hey guys welcome back it's been a while I was busy with my normal daytime job as a teacher and didn't have a lot of time for projects but I'm back and I'm still working on the belt grinder my belt grinder I made the drive wheel but and now I need to cut the keyway and now I have the shaper of course I will use the shaper for the keyway but I need some tools to cut the keyway and the manual shows the keyway cutter is mounted in the kappa box and some will fix the kappa box or mount a steady tool instead but I will try to use a cap box and see how it goes and I thought okay what would be a good and easy design so quick and easy I don't want to make a big two-day project out of it and I found this nice big bold it's m20 it's 12.9 steel so that's quite strong steel for this and the normal cutting holder or don't know how you call this part tool holder and it's mounted from the back and it fits inside the clapper box in here so we'll make bushing with the m20 thread and thread the bolt in with a nut on the other side to mount it cut out the head drill and ream some hole for the cutter and yeah quick and easy so let's see how it works [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] so the tool holder is ready and next step is making the cutting tool are we using the old machine tap m6 for that cut it off and grind it the tool will have to degree cutting angle and around 10 degree clearance angle and also from the top and front view it will have the 2 degree clearance angle so I will start with the 10 degree 10 degree is said over here [Applause] yes quick and easy two degrees [Applause] [Applause] for the top and the front clearance the two-degree clearance I need both angles in one cut and so now I only cut the top side two degrees but not the front side so I need to tilt this one in two degrees and then grind it but I thought about making a indexing hat or something like that but then I thought okay this project was about quick and easy so how about that two degrees two and a half one and a half it doesn't really matter so this is close enough and it should work put it on there ninety degrees no [Music] 90 tilted to degrees fix it clicking check reason why I used so much stick out here is because I want to cry and a little flat on it for the setscrew and for the orientation of the of the tool so next and last step is grinding the flat [Applause] just to design thoughts I drilled these two little holes to be able to fix it if the thread gets stuck inside without these holes I have no way to grab on to this part so I don't think I will use it but if I need it then I can use this for a tool and the other feature is I drilled this three millimeter focus here this three millimeter hole in the same alignment as the cutting tool so I can use that put a drill in it or something I get to align it how's that for an alignment drill three millimeters [Music] okay first test cut or it's not a test cottage for a part for the belt grinder I noticed that clapper box need some pressure downwards maybe the arm is too long or maybe the keyway cutting does need a fixed tool I don't know maybe you guys have any idea but if I put some pressure on here then it works okay so cutting itself is c-45 steel works okay so yeah let's think of something to hold the cup of box and then cut the keyway how's this for a low-cost solution just an inner tube from a bicycle tire [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so this little project is finished tools to make the tools and never enough tools but yeah the keyway cutting was really nice it did need some tension downwards so maybe in the future I will build a solid holder for it and maybe make a little bit shorter tool holder and so it can get more tension but this one is nice for longer reaches but the key ways in and it's for the my belt grinder so that's the project I was working on so let's get back to that and save the video for that for a new video so thanks guys for watching and see you next time bye bye
