ephesians chapter 4 talks about the five-fold ministry of the church it says there's apostles prophets pastors teachers and evangelists today i put on the prophet and pastor hats to fulfill my scriptural responsibility to this flock today i realize much of what i preach will be like preaching to the choir on wednesday night i was talking to somebody at my bible study table and said i want to thank you for your courage and i said you know we have to stand in this moment he says you don't understand because of your stand other people are standing your courage has infected other people that have courage too [Applause] so in preaching to the choir maybe the greatest gift that i can inspire and infuse in your life in this moment is to have courage to do the right thing and i realized that there could be some nicodemus is watching online and uh maybe in the shadow of of online it's safe for you but i want you to hear what the spirit of god is saying in this moment to the church joshua chapter 24 title of my my sermon is make a decision joshua 24 verse 15 it says and if it seems evil to you to serve the lord choose for yourself this day whom you will serve either the gods of your fathers who served on the other side of the river the gods of the amorites and whose land you dwell but for me and my house we will serve the lord i i want i want all of us to say that last line together i want us to say it together but as for me and my house we will serve the lord we stand at a crossroads it is decision time it is decision time for the american church and it must recognize the moment that we are in the pastors and church leaders of the state of california must understand the moment that we're in because it is a decision moment evangelical christians must come to grips of the moment that we are in and it is a decision as we stand at this crossroads where god and evil are colliding we stand at a crossroads where convenient truth and god's unchangeable truth are going in opposite directions we stand at the crossroads where casual christianity and radical revolutionaries are going in opposite directions we stand at a crossroads where two types of church leaders have emerged and they're not reconcilable one will lead to pacify a crowd that doesn't want to cause any waves and the other will lead with boldness even if nobody follows because there is no room for compromise there are not multiple options this moment is singular in nature it's black or white there is no gray there is no neutral ground and you got to understand the spirit of deception would like to confuse the moment by saying don't overreact this too shall pass things will get back to normal just comply but that is a lie the spirit of antichrist has blinded the eyes of passive believers because the spirit of antichrist comes as an angel of light and the angel of light has couched its narratives by distorting biblical truth to make the believer think what is happening in this moment isn't that bad it's just a new normal we just all have to get used to it i cannot believe how many people who don't see this decision moment right now that we're in i can't believe how many good christian leaders have blown this moment off trying to gain strategy abstraction by rerun strategies that built mega churches in the 1990s i'm sorry it is a different day i'm sorry it is a different hour it is a different moment this is a moment of unvarnished truth not a moment of making me feel good i wish i could push back i wish i could push back the calendars to the good old days push back this moment where we could preach comfortable sermons and ignore the threat because a threat wasn't in our face push it back because it would be easier but not the right thing to do but nothing is going to take us back to the 80s and 90s nothing is going to take us back to the ronald reagan in the state of california nothing's going to take us back unless and less unless unless christians and pastors and church leaders heed the voice of joshua who stood in the promised land who stood on the land that they had conquered and fought for for 40 years you didn't hear what i just said who stood in the promised land in front of people who he went to battle with for 40 years conquesting what god had given to them and after 40 years of bloodshed after 40 years of giving oneself to the promise of god he said you have to make a decision he who hasn't here let him hear what the spirit of god is saying to the state of california and the churches of the state of california dietrich bonhoeffer a theologian from germany in world war ii stood against nazi germany but his main call was to call out a compliant a sleepy dead church dietrich bonhoeffer said this silence in the face of evil is itself evil not to speak is to speak not to act is to act [Applause] joshua says if it seems evil to you to serve the lord see there's only two options there is no gray air and i get it no christian no modern christian no church leader would ever say it seems evil to me to serve the lord no one's saying that but that's how seductive and deceptive the moment that we're living in is right now can i just give you the hard truth can i give you the unvarnished truth can i give you the uncomfortable truth if it seems harsh to you that a pastor would call you out in your sin and not give you a parachute built out of humanism to rationalize your behavior because of this greasy grace that has been propagated in the church for decades if it seems evil to you to be challenged in your behavior and held accountable for how you act if it seems like that pastor is being too legalistic if it seems like that pastor is mean spirit by calling out compromise in a believer's life and calling out a lukewarm weak church in america today by having enough courage to preach an unpopular message of holiness do you understand holiness begins in the house of the lord this is the moment that we're in right now god is purging the house of god [Applause] if it seems evil to you if it seems wrong in your eyes for a minister of the gospel to speak to the current political corruption in our government and call out the immorality of politicians if it offends you that a pastor would be outspoken about politics and the issue of our day and you would classify him oh he's too political in the church if it seems evil to you if it seems offensive to you that a pastor would draw a line in the sand and pastor would say a vote for this person is a vote for immorality evil and wickedness if it seems evil to you that the church would call out the sin of abortion in such a way that it would make you feel uncomfortable if it seems evil to you and you'd rather treat abortion like the common cold sooner or later it would go away if it seems evil to you if it seems wrong that a minister would call out the radical