everyone and welcome to another edition of the morning show right here on main street tv and you are not going to believe this but for the second friday in a row our own jeremiah shaver is out and about and we have another um shall we say person on the run here in the city of jackson uh it's becoming a friday thing i'm not sure what's going on but jeremiah is out and about and on the scene and he is going to fill us in on kind of what's going on um we have some pictures of the fellow that's on the loose so jeremiah welcome again and uh what's going on buddy hey good morning jen and james hope you guys are doing okay um kind of a little repeat a little different from last week i'm gonna step out of the frame here so you guys can see see the scene out here um so a little bit of a funny situation happened yesterday afternoon the jackson police department was out on patrol when they witnessed a vehicle promptly pulled over here at lykan's oil company here on athens street in jackson uh that individual it was a male driver and pulled over after they saw that the law enforcement was behind them now this wasn't a traffic stop or anything like that and so that's what kind of made it like suspicious so this individual pulled over promptly and uh got out of the vehicle and ran into the woods here behind this uh lykan's oil company the male subject his name is ryan s bavard and he ran into the woods here this happened around 4 17 p.m this was yesterday afternoon which would have been thursday may 19th and uh at the time jppd didn't know the situation um as to why this individual fled um they later learned that he had warrants out of jackson and zayuda counties but out here this yesterday afternoon the jackson police department had some more units come in along with the jackson county sheriff's office and they had a k-9 unit also on scene and they tried to locate this individual that ran into the woods and you can see him on the screen there that is ryan brevard he's described as a white male with brown hair hazel eyes height is 511. weight is 200 pounds he was last seen wearing a white shirt blue jeans and a red hat however they found the red hat near the wood line yesterday afternoon and the canine tracked his scent for a while but then lost it near the creek line there was a female passenger in the car her name was racia folden she did not run from the vehicle she was placed under arrest for obstruction for giving false information pertaining to the mail the relationship between them is unknown they did find the gentleman's cell phone in the area out here but the jackson police chief brent hinch didn't feel that bevard was a threat to the public so uh they've been following up he told me last night they've been following up on some tips and leads that they've received this is a local individual and they're currently searching for him so if you see him just call the jackson police department i will say when i looked on the court records to see on the jackson county side of things on the warrants and it looked like at some point a complaint had been filed against him he broke his community control sanctions i think that's like probation um back in 2018 it looked like he had pled guilty to a um it was a charge relating to uh drug possession it was a felony level charge related to ever i think it was aggravated possession of drugs fifth degree felony and he pled guilty to that charge and uh part of his i guess sentencing as you can call it once he was put on this um five year period of community control sanctions um at some point late last year or earlier this year i guess he must have broke those it broke his parole or probation or community sanctions whatever you want to call it and a complaint was filed it looked like in january of this year a arrest warrant was issued for this individual and uh he's not considered i guess dangerous that's why the chief said that he wasn't like a threat to uh to the public unlike the situation we had last week that individual i guess had a uh extensive criminal um history i think the way hinch had put at the individual last week um he had a felony criminal history and uh this individual um you know he does have a felony but it's more related to drugs and some of his other um criminal stuff hasn't been um stuff that would make him dangerous is the way that hinge put it but um if you do see this individual they are looking for him just called the jackson police department he is a local individual i think i'm the jackson um so they're following up on some tips and leads and uh they'll probably probably have him at some point soon but um the the warrant for his arrest was issued so that he could be brought in to the court i guess to uh for them to have a hearing on the complaint regarding to him breaking his community control was my understanding from reading the court records i'd have to double check all that with the court but that was my understanding from what i could read and access all right jeremiah and um so if someone does come in contact what did the police say or if they see this individual out they obviously want you to call or say something so who who do they call who do they contact do they call 9-1-1 what do they do you can just call the jackson police department 740-286-4131 and just let them know that you believe you've seen this individual like i said they they don't consider him like armed and dangerous or anything like that he doesn't have