Make Your Desktop Look Modern and Simple in Just 8 Minutes!

after watching this video tutorial until the end your desktop will go from this to something more modern like this by the way if you are interested in my current desktop wallpaper make sure that you check out my wallpaper pack called Vivid Horizons by clicking on the first link in the video description so to start let's apply this translucent effect on our taskbar like you saw in the intro so how can we actually achieve this translucent effect on our taskbar is by installing a third-party application called translucent TB which you can also get on github.com or if you want it more simple you can also install this application on the Microsoft store as well but for this tutorial I will right now install this application from the github.com so on this website make sure that you go to the releases right here at the bottom scroll down and here make sure that you also click on this link so by clicking on this link you will get translucent TB app installer file and then if you click on it you will get this pop-up so install translucent taskbar I will keep checked launch when ready and you can also click here install after successful installation of the translucent taskbar you will see the screen which looks something like this and you will also see the changes already made in the plaza bar so here I will click continue and now we have the translucent taskbar in our system tray right now I will move this icon to here so it will be always visible so right now let's modify translucent passbar here at the bottom I will right click and then let's go here to the dash club now you can also enable this feature which is called show taskbar border and right now you will see this border at the taskbar but I really don't like this feature so here I will right click on the system tray icon of the translucent taskbar go to the desktop and uncheck this option now if you go here back to the visible window you can also enable this and let's go back to the visible window and here I will select clear now we can go back to the maximize window click on the enabled right click once again go to the maximized window and select here clear right now you can also see that it is already checked to show Tile Bar border which I will right now on check now you will basically repeat this process until you have every single option here set to the clear and unchecked show tiles bar border but keep in mind that you need to have this feature here enabled so this is pretty much it for the translucent taskbar application now you can already see that with this specific wallpaper we have here black icons which aren't that visible to me so here I will go right click and click on the taskbar settings here I will go to the personalization I will go here to the colors Tab and select here choose your mode from light to the custom here I will change my default Windows mode to the dark so this icons will be white right now and this is much more visible this is pretty much it for the translucent bar right now let's install a few of the widgets and also the custom wallpaper right now let's open the Firefox and let's search for the rain meter which we will also need to install for the widgets on our desktop so here on this website called rainmeter.net make sure that you click on the download button and then you will get the rainmeter.xf file let's click on it and then we can click here ok click next here and let's click install click yes on the administrator prompt and here click on the finish right now on your desktop you should see a few of the pre-installed widgets so you will basically right click on every single one of them and then you will click on the unload so this will get rid of every single pre-installed widgets from the rain meter with that done you can also go here to the Firefox once again and let's go to the wallpapers home for the another wallpaper or you can also check out my wallpaper pack called Vivid Horizons but like clicking on the first link in the video description here I will go to the wallpapers home click on this website and here I will download this black wallpaper without this tree in the middle but you can also get this orange wallpaper but I think that the black one looks absolutely fantastic so on this website click on this wallpaper without the tree but if you want the tree you can also get this wallpaper with the tree on this website so here on the download click on the 5K version and right now the download should start here we also have this wallpaper which we just got let's open the file explorer and here right click on the wallpaper and set as desktop background so right now we have this custom wallpaper on our desktop with the wallpaper out of the way let's install the custom widgets pack for the rameter so let's search for the Monterey rain meter so this is basically the custom Macos style widgets for our Ray meter program which we are going to to apply on our desktop so once again on the GitHub let's go here to the releases page and here down below make sure that you click on the monterey.rm skin file to get the widget back for the rain meter program after that let's click on the array meter skin click on the install and this should basically install this widget pack after successful installation of this widgets you can go here to the system tray open the ray meter and here let's go to the Monterey folder let's click on the settings.inf file and right now we have this widget here first of all let's apply some of the widgets on our desktop as I like it here I will go to the widgets Tab and right now I will apply the clock I will also apply the calendar monitoring notes reminders and also the timer so this is pretty much it here on the top left are the widgets which we are going to apply on our desktop and right now we can also change the appearance of this widgets right now by default I think that the default mode is actually blur but I will go with the color option so because this color option is kind of bugged we will need to restart the rain meter right away so let's close this widget and let's also quit the rain meter from the system tray and right now let's go to the start menu let's search for the all apps and let's go here to the ray meter so right now I hope that the style of this widget is applied correctly and it actually is as you see so these are the widgets which I'm going to right now resize for the layout which I'm going for so let's start with this clock widget at the top right click and select here white so this will change the actual style of the clock so right now is it looks something like this with the digital clock before that it was actually analog right now let's also apply the custom size of the widget for the calendar as well so here I will click on the large and put it here somewhere at the bottom of the previous clock widget so here let's go for the reminders widget next here I will right click and select here large let's put it at the top beside the clock widget and also the calendar widget right now let's go with this timer widget let's click on right click and let's write this widget up and let's move it somewhere like so and we will need to repeat the process for this system resources widget as well so right click click on divide and put it somewhere like so and also for the notes right click and select here large and put it somewhere like so you can also see that this widgets aren't online properly so I will try to move them somewhere at the center of my screen for that nice look so yeah I think that right now we achieved that centered look and I think it looks absolutely fantastic so this is pretty much it for this tutorial thank you for watching if you are interested you can also check out my
