableton and actually try to make some videos with that I know some of you guys really miss FL videos they'll be coming back but yeah without further ado let's jump straight into it so first off we'll turn this VPN to 150 because that's every dubstep track tempo right now also I'm going to search for some samples the filter right sample pack of course okay we will use that also we need a pretty good snare alright and I will copy and paste this and we also need a hi-hat pattern we had the ride and one last thing we can add for our drum loop it may be a crash and now it's time to do some actual bases i thing is the way I want to do the bases is with Harmer even though I didn't buy that but for the sake of this video we are going to use that also some of you guys told me to use citrus to make bases or just to make overall citrus bases tutorials but I'm going to break it down for you guys just just look at this I don't even know how to even use this well you got a famine RM and I guess this is the modulation so guys I don't I don't even know how to use this thing just just go watch some seamless video or something I don't know what will I somewhat know is using this thing so just let me get a default preset thing here and now is the actual time to make a base so what I'm gonna do is make a new pattern thing put it out like this super low we just have to work on this holy Sh check this out that's a congratulation thing let's use that so what do you have to do to keep this beast super interesting is just modulating the photo this knowledge in hardware holy check this out it's not super interesting so we kind of have a base that is not really base but we can post-process it I don't even know how I'm gonna do this but let me first get this in the mixer so what I'm also going to do is this like this from the master put this into insert 11 doesn't even matter we're going to rename this side chain and put it right before everything now every sound except for the drums are going to go through the sidechain and what I'm also going to do is select this one area in the playlist and create a non formation clip and now what we can do is create our shape for our sidechain so it can easily see where we can make this shape kind of kind of around here and then we can just drop this and make it super super tight and then can paste it on the snare but this time we can make it unique and give it an extra thing like this this copy paste so we will need to post process this bad boy first off I'm going to clear the low end zone boost around the mids because I want that one now what I really want to do is add an EQ and make things like this and also boost the resonance on this one high-pass thing and now we can start modulating this so we can create an automation clip and make a shape kind of like this and now we have kind of a talked effect what we can also do is get another peak make a thing kind of like this you can make this detached so now we can see how this automation is going on so as you can see this filtering stuff from DEQ is pretty much giving a talk effect to our base also for bases only we can give them different inserts called them bases put them right here and our bases are going through the sidechain obviously but now we can give some effects to all our bases which will be way faster let's give some way shape or thing let's add a 3d compressor and obviously let's add a limiter I can go back to our base and I think I'm going to add a flanger oh that's something good and what I also really like adding in FL Studio is the effector especially on bases because this is really good turn it out the bypass holy ok so I think we're kind of done with the effects for this one base I'm just going to add another EQ because some frequencies are super harsh so I'm just going to simply copy paste this here also what I really want to do is create this group track thing for automation is only so we can keep it super clean maybe I'm gonna do this for bases - I don't know okay but now our drop lacks of ton of sub so we need to add a sub so I'm just going to make a pattern like this and now I'm going to add a 3x oscillator at least to a sine wave and I'm just going to draw something I don't know some notes and also what I really like about making a sub base thing is going into the pitch and adding some really short attack thing you'll see in a bit so yeah the sub will really attack a lot and we'll give our drops the movement so now we can just keep this into the insert this is going through the sidechain but we need to give this bad boy so this will not sound modest and let's add a wave shaper and now we've got ourselves a sub bass alright let's make it our base [Music] okay so you got our base pattern ready and let's play it finally this has I don't even know how long it took me to even make all of this Jesus Christ but it is kind of ready and now what I want to do is add stuff in the background so it doesn't sound so empty so pretty much let's add another Harmar and let's make some sauce tabs or something and let's add them into the mixer they're going to go through the sidechain and let's actually post-process them okay I think I need an ARP so for that I'm adding good outer harbor and the last thing we can add is a chant okay let me just add the cymatics hey I don't know and now we just have to copy and paste this drop over here and I guess our drop is kind of finished I don't know [Applause] [Music] so I hope you guys enjoy watching this video it is kind of difficult working with Harmar since I'm not using it at all but hey I figured out some stuff I can use from it and actually make something somewhat decent so yeah guys don't forget to smash the like button if you enjoy watching this video subscribe for some more stuff like this and don't forget to leave in the comments some more challenges you would like to see me do and yeah I'll be seeing you guys [Music]