the criminal history like i said that the individual last week had when we had to helicopters in the air and all the law enforcement from across the county out looking for that individual because as hinch had put it last night when i was talking to him on the phone yeah that individual was from out of state and uh he you know didn't have local contacts and could have um you know like victimize somebody to get away you know so this individual you know he's local he's probably has some buddies out there that are you know probably gonna pick him up or maybe he's hiding out somewhere at a buddy's house or whatever okay so um again if you see this individual or or hear anything about it just let the jackson police know and they'll be happy to um to take your call and um but don't worry and please don't approach the dude just like call right yep okay all right thank you this has been an exciting two fridays so we appreciate you being out and about yep you all have a good morning you too thank you so much all right and our own jeremiah shaver out on the scene um where just a strange series of events happened yesterday where um police witnessed a car pull over kind of for no reason and as they approach a person driving the car jumps out and takes off running and so they're kind of on the hunt for this fellow and again his name is um ryan s bavard i believe i said that right and uh if you happen to know anything about that let the police know 286-4131 and they would appreciate it all right um we have some special guests here in the studio today and we are going to talk about something very very exciting that is coming up um this coming tuesday you guys want to come on over and hang out with us and this is the tomorrow ready workforce symposium for southern ohio employers and um we have in the studio today um [Music] oh well we have um sam brady's here making a lot of noise but the good news is he is not dressed like a pizza slice that's good news which has happened here on this program before just a few years ago just you don't give away the magic of tv like that you know you need to help people suspend disbelief and they will they need to believe they actually saw a pizza slice they saw a pizza it was not sam brady as a pizza slice it was a pizza slice a method actor okay i got you yeah we'll go with that so no um our good friends uh sam brady here from jackson county economic development partnership of course and charissa cooper and i don't know have you been here before i haven't this is my first time well welcome exciting welcome to the program we're so happy to have you here and uh the hat that you wear tell everybody about that so i am the business services consultant for ohio means jobs job and family services um so i am tackling a bunch of different projects but this project sam and i have been working um together on so with some other partners i should say sure absolutely and there are quite a few people involved in this symposium that's going to take place on tuesday and um a lot of of events will be going on so i'll just kind of turn it over to you two and tell us a little bit about you know the event but how did you come about and how did it get started and all that well actually uh two years ago just before the pandemic our office and the local ohio means job center led by tammy osborne smith and yes team schwartz is part of we actually partnered with gallia county economic development and hosted an employer roundtable at uh university of rio grande but this was pre-pandemic pre-paint like literally three weeks before yeah so we're talking about apples and oranges now but anyway yes that's good that you did that so but the round table really all the employers who participated wanted follow-up events okay so this really is two years later that follow-up event and uh the intended outcome for this is actually to gather employers such as yourself you will be participating as one of our panelists representing sixth sense we want to actually address the number one problem or issue when i see a problem the number one issue our employers share all of with all of us and our outreach is that they can't find qualified applicants right now sure so we want to you know identify have a solution solutions oriented conversation on how you know what are some best practices we can adopt what are some things we can change some cultural issues we can address to make you know our employers more attractive place to work um so sam mentioned everything um a couple months ago um we sat down with some of our local employers and we just kind of felt like we were being blamed our agency you know where are where are the workers this is what we were where's our help yes yeah and um we all got together and and we knew that you know this roundtable had happened before um but we just really felt like we needed to get everybody in the same room and just and tell them you know this is not this is not one employer's issue this is nationwide correct so that is why john trott um he does a great presentation he's got lots of data behind it um but he will actually be our main presenter um he's coming from the greater ohio workforce board he's the executive director and he's got lots of information lots of um lots of ideas you know to bring to bring to our community um but the main the main purpose is to just let employers know you know we are not alone this is not a jackson county issue no and i know in talking