hey guys this is Tim here at Mahindra of Greensburg and Greensburg tractor today we're gonna be looking at a couple different tractors we're gonna start from the left hand side with the John Deere 2038 are in the middle there we'll have the Mahindra 1626 and on the far right we're gonna have the Mahindra 1640 tractor you may have seen our previous video where we looked at the John Deere 2038 our versity Mahindra 1626 in the coyote 6ck 26:10 and the difference in size and power and capability between all three models what we will be doing today is taking a more in-depth look at all three models the John Deere 2038 are that we just traded in is in fact clipped with a 72 inch mid mouth more as well as front end loader so we've pulled around a 16 26 Mahindra equipped with a 72 inch drive over fabricated mid Mountain hour as well as a 16 40 Mahindra which also takes a 72 inch drive over mid mount mower although each tracker does come equipped with a 72 inch mid mountain over there is quite a difference in construction of each mower let's go ahead and dive in we'll start on the left hand side with a John Deere to move away across looking at each individual mower the first thing that we'll notice as we walk around the John Deere mid mount more is well first notice that the side shoot or the side discharge shoot is going to be plastic in construction this one as I mentioned to you is about two years old we just took it on trade in the mid and the side discharge shoot is already broken the other thing we noticed now get a little bit closer here for you as we take a look at this mid-mounted deck will notice it is a stamped construction deck so what that means is it's one piece of steel they stamp into place and that's the way the mower is made we also notice as we look at the gauge wheels on this tractor that this is a suspension style deck so what that means to you is the deck itself is physically gonna ride above the ground and these are just gauge wheels so that if the mower does come in contact with the ground it lifts the deck up thus not scalping the ground however as we move over to the Mahindra tracker so we're gonna slide over to the 1626 Mahindra first thing we're gonna notice is that side discharge chute does fold up and lock into position don't need a bungee cord or anything like that on this model we'll also notice is it a heavy-duty belt rubber so in the event like all mid mountains do that the side discharge chute runs into an object like a tree or a paver it will Bend and fold as opposed to breaking and snapping like plastic the other thing is I fold this side discharge chute down we'll notice that this is a fabricated deck so when we see a fabricated mid mount meru deck first and foremost it's a much heavier gauge steel used in construction then what we'll notice is everything is going to be welded at the seam so it's a much much heavier gauge construction deck in addition what we'll notice is that the front wheel and rear wheel are actually going to be different style than the John Deere this is what's termed of ground following deck so what that means to you is that the front wheels are actually going to be Castor's because they ride on the surface of the ground the rear wheels are going to be fixed but everything is greasable on these wheels because they physically ride in the ground in the center of the mower a little bit tougher to see here see if I can get you a shot you'll see a Center roller what that Center roller is to do is in the event at that mid mountain or strike something in the center of the deck it lifts the whole deck up is one to prevent scalping of the grass now that we've taken a brief look at the mid mount mower decks themselves let's go ahead and take a look at the construction and weight of the tractors first and foremost again we're gonna start with that John Deere tractor since it's on the left hand side the John Deere tractor is gonna weigh in at twenty four hundred and thirty six pounds that being a thirty eight horse tracker let's go ahead and give a brief walk around on this machine we'll go ahead and take a look at the hood side panels rear fenders as well as floorboard we'll go ahead and give each panel a knock first thing we'll notice is the hood on the John Deere tractor is going to be a composite or plastic construction we have the same thing going on with the side panels that little bit of tin sound that you're hearing is the metal screen here just wiggling around slide and back we're gonna look at those rear fenders again same composite construction at the rear fenders we'll go ahead and knock on that floorboard same thing we're gonna have a plastic construction at the floorboard as well as we slide around to the rear end of the tractor will notice we do have a category one three-point hitch this customer chose to when upon purchasing the tractor to elect to get the drawbar and drawbar mounting plate