Making a mahi mahi fly! #fishing

mahi mahi Dorado dolphin fish whatever you call them today we're spinning up a streamer based on these gorgeously colored fish I'm tying this fly on a big size 2 watt saltwater hook honestly this is a pretty small size for these flies but you could scale these up to a size six o size 7even o however you'd like for the tail I've got some Flash and feather as well as some Bucktail and then that little wing right there are some really iridescent peacock hurls I tie in one of these barred polychrome rabbit strips add some craft fur as well as some schopen feathers and then I bring that rabbit strip forward to form the ridge on those fish then to finish off the fly I add some laser dub to form a head brush it out stick on some eyeballs and this mahi mahi fly is ready to fish these are super cool flies I love the color and I bet a pike would even eat one of these as well