with other and we'll talk about this at the symposium on tuesday but just a little you know a little uh foresight to it but i know that just my husband and i have you know with the frustration of that and you have to keep and i keep saying to him but we're not alone we're not in this alone like like and and everybody you talk to says the same thing so while there's comfort in that that still isn't yeah is it any better i mean just oh okay well we're all having issues but um so i think though that that any ideas um that could come forth for both workers and employers that would make it win-win for everybody uh will definitely be welcomed and in addition to you know mr trott's presentation which you know really captures that workforce development piece and the service provider side we'll have ryan augsberger who is the president of the ohio manufacturers association that's confirmed now cool so uh mr augsberg will actually be here in jackson to come present uh from a standpoint of the manufacturing sector and what their membership has seen you know the best practices the oma can help our employers adopt as well so we're really excited about this event all right and um let's talk about where it is who is welcome to come so um the location is parks edge 601 east main street um and then the old ponderosa ponderosa um and i mean any employer any business um this this is you know the event is geared towards employers but it is open to the public yes okay there is a pre-registration uh website that you can go to which i believe charissa can directly um it is actually um eventbrite um i think it should be on uh the link is in the uh comments to this video yeah oh thank you thank you james because you're awesome you google uh tomorrow ready workforce symposium it will be the first link that comes up great see i didn't i could not rattle that off first i need to pay him more i know i agree yes that is true i agree with you he deserves everything um okay so and that again is tuesday now um what time does the event start and about how long will it last so the event i believe the schedule the agenda kicks off at 8 30 okay runs through noon okay but i i think we'll probably probably wrap up just before then so you'll be able to get out and get to lunch get back to work hey there you go so you know um definitely just a few hours out of your day but i think it will be such a wealth of information and you know so here's the thing you can either be a doer you can be a complainer and a problem solver so let's all get together and come up with some ideas and some solutions to the problem not only for employers but for employees because they don't want it in my opinion people aren't being lazy they just don't want to be in a position where they're not happy right so what can we do to get all this going in the right direction and uh a positive work culture is becoming more and more a key uh need for you know especially in the professional uh jobs but uh you know across the board and i think a lot of it is a lot of our people do not know the great jobs and great cultures that already exist in our community we have some very uh you know talent-minded employers who are doing everything they can to build those cultures that employees want to thrive in absolutely and will you have um employers there that you know maybe maybe you're a prospective employee and you would like to hear what other employers have to say um would there be people there to speak as well or that you could maybe uh connect with uh there will be some great networking opportunities available good employees and employers as well and that's kind of the point right like all we're trying to do is is hook people up together and and everybody be happy that's right because if there's anything the past couple of years has taught us is to we just all want to be happy and and it's you know life's too short absolutely if and if you can't make the symposium i would recommend if you're an employer or an employee looking you know for employment contact charissa's office you know her team is uniquely told to connect employees and employers together it's what they do and they're great at it you know and that's what you're that's what you're here for and i think a lot of people don't know to utilize your office so can we talk for for that yeah a minute about your office absolutely and um what you all offer so on the ohio means job side um we offer a an array of um different services um free services um to the public to our employers um we can help with motivational interviewing we can help we can set up an area in our office where we will conduct interviews for you for an employer um i mean the list just goes on and on we have workshops for resume writing we have stopped those since covid but we hope to get those back up and running again soon sure um anything job related anything employment related we can help get an individual you know on the right track or you know with an employee or employer you know we can help you know navigate all through all the stickiness of getting new employees hired um we do have um different grants and different things that we can help provide like on-the-job training that those are um you know special circumstances but we are open to talking with any local business that you know is interested in one of those services you know we're we're always open to that we're we love that connection with our employers absolutely so