with the machine as we're walking around we're gonna notice the tire size on this tractor so this tractor is equipped with the AR for industrial style tire this particular tire is gonna be fourteen by seventeen and a half in size continuing around the tractor we're gonna notice this has the John Deere 220 our loader that is equipped with the I match John Deere system which is their method of doing a quick attach bucket it is unique to that manufacturer in that brand as we slide over and take a look at the Mahindra 1626 now keep in mind this is a lower horsepower tractor this is actually a twenty six horsepower tractor that we have parked next to a 38 however what we're going to notice that the wheels tires axles everything is a little bit heavier duty and bigger on the Mahindra tractor so first and foremost the overall weight on the 1626 Mahindra is going to be twenty four hundred and fifty nine pounds so that's gonna be a little bit heavier than the John Deere tractor we're looking at about twenty pounds heavier however keep in mind it's more than ten horsepower less so let's go ahead and take a look at the hood on the Mahindra tractor go ahead and do the same thing we did on the Deere we'll go ahead and give it a knock first thing we'll notice is that is heavy steel we'll go do the same thing to the side panels again steel at the side panels we'll go ahead and slide back to the rear fenders we'll go ahead and give them a knock against steel you may notice there's a plastic overlay on this fender again if I reach back and underneath we still have that heavy steel the plastic is there to put a cup holder on both sides of the tracker the brake lights as well as add a nice grab handle for comfort and ease on getting on and off the tractor as we slide around the tracker we do have the category one three-point hitch with the tracker all Mahindra tractors with no exception are equipped with the drawbar and drawbar mounting plate this particular has the drawbar mounting plate right here this one the drawbar is not in place however we roll forward that seat there's our drawbar it has a nice little cradle when the drawbar is not in use so it doesn't always have to be back here behind the tractor as we slide around we will notice that this does have the turf tires on it so this is a much more yard friendly of a machine so really a true grass cutter if you will this particular tire is gonna be a 13 by 16 turf style tire so it's actually still gonna be just a hair bigger because it's a balloon shaped tire with a turf then on the John Deere however as we saw in the other video when the 1626 tractors equipped with the industrial or our four tires just like what the John Deere has it is overall a larger size both front and rear on the machine as we slide around we'll see this is going to be equipped with the 16 26 L loader Mahindra does do all their tractors with no exception with the skid steer front end loader so that is the universal in the industry it attaches to all skid steer vehicles all Mahindra tractors the next and final model we'll look at for this particular video is going to be the Mahindra 1640 tractor the Mahindra 1640 tractor is going to be a 40 horsepower tractor so it's gonna compete directly in horsepower wise to that John Deere 2038 model with the Mahindra 1640 tractor this machine in particular and I've read all these units as bare tractors that means no loader no mower no backhoe just the tractor in a hydrostatic format so this was 1640 in a hydrostatic just the tractor no loader no mower no backhoe is gonna weigh 3,000 175 pounds that's going to give you a greater than 700 pound difference between the John Deere and the 1640 Mahindra tractor as well do the same thing with the 1640s we did with all of the other two tractors we'll go ahead and walk over to this hood we'll give it a good tap steel give the side panels on this particular model the side panels are in conjunction with the hood they're actually fixed so they all fold up as one naturally we're gonna have that same steel on the side panels as we walk to the rear of the tractor we'll look at that rear fender again heavy rear steel fender just like we saw in the 1626 model we do have a little bit of a plastic overlay that does two things on this model it keeps additional mud off of you the operator and off the operator platform it also adds a cup holder on each side of the tractor and adds our flashers and turn signals on the tractor as well as we do a brief walk around we'll stroll around to the rear end of the tractor so this is the 1640 again we have that category one three-point hitch on the tractor with all Mahendra's as mentioned they all come with the drawbar and drawbar mounting plate however with a 1640 we get the added bonus of quick end links on our lower links so quick guide links all we do is push this handle down we can pour our end link out a little tough for me to do