groups in our nation who want to destroy our christian biblical values and call those groups for what they are anti-american and anti-god if it seems evil to you [Applause] the pastor would take a stand against mandates because it takes away people's personal freedoms and religious freedoms if it seems evil to you that a pastor would open the doors of a church and defy a governor's orders that violates scripture and our first amendment right as amer if it seems evil to you that that pastor is culturally out of touch with the current trends of popular truth that he would stand with the traditional view of marriage and he would not give into the doctrine of tolerance that he still believed that god created man male and female and no matter what we do to reverse it god does what he sees fit he created man male and female if it seems evil to you if it seems like hate speech if it seems like fear mongering if it feels like xenophobic or whatever kind of phobic that you want to put behind it if all those kinds of stances that i've gone over for the past five minutes it's difficult for you to palate if it's difficult for you to embrace and beyond that too difficult for you to stand up and speak out against the sin debauchery deception and wickedness and evil of our day then you have one option serve the gods of culture serve the gods that make you feel good serve the gods that doesn't convict you of your sin serve the god that blinks and turns his head away as if there he had no standards joshua understood the moments that he was in it was a moment of decision joshua understood the bloodshed for 40 years to take what god had promised a promised land and he realized at the end of those 40 years something was in jeopardy did you hear what i just said something california the united states is in jeopardy right now joshua stood at the crossroads where there were not there were not multiple options there was one way or another there was truth and a lie there was righteousness and there was sin there was blessing in god's favor and then there was living in bondage and joshua says if it seems like it's evil to you to serve the lord then he says choose for yourself choose for yourself barack obama said elections have consequences that it might have been the only time that he wasn't lying to us i'm just saying just saying [Applause] listen chris listen christians evangelical christians you are watching online california hangs in the balance just like november 3rd the united states hung on the balance and things shifted on that day now joe biden has been in office for seven months and look at the consequences of an election your choices have consequences that's my time not yours [Music] just over the last seven months let me highlight what choices have consequences 86 billion dollars left behind in afghanistan inflation rate 5.4 the highest rate since 2008 gas prices increasing by 86 homeless has risen it to seven percent its highest number in uh since 2007 and 52 of the voters say biden should resign so the question the question is this the question is this i'm making a point how did joe biden get elected it's not by what you think plea i appreciate your comments but my comments are more important right now listen to me it's not by they didn't count the votes right or anything like choose you this day believer choose you this day evangelical christian job biden was a neglect elected regardless how they counted votes because the evangelical christian vote didn't do the right thing and they convinced themselves it was okay and they didn't like the bombastic personality of donald trump and they believed the lies of culture and evangelical voters voted for a man who in seven months has become the worst president in our history now listen to me it's not on joe it's on you it's on the pastors that would not stand up in their pulpit and by the way they couldn't stand up in their pulpit because they shut their doors of their church they bought their line they said their church were growing look at all the views that we had they weren't growing at church they only watch for 10 minutes and they turn them up because they realize nothing has changed and people have left those churches in groves because they did not have the courage to stand up and speak out [Applause] [Applause] now i'm going to say something that's going to offend people i mean really offend people the blood of afghanistan is on the hands of nominal evangelical christians in america you made a choice and your choices have consequences choose for yourself joshua understood they were able to 40 years to get what god had promised him a promised land but he understood how quickly they could lose it we stand at a tipping point right now a time in the state of california we're at a tipping point i've been written up in almost every national publication in america over the last couple months they all suggest that i have violated the irs rules of the 501c3 i don't think people understand i don't think the modern christian understands the true role of a pastor in this moment you're called a shepherd and that's not to make me feel good stuff david was a shepherd and he killed a lion in a bear and took on a a giant i don't think media understands the moral obligation i have to god not the irs listen i told the la times last sunday i am not being political i'm being biblical this is the role that i play right now as a shepherd and as the prophets proverbs chapter 29 verse 2 says that when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice but when a wicked man rules the people groan if the leader of the immoral democratic party of the state of california isn't recalled there is going to be hell to pay and you're going to hear the groaning of our state like we have never grown before newsome will interpret this as an invalidation of his policies mandates and restrictions he had put on us and you thought 2000 and 2001 was bad bad buckle your sheep out for 2022. because churches conservatives and christians are going to pay a hell of a price craig you're overreacting really i'm overreacting go listen to my sermons last year at this time and you'll be surprised at the prophetic nature that what i was saying that what was going to visit us in 2021 i i hope for your case that i i'm overreacting i really do but just look at australia right now sure i could shut up sure i could go away but the call of god is more important for con than convenience and comfort in my life right now understand the prophets in the old testament they weren't well liked please hear this prophet's voice as i'm crying in the wilderness right now it's decision time your choices have consequences or your lack of choices have consequences one more time dietrich bonhoeffer silence in the face of evil is itself evil not to speak is to