here's the deal if you are looking for a job if you're looking for employees pick up the phone and call um the office and how do they get a hold of you uh so our my direct line is 740-688-4194 our resource room that is a great tool to any individual um that if you have not very good internet access which i know is a it's a thing it's a thing um we're working on it we are but um i encourage any individual that may not be the best with technology um our resource center we have you know a great staff very customer service driven they will sit and help you you know go through every process every step of the application process with any um employer um they're they're great you can give them all of your information and they'll write your resume for you completely free that number is 740-688-4201 and if you are unsure you can just call and ask um you know for any information uh they'll help set you up and put you in the right direction and if i'm not mistaken no it's what they used to do so if i'm no if i miss them correctly no employers actually can leave applications at the resource room yes oh for your own business yes and then if you have a i know you know employers are kind of moving toward the technologically route and everything's online but you know there are some that still have those paper applications and we will have those in our area and if you tell us this is where my job comes in you know i i sit with employers and they will explain to me more in depth you know what they're looking for i know right now so many employers are just looking for somebody that is that can stand up right and breathe a body yeah seriously and and it sounds very insensitive but it's true it is um so that's where my job comes in i i like to sit down with people and you know just understand completely and then our our our resource room we see so many individuals that come in um and and we know we have a very big clientele of people that they you know somebody might be coming in to um they might have a part-time job and they're printing things off for that part-time job or they might be printing off pay stubs for um a program upstairs we have an array of people um and unfortunately i think sometimes these people get stolen from different jobs but not that we're stealing them but what we can say you know did you know that this opportunity is available and and you could make x amount of dollars more so that's where you know i feel like having more people on your team yeah yeah that's what it is yeah it's about providing upward mobility for our citizens and you know those our residential stakeholders and uh charissa hit on something that i think so important for not just the workforce development side with the economic development side is that we need to really take time and get to know our companies and sometimes that relationship takes years to really understand the intricacies of what the companies need as far as talent or even you know services and programming to help them grow absolutely and and you know it's interesting that i've found out over the years just some people mesh well with other people and some people don't and you know you have to be in a workplace environment where not only you mesh with your co-workers but also you know the the administrators or or the bosses and and whatever and sometimes that happens and sometimes it doesn't so the more everybody knows about the culture of different businesses and whatever um you know sometimes people may be too prim and proper to work in a particular place or or vice versa um so those are all things it doesn't mean it's bad it's just you don't fit there as well as somewhere else so learning all the cultures of all the different businesses and the uh prospective employees i think is just fantastic and that's what you guys do so thank you yes thank you for having us yeah that's very good and we'll see you tuesday morning yeah what time do you want me there you want me there at the beginning time to get up i mean that's not that early sometimes two in the morning i don't know there will the networking portion were you know we're having from eight to eight thirty okay very good the actual event with john trott it will begin at 8 30. okay um but if you would like to come get some coffee um just chill out yeah yeah network yeah again isn't life about having some fun right now right i mean that's the way i look at it right really should be here it should always be about fun right right i mean it's just hard so let's have some fun while we're doing it so okay so once again tuesday may 24th this coming tuesday uh workforce symposium for southern ohio employers everybody welcome so please join us and you can come in uh somewhere between 8 8 30 if you want to stay for the whole event cool uh probably let out shortly before noon correct yes all right and it's a park's edge so it's a beautiful facility to have that yes so very good all right is there anything else that we have kind of missed i i think we have thoroughly skinned the cat very good all right sam since you're here what kind of stuff you got going on in town in town or all over jackson all over jackson county sam tell us i can't oh he does that to me are there top secret top top secret are there things in the works that will provide jobs to our community and be great absolutely always okay and when those happen ohio means jobs would be right there to help those employers yes we will that's right