with one hand but it really makes it easy for hooking up to three point style implements if you pull up a little bit crooked as we roll around to the other side we'll take a look at these industrial or our four style tires on this particular tractor these are gonna be 43 by 1620 our four tires so again we're dumping up even larger than the 16 26 so we're quite a few steps up from that john deere 38 horse again we're at 40 horsepower out here on the Mahindra this is gonna be the 1640 front end loader just as we saw up to 16 26 and all Mahindra tractors we are gonna have the skid steer front-end loaders that is the universal in the industry same thing as any skid steer style vehicle one of the other things that we'll look at today with all three of these tractors is underneath the hood because there is quite a bit of difference now the tractor in the center which is the Mahindra 1626 tractor is load the 30 horsepower requirement for the DPF ndef filtration systems that you have on tier 4 engines so it falls just below that not requiring either those two things we're gonna start with you over on the left-hand side now again this is the john deere 2038 our tractors we're at a 38 horsepower engine being that it is over 30 horsepower this this tractor engine does have to be Tier four compliant John Deere succeeds in achieving Tier four compliancy with the use of a DPF filter or diesel particulate filtration system what a DPF filter does it has a high heat high maintenance carbon ceramic filter that collects the additional carbon that the diesel engine produces and then burns it off in a regeneration cycle where the tractor must be put on idle or at a set rpm in order to burn off that particulate while the tractor is doing that the tractor cannot be used for any jobs that means front-end loader work mower work or anything off the three-point hitch or back on the tractor the tractor must be stopped in order to do that regeneration on the machine again over that 1626 it's below that requirement so there's no DPF filter or de F filtration system just a naturally aspirated normal diesel like you're used to as we step up to the 1640 in the Mahindra tractor this is going to have the Mahindra M C R D diesel that's Mahindra common-rail diesel Mahindra is quite literally the only diesel manufacturer on earth today that does not have DP f or de F filtration systems on their tier for compliance engines this particular engine as I stated is going to be a 40 horsepower engine so as we sneak under the hood here we'll see that we do not have any diesel particulate filter whatsoever all we have is the air cleaner up front and then a muffler on the back hand side but there is no diesel particulate filter there's no high heat high maintenance regeneration system you turn this tractor on you run it as long and as hard as you would like and the tractor will never tell you otherwise it exceeds the tier 4 emissions without having any of those systems in face the last thing we're gonna look at in today's demonstration is the overall lift height and overall lift capacity of each individual front-end loader on all three models again on the far left we have the John Deere 2038 tractor the John Deere 28:38 or I'm sorry 20:38 our tractor is gonna have a max lift capacity at the front end loader of eleven hundred and twenty pounds the John Deere tractor in the Mahindra 1626 tractor which is parked right next to it have a very very similar front end loader lift height there's about an inch or two difference the Mahindra barely taken the lead on that just by an entertainer as we go to the center tractor again keep in mind this is a twenty six horsepower tractor and paired to a 38 in the John Deere tractor the Mahindra 1626 tractor is gonna have a full height lift capacity so that's the loader all the way up in the air of one thousand five hundred and sixty pounds now again that's gonna be a greater than four hundred pound difference between the twenty six horsepower Mahindra and thirty eight horsepower John Deere as we slide over to the 1640 Mahindra so keep in mind this is gonna be a direct comparison to that twenty thirty eight John Deere in horsepower so this forty horsepower Mahindra is gonna have a front end loader lift capacity of one thousand six hundred and fifty pounds so that is over a five hundred pound difference between that John Deere and this Mahindra tractor you'll obviously notice that these Mahindra 1640 lifts quite a bit higher than the other two models even though it's in the same classes that John Deere it is quite a bit different in the work capability and power that you do have with the tractor please if you have any questions any comments anything at all please do not hesitate to give us a call you can reach it I said area code seven to four six nine one zero two hundred and again thanks for visiting us here at Mahindra of Greensburg and Greensburg tractor you
