hey guys welcome back to my Channel today we're gonna be turning siren head into a tick tock beat so let's go yeah sick I think we're done so let's go ahead and play it alright so now that that's out of the way do you notice my mustache we're pleased to invite you to enjoy the cool calming sounds of yes today also we're gonna be making a dubstep song rhythm rhythm song a dub a rhythm dubstep song out of the stock FL studio drum rack and when I say you know like a dubstep song I mean we are only going to be using the kick clap hat and snare for everything we have our kick we have our clap we have our hat and we have our snare that's all we're gonna use nothing else is the song going to turn out terrible yes so I think the first challenge here I mean obviously we have our drums so we don't worry about that but we are gonna need to make a sub bass somehow the easiest way to do this would just be the resample a kick stretch it a bunch resample stretch resample low pass distort hopefully by then we'll just have like a nice little sine wave mess so here we have our kick I'm just gonna stretch it as much as I can wow I almost forgot it's gonna go ahead and resample that once more and then stretch it again so now we have this and you can hear right here that's kind of a got some sub qualities to it so let's just isolate this area right here kind of a falling sub so I'm gonna resample once again stretch it again that's pretty consistent right there so let's go ahead and just toss this on our mixer start EQ it alright do one more three cues on the bumbaclot let's try distorting it a little bit we can come back to that later but at least now we have a nice little sub bass next let's make a drum pattern this clap might be the worst thing that's ever happened so I'm gonna use the snare let's try and tighten it up a bit now let's get our kick in here suck it's so good I think we got it I think that's it I would play this live [Music] [Laughter] so we have our kick here got kind of a nice clicky sound I'm gonna just throw it on its own channel and I'm gonna load up this effects rack that I already have made but we'll go through it step by step so basically basically we're gonna turn our kick here I'll just draw a little pattern here we're gonna turn that into this [Music] so it's just one rack right here we have two eq's the first one at the top so the CQ is pretty much taking out all the high end along with this one so right off the bat we're just taking up pretty much every bit of high-end that there is this filters here but we're not actually using that at the moment so I'm just gonna turn it off one more eq taking out even more iron because like who wants it who wants it I don't get it out of here this distortion plugin just on quantize and the drive is all the way up is just kind of amplifying the sound and to even further levels of another filter down here which we're not using so I'm gonna turn that off we might come back and use those later I don't know this reverb with the decay all the way down and the wet a little more than 1/4 up and then VOCA decks right here the pitch shift we can we can automate both of these later to get cool new sounds but it's pretty much half way a little bit past halfway the release is a little bit past halfway the attack a little bit more than a quarter hold is kind of just a little bit down here barely up and that gives us this we have a portal here which is kind of I never knew that that moves I thought I was having a hallucination am i what the portals giving a kind of this creepy sound not really much going on here I just turned the stretch off on the size of 4 to 1 the density all the way down to 164 but then you know you can mess with the pitch here and get cool sound and last but not least our trusty friend effector here for some delay and this is also something that we can play with the tempo is just literally at the middle book so I'm gonna go ahead and route this over here since we're out of slots that way we can add more stuff as we go I think the first thing I'm gonna do is take out even move take out some of this low-end right here I don't know if we're making this just gonna copy sudden deaths today big Tings on the bumbaclot let's see how that sounds now oh good it sounds like probably just because we haven't used the hi-hat yet when in doubt just [Music] I'm not really I don't really make rhythm ever so this is kind of new for me also I don't ever just make an entire song out of four god-awful samples I'm learning just as much as anyone else here I don't know I don't know what I'm doing but I do want to change this pattern because I just you know as fun as the quarter notes are I think we could I think we could spice it up a little bit more than that so let's see what else we can do here oh you want me to turn it off oh okay I'm sorry I I don't know I thought it was starting to sound kind of cool no okay that's my bad although I'll stop sorry does my neighbor so this is where right now I took it down to 140 because you know I figured since we're making like rhythm dubstep that excuse me I don't know 140 seemed more fitting also I have a mustache now so like I can do whatever I want what I did here is I just made a kind of a new pattern this sub that we made out of the kick I put some distortion on it just kind of sprinkled it on you know so it's like it's like this and then I have this filter here that's kind of getting at this pattern and then our our kick synth is pretty much the same exact thing that we had before it's kind of messing with the delay there the snare I decided to take down a little bit so it's a little more chunkier and a good girth the hi-hat still just chilling the hi-hat is chilling so hard it's literally just but you just can't argue with that tell me someone who makes better hi-hat patterns than I do tell me that name one person and when we put it all together we got this and then right here I just kind of put the delay up you want to repeats here it just creates kind of a new variation and then right here I've gone and just arranged the kick synth pattern so that it goes like this and then put the snare pattern so it kind of hits along with the way that the new kick pattern keeps saying kick pattern but it's a synth so this is already gonna be the most confusing thing ever here it is I took the sub out entirely what I'm gonna do now is resample our kicks in this part sounded kind of cool I pitched the whole thing up five semitones and then I thought this part sounded cool so I had that start the the B section off here I keep wanting to use like outside samples but um I know that we're allowed these four samples only and then it just automates some random Shh and hopefully it sounds cool change the envelope here then it does absolutely nothing okay perfect that's kind of cool I think our old friend reverb is gonna come to the rescue here you know it really just needs an intro I think the easiest way to do that is to make it nice and short you know no bull I'm gonna take our resampled kick synth and let's just reverb it out into an intro super washed out maybe I'll use what is it Ruby convolve er nice way to just wash out your reverb and we'll just introduce the synth slowly so it'll start like yeah and then another one yeah and then another one yeah and then another one don't have like a riser or anything I guess I could try and make one I don't like a stretched-out kick drum or something but I just don't really feel like it I don't think we need it you know what we need is a hi-hat so we'll just bring the hi-hat in right maybe it will use the clap we haven't used the clap yet I'm gonna turn this clap into a risers by resampling it about four times and stretching it to bits and pieces [Music] still once more who really gives it let's reverse it we made the entire song out of just the four stock FL drums I'm adding I'm breaking the rules and I'm adding one more adding one one element here oh it's a big oh it's a big tune oh it's a big tune in it I think that's it we made rhythm made a rhythm song out of out of our trusty our kick our kick clap hat and snare nothing else this might be like the best mix down I think I've ever done in a song I'm sorry I'm I'm I'm blabbering at this point all right here we go else of virtue [Music] [Music] so now you know like you know don't ever be discouraged about lack of you know resources because you can you can eat you can do it yourself you can do it you can make a steaming hot pile of garbage with just you know minimal resources it's not hard it's it's uh anyone can do it so yeah thank you for watching this video I've been a bit mi recently if you haven't noticed but it's all good because I'm I'm moving which is exciting I am moving hopefully I think in the next week and a half so you know we'll have to say goodbye to all this wonderful background noise unfortunately you know people screaming garbage trucks various alien spaceships also um okay thank thank you I'll have a much more consistent schedule once I moved out of here also if you didn't know I just played the de cycle take over for the insomniac base rush livestream last weekend and the whole set is on youtube if you want to watch it it was insane it was crazy [Music] [Music] so yeah I'll put the I'll put the link for that in the description if you want to go watch it and other than that I will be back soon yeah and don't forget to don't forget [Applause] [Music]