and also sam will come here first and let you all know right sam yes absolutely although i i will in have to disclose something my wife is first cousins with jeremiah shaver's wife uh oh so there have been many many family functions so that's why he always gets the scoop he always gets that's no wonder that kid goes i just lie to him blatantly um okay but i do call him scoop shaver so excuse me you're very fair hey listen that dude's out you know in the morning like like in the woods with the the criminal last friday you know as they're catching him so i'm like yeah we said he's bait that needs to be his tagline this is shaver on the scoop i like it i think he's walking a dog is even better so i feel like we need to show this one uh photoshop masterpiece that sam created if any i don't know if jennifer's seen this i don't think so give me a second to bring this up i feel like we need to share this if for anyone that hasn't seen it before i can't take credit for all of this okay i'm just an idea guy my execution is done by my administrative assistant's husband caleb williams so so this is sam's uh i don't know ode to local newsmen oh my gosh we're celebrating oh my gosh phil buffington that is hilarious so good and in 10 years jeremiah might look like that i don't know i feel like if you threw a sweater vest on him i think he could pretty much look like that right now yeah i don't know if phil's hair is ever going to look yeah it feels feels a little yeah not as wild but uh oh my god that is so good so much room for activities exactly that's why when when you know jeremiah joined the total media team i was you know my life was just great at that moment sam's like oh no i'm just gonna have to lie more so jen if you haven't noticed phil actually has that hanging on the wall in his office no i have not noticed now i have to go look at it autograph it you should you should the brain's behind it yes oh my goodness all right um okay so did we cover everything that we need to cover as far as what we didn't need to and what we didn't need to cover um sharissa can i put you on the spot for a minute yes um thank you okay can we talk about your event next weekend yes if you don't mind would that is it next weekend i thought you're talking about my summer manufacturing camp oh well we can talk about that too we can talk about yeah so let's let's talk about your sister for a minute okay and um the events um surrounding um kind of the foundation or or whatever that you have started uh for emily okay um so 2016 um and she had no idea i was gonna ask her this no it's really inappropriate no it's okay i just wanted to give a plug for it no it's okay um thank you for uh mentioning it um so late 2015 early 2016 my sister emily cooper she was hired as the varsity softball coach at jackson and um she was tragically taken from us and i'm gonna try not to get too emotional i'm sorry this is no no it's it's okay um the emotion's good that means i can still feel that's right and we like no but she was in a car accident and she didn't ever get to coach um but she when she took that job um it was kind of in a financial mess um and so many and this is not me harping against boys and girls sports but um because i am a girl i feel like i can say this um i feel like a lot of times girls get the shaft and in this case you were an athlete so you understand yes and um emily i mean from the moment she took that job they they didn't even have enough money to buy um catcher's gear for their catcher they had no catching gear um so she had big dreams and and but at that moment she was like i i've just gotta get some money to buy uniforms what have i done i've gotta figure this out so she was just brainstorming i remember when she took the job and she saw the financials and she was like i can't even pay this is another portion she couldn't even pay umpires that's how little of money that they had in their um account so she it was a passion of her she was gonna start you know fundraising and whatever and um the rest is history she passed away she didn't get to coach and after her passing you know in the moment um my aunt um kalina cooper snyder um she came up with the idea of a 5k she had um had lots of experience and organizing um sporting things like that and so she approached our family and she said what do you think about having a 5k and all the proceeds go back to jackson high school to the girls softball team yay good idea we were like sure you know we could probably give them a couple hundred dollars well i mean again the rest is history i i think um every year we have given the softball team a couple thousand dollars yes um people man they came out of the woodwork fantastic and i i do want to say um my my parents are very passionate about not only if you can't afford to donate we don't care we are so happy it's kind of a we call it like a family reunion so many so many members of our family that we don't see ever but they they show up to this event um people that my sister went to marshall university with they come to jackson ohio i mean and and we're we're getting back to our economy because we have people coming oh absolutely so it's it's you know make sam happy over there but um it is something that we are just very passionate about we just want everybody to come together we it's not really even about the money the money ends up being there but you know the community is so supportive and that's what just