speak not to act is to act there's just a few throughout the state of california pastors that i know that are standing shoulder the shoulder and it might be too late my our voices might not be loud enough our influence may not be big enough but if i have any kind of influence today especially for you who are watching online if you're a church attender whose church and you uh who hasn't spoken out about this moment who hasn't spoken out clearly about tuesday september 14th if you are a pastor a church leader a denominational leader and you haven't spoken out to the people that you lead about how critical this moment is on tuesday september 14th then the words of joshua indict you if newsom isn't recalled the word of god will not return void do you understand that choices have consequence barack obama or the apostle paul whatever a man sows that shall he also reap we will our choices will reap more immorality our choices will reap more political corruption our choices will reap more sexual deviant lifestyle our choices will reap the losing of our religious freedoms california ought to be the crown jewel of the united states of america but just like joe biden has made the united states a joke among other nations newsom has made a joke of california and it isn't because there isn't greatness in our states it's not because our state doesn't have a rich spiritual heritage it does sacramental the city of sacrament that state capital the land was given by nuns to the state of california 21 missions were established on the west coast in the mid 1700s but we have defiled the holy ground of our state by the choices we have made over the past 40 years we have given god's promised land back that so many people like you harley worked hard to build we have treaded on this sacred ground by compromising with culture and making choices about who runs our cities our school boards our county and who runs our state when the wicked rule people groan my god my god it is about time every evangelical christian pastor church leader in the state of california get a backbone get some conviction and stop this nonsense speak up and stand up choose for yourself choose [Applause] then the last two words that i want to focus in on is this day this day that's why i'm saying it's decision time that's why i'm saying this is a defining moment for my generation why because we hold the mantle right now we hold the mantle of power we hold the mantle of authority we hold the mantle of resources money this is a defining moment why because what we will hand to the next generation will be determined shortly if you're not willing to take a stand in this moment in actuality this is what you're doing you're cursing the next generation coming from behind you're saying to them enjoy the hell i have created for you it's what you're saying jesus said do not say that there are four months and then comes the harvest we always say to you lift up your eyes look into the fields for they are white for harvest christians don't you dare say to me we have the midterms joe has screwed things up so bad we're going to take back the house and senate if we don't get the recall on tuesday then we have another election in 2020 do you do you hear what is coming out of your mouth choose for yourself this day don't say four months do you understand god's character is an unchanging character somehow we have bought into the myth that god is an evolving god into a god of post-christian era here in america the devil's a liar do you understand god's word never changes it doesn't change with the shifting sands of cultural relativism the book is right they are wrong may take let me say this [Applause] to all the evangelicals who are sympathetic to the liberal agenda let me tell you where that liberal agenda comes from it comes from the spirit of antichrist the spirit of deception the god of this age has blinded your eyes and you don't even see it demise according to the word of god comes when the wicked rule so you do not get to blame this on the devil did you hear me evangelical christian online nicodemus online did you hear me you don't get to blame it on the devil it is on your hands choose for yourself this day don't you stand destiny destiny online it's decision time it's decision time it's decision time josh joshua said this he says for me and my house we will serve the lord it's decision time it's decision time zlowski it's decision time the bella it's decision time porter it's decision time rachel it's decision time it's decision time for me in my house we will serve the lord i can't make that choice for you i can't do it joshua didn't do it he only said i influence this and i'm responsible for this so as a prophet and as a pastor today over this house it is decision time you must make a decision a decision that you say i'm going to be a part of an army of god that is rising up in this moment or you can take a seat on the sidelines and live the rest of your life with regret but this is the moment you must decide whether you're in the game or you're out of the game for me and my house we are going to serve the lord come on [Music] there's an army rising up there's an army rising [Music] [Music] break every chain break everything [Music] is [Music] break every chain break and reach is [Music] [Music] break every change [Music] often we sing that song that you hear right there this is how i fight my battles and this is great this is great right here but the battle is also won by your words and by your feet you've got to integrate it all so lord god i do not regret running to this battle i do not regret the immense pressure and burden that i feel for these people and beyond for the state and for our nation i look for somebody to stand in the gap is there anybody who will stand in the gap i ask that you would fortify these believers i present them to you holy spirit would you inoculate them with a courage that is supernatural that you gave to the book of acts when they cried out grant your servants all boldness so god give us boldness in the days in front of us god i pray for our state i pray for the i pray for the churches for the pastors i understand i understand lord god the tension that they feel i ask for divine revelation over their eyes and no matter what comes our way god no matter what the cost you're going to put in front of us i want to be found faithful we want to be found faithful so i bless these people i bless them their marriages their children their businesses some of them are caught in between and they don't know what to do though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i fear no evil because thou art with me be with them i ask be with them i pray this in the powerful name of our lord and savior jesus christ and if you receive this word would you give him a praise right now
