hello guys so this is the energy meter that i have created few days ago so i brought this video to show my energy meter for you this is the circuit board of my energy meter and we are using uh arduino uno as a as the microcontroller to operate this system and also there is a cm800 module you can use any gsm type module for this and lcd screen i have used 16 by two character lcd screen for this and this is the ct this is a ct transformer so we are using this transform as the current sensor and there is a relay we are using this relay to turn on and off the power supply for the ac equipment there are three leds uh i have used this leds to show current units used by the user additionally there are two regulators in here and here this regulator is used to create four volts which required to operate this gsm module and this regulator is used to obtain the firewalls which requires to drive this arduino uno this lcd screen and sensor and this relay module so those are the main components of the system we can power the system from nine volts so i'm using 9 volts adapter to power this system so let's see what's happening when we are powering the system so the system is powered on so gsm module is trying to register it with the network yeah they'll see the screen came and the blink rate of this gsm module is has slowed down that means the gsm module is now registered with the network so i have created a separate arduino tutorial on this gsm modules and you can refer this tutorial from my channel i will put the link in the description and you can watch that too those are the main components let's see which informations are showing in this lcd screen so in here upper left corner it is showing the current which draws from this from ac equipment which has connected with this device and the wattage of this of that equipment and the used unit of units of electricity and here it shows the price i have configured the unit price of the of a current unit accordingly the price will show in here so currently it is not showing any uh data in here because we have not still connected any equipment in here so i am using this multi plug to connect ac devices and i will connect the multi plug with this system and i will show how i am going to do this i have disconnected the live wire of this multi block so i can connect these leads to this current sensor of the system so that means simply we are putting the current sensor uh to this lead to this line so i there are screw screw connectors in here so we can easily connect this multi plug to this unit so let's see how we are going to do this i am using a hairdryer this here right as the ac equipment and i will plug this in here i am turning on this hairdryer let's see what will happen rising and the price is rising also accordingly yeah i turn off the uh here right there are some functions that user can use to operate this system with sms okay i'm using this mobile phone to send sms to this our unit so let's you see create a message this contact as the number of this same so the message i will send the message like units right i'm sending this message [Music] descent yeah i said reply message as seen from this system it says current units that means currently used kilo towers 0.01 uh and it says the bill lease as 0.06 rupees that means 6 cents according to this display it is ok and there is another function which we can use to disconnect the uh disconnect this power supply so currently the hard drive is working so okay we will send a message to disconnect power supply of this system and i'm sending this let's check what is happening for the relay yeah the relay has turned on by and has cut off the so the cut off the power supply so the error is not working you see and also we can reconnect the system so i want to connect the power see what is happening and we'll see the working of these led leds so you will see that these are going and the yellow led has is loading with this 0.2 slower soon so now is 0.03 kilowatt hours so the red led will link [Music] so that's how the leds that's how the system is working user can use the system to monitor his usage of electricity he is able to connect and disconnect the power supply remotely so this will be convenient for him so thank you that's all see you next time you