showing up is what is so huge to us well and it's a celebration of emily and her life too and and how much she meant to others and that's what is so special you know i feel like um i yes that is awesome um you know when when tragedy like that happens it it is it's there's such a whirlwind of emotions and feelings and you know our our family we've really tried to come together and not only our family but our our friends and our communities and you know people all over the all over the united states honestly we've had people come from california to this race wow so um and it's not it's not for us it it's um you know and i don't even like saying it's for emily i don't want to sound boastful like that but it it it is um it's a higher power and we are so we are so oh that's that's an old picture i think that was from her freshman year that's so funny um so cute yes so we are um we are very excited about that um i will just say and i'm sure everybody's heard this but um so finally um i think in our second year of fundraising for the 5k we were really pushing hard for a hitting barn well we got kind of got turned down um six years later seven years later however long it's been that hitting part is going to happen now good for you yes and that's not anything that is not anything that the coopers have done that is all the parents and um the jhs diamond club whatever they're called um that is all them um and the community let's just be honest yeah everybody and some very um supportive community members they have pushed really hard for that um so we they are um a couple ten fifteen thousand dollars short and we are pushing so hard we want to be able to give them the rest of that money to do that so um if you don't have anything to give to give to that there you go and and how would somebody um actually participate so um we always um encourage people to sign up ahead of time the www.cooperstrong5 i see it on online yep there you go yep um so um you can register online um if you are not tech savvy and you just want to get a hold of somebody um i urge you to contact you can contact me you can contact ballina kalina my dad whoever if you know i'm sure everybody knows somebody around here to know one of us um you can contact one of us um or you can always come the day of the race you are not guaranteed a shirt um but you can still come and we'll get you one later but yeah very good and i just wanted to mention that because i feel like it's such a good event not only as you said to um it's not about emily it is about emily but um also just the community coming together and doing good it is and having fun absolutely and sam i heard is going to participate and he is going to run as a pizza slice oh please sam i'll drive the pace car as a pizza slice if jason holds apple still has it i'll wear it we should make a call i think we should we should make a call ask jason holds apple if he still has the hoser's pizza slice costume i have a good authority he doesn't though you're just making that up because you don't want to i was going to say he probably already knows he does it and that's why he's that's why he's yeah that's why he's offering we could pick up a collection and find one on ebay or something amazon i mean a pizza slice costume cannot be that expensive no and i'll tell you what i will personally personally spring for the tights because there were tights involved there were tights is there a picture anywhere i feel like we were just discussing that and it was so long ago that i know we don't i know we don't have a picture so just for the record there are some pizza costumes on amazon that are as low as 20 so that's doable pretty affordable it's not quality it's not it's not quite it's just true it is not a quality pizza it's the thought that counts sam it is not necessarily about being vain if you don't have a standard of excellence though you're just driving the pace car it doesn't matter now if you were running the hill we would think about yes we'd think about excellence i want to walk the apple festival parade in that i think that's a fantastic idea with as the jackson county economic development partnership head person i know right this is why i probably shouldn't do this oh there you go 20 bucks 20 and 18 cents i got the 18 cents okay jen you got the 25 i got the 20 bucks so i can't remember what color were the tights green i thought they were green very very green i was going to say they were green and then i thought maybe that was really was this like a dare or something how did this happen how did this come about this was his job way back a few years ago let's just say okay so sam and i've been doing this a long time right yeah yeah back when you were just a small type i might not have even been born oh no she just didn't need to go there did she no when sam worked for uh the whole zaful family and was kind of uh in charge of the stores we dressed him up as a pizza slice and he made an appearance on this show oh wow as a piece of people probably saw me walk in the streets of jackson doing my my pizza yes and i didn't even know and he did you did do the apple festival didn't you i did yeah so that wasn't made up that was real no he really did why would i make up you know seven foot slices i didn't know i didn't know there has to be a picture online of that costume somewhere there has to be i don't know i can't believe i'm not finding anything i know it's really sad that's like it used to be like in advert ads and stuff in the paper and everything i mean it may not it may not have been you but i've definitely he made the pictures disappear yeah how'd you do that how'd you do that sam memory hole oh my gosh okay well we digress terribly here at on the program so okay so that was the cooper strong yeah so let's talk about your other thing that you have coming up you said um summer manufacturing camp yes [Applause] so like which thing yeah yeah i'm hungry now so yes um so summer manufacturing camp um was started by senator sherrod brown okay um in northern ohio he wanted to bring awareness to careers in manufacturing to students oh we've gotta we've got a request okay yeah somebody's gonna text me we're gonna get to work we're gonna get it just forget it i'm going home so senator sherrod brown he started the camp and it's kind of just grown all over the state he's got lots of reps that um coordinate but ohio means jobs has um done the camp for several years of course during coven we did not do it this is my second year kind of heading the event um but such a great opportunity so i know i've sat through lots of meetings where all over the state of ohio this camp is two or three hundred dollars well for jackson county kids completely free um we have lots of great sponsors like sam here thank you sam yeah um lots of other great i mean all of our area businesses our local mayors um our all of our schools see the need for this but um we in the past have had at most 14 kids we are over 25 students registered and we still are taking registrations because we have not been to two schools yet we're doing that today and monday so yes get your registration forms in so we can make sure we have plenty of help um like last year we like i said we had 14 kids and it went smooth but we're almost double that now um but so a day in the life camp yeah that's what's going to ask you so last year was a little tricky um that we still had a little bit of coveted restrictions um but we will tour all of our local manufacturers our main local manufacturers um space side um felicio foods general mills um we will also get to travel to buckeye hills career center this year they have a lab full of robotics that i know our kids are going to be so excited it's very very awesome that is great and i'm just going to use this opportunity to tell any local businesses or if you are a small manufacturer and i do not know you i would love to meet you i would love to bring our kids there um if you are interested in volunteering i think that would be a great civil service act for you yeah and more self-interested of the fact that you are accessing your future talent pipeline absolutely you're meeting the the you know your future yeah and i will say so i feel like we are we are at a disadvantage when when we promote this camp you know summer manufacturing i i feel like when i talk to kids they're like oh boring yeah school summer so i want to be at the pool and and so that is why we have gone out that we've really gone off this year and promoted the camp and and talked to them about this is not like a boring school day yes it's the week after you get out of school and it's like the length of a school day but we are constantly they're constantly engaged they're constantly you know doing things hands-on they're they're getting to experience things that some adults don't ever get to experience a wonderful opportunity and i i believe that part of our workforce shortage you know our we need to invest in our youth and this is a great camp in doing that and like sam said as an employer as a business you are looking at your future your business's future or your your employee or your employer's future um so it it's really really awesome um great experience and like i said it's completely free i i i will say this again i am very and this goes back to everything we've talked about today as far as the workforce symposium the 5k so i can bring it all together um but i am very passionate about this area and i am very thankful for the job that i have and i i get so excited when people see the careers and see you know sam said it earlier there are so many opportunities right here in southern ohio and correct and i'm not saying there's anything wrong with moving away and seeing the world i i'm all for that also but you know there are so many opportunities right here and i i am passionate about showing these kids what what is here in ohio yeah and i mean you know it's it's frustrating when you hear the kids and and i agree with you you should get out and about and see the world absolutely and whatever and you should do that when you're young um everyone should but don't be in such a hurry to move away right um from your area because there are fantastic jobs here and fantastic people here well in case you haven't noticed over the last few years and especially last several months especially with the intel announcement yes the world's coming to you correct so i made this announcement yesterday i have a um a very good friend that's a pretty big time realtor in columbus and um she texted me and she said i am so excited i am um i just met with some of the intel people and some of the you know big wigs and economic development and she said columbus and i told this story yesterday but columbus and anywhere within like a 60-mile radius of columbus is is just about to blow wow and um she was so excited and her point was just because you're in jackson ohio don't feel like you can't blow this brewery up because she said um you do it just go for it whatever you're thinking do it because it's gonna it's gonna be great for ohio and she said you know columbus and ohio is beating out all these other states now as far as growth and expansion and um she was just so so excited and so that goes i guess to the point of what you all are saying is just because we're here in southern ohio it's coming to us it's we're bridging that gap in between the big city and and us down here when you look at what's so good what kenworth has done to chil to chill coming specifically yes imagine that across the state of ohio times 20 billion dollars yes 100 so think about that folks when when you're thinking i don't know just because i live in in southern ohio i don't know if i'm going to have these opportunities i mean intel's bringing that to us and and some of these other folks are bringing this to us and there'll be supplier companies that follow them correct which will be you know have huge impacts all on their own it's a trickle-down effect you know absolutely everyone around here has thrown rocks at a pond at a time or two and you see the ripples now imagine you know upon the shoot with the state of ohio with an asteroid falling into it that's that's exactly what's happening and if you think we're blowing sunshine up your rear end we're not i mean this is a ginormous deal for for our communities um and so it's just so exciting and i it was just funny that she sent me that text and we're having this conversation because she was just like it's on she was so excited it is so exciting yeah it is and and speaking of text um yes a very very confused jason hull's apple confirms there is no pizza costume i don't know i i'm getting conflicting rick says something different am i allowed to say that yes okay yeah we're getting conflicting reports now there there was a second generation pizza suit that you know i had the original so if it's not the original it doesn't count that is true i will definitely spring for the green tights though man size tights man size because if they're not man size it gets a little awkward tights are awkward it doesn't really matter extra large tights yeah speak for yourself you're a dude you don't have to ever wear them so you know you've never seen a fat power ranger right absolutely not for that very reason well we've gotten ourselves in all kinds of trouble is this show over now no no we have 10 minutes left anything else you guys want to talk about i've got a couple of things i'd like to shout out okay um do so so this saturday summer jackson area chamber of commerce is putting on their summer celebration that's in the uh eddie jones or not eddie jones manpower park here in jackson oh fun awesome so they don't they don't have the times on that let me see if i can find the time real quick i wonder if we can get a pizza costume by then that's pretty last minute that's my birthday i'm a little busy oh okay that's a that's i'm sure she would love that as a birthday gift she would hey baby i'm going to dress up as a slice of pizza for your birthday you like melty cheese so the sun so the summer celebration in manpower park is starts at 11 tomorrow okay and uh so they're looking for vendors but also please show up and i think they're gonna have a bouncy house and all that kind of fun stuff love that yeah uh and then one other thing i want to give a shout out to last night the market had the opening reception for their high school art show students from oak hill and jackson participated this year lots of folks there yeah that was great really really great turnout for the reception i want to highlight a couple people um this is samantha mayer uh and the oak hill art teacher angela richards and so samantha won first place from oak hill way to go yeah and so this is uh jenna jenna lewis and she won first place from jackson man do we have some talented kids in our area and it's insane this is rose mckern she's from jackson and she won best in show and that that picture doesn't do do that picture justice yeah this does not look like it's done by a high school student unbelievable it's really beautiful these are this artwork and um i wonder what kind of picture of jeremiah and philip they could do oh can we commission that uh but the high school art show will be on display until june 5th so get over there and check that out very very good i'll actually be at the market this evening for saints peter and paul's presentation as oliver oh yeah oliver oliver jr here give me a second and i'll tell you yeah tell us about that too because i know those kids work so hard um to put on these presentations or these products three nephews and a niece in the production dude how fun uh so yeah so all over at the market friday and saturday at 7 p.m and their set is really cool and there's also i don't have a picture of it to show but there is a paper mache turkey that is hilarious part of the set that's exciting that is very good good time yeah friday and saturday at 7. all right um hey free plug for the sixth sense while we were we talked about it for a minute um friday's lunch opening for lunch on fridays so yeah stop in and see us today surprised um it's a really cute uh place so wave really tonight stop by and see us all right anything else guys i think we've done enough damage all right i think we've got it okay so thank you for
