you'll have to check this out this is just fascinating to me this is a vegetarian series but when you you see a title with uh just this beef noodle and then j so it can't have beef that just intrigued me so that's why i wanted to come here they're serving all different types of noodles i get the vietnamese are very creative you don't have to have beef in your pho you can have it jay but to me it was just intriguing i thought it'd be something kind of kind of different i was interesting to see how they do it like foreign oh kind of walk in here it's just like this long narrow path but the best part is you just get away from busy saigon i mean come out here and look at this look at this nice chilled little hem it's so nice just to get off a busy street and get into a chill spot because that's what jay should be that's what vegetarian should be you should get the relaxed vibes you know most of them like it's a very spiritual religious thing you connect with buddha i mean you don't have to but you can if you want to because it's just so peaceful and the location here is prime time and even though the menu is extensive with noodles don't think you just have to get noodles here they do have like come time and other dishes they're ready to go for your rice i barely can find room to sit down we done loaded the table up so got the boom mom in the fall which was the lady recommended and we got their bun cam so it's going to have the bambio i know she said bondo and he's got some other little oh goodies i don't even know what to call them because i don't know what's in here okay i think i gotta go with the pho i mean it is the name of the restaurant well part of it anyway so start the fog that's wild that mushroom the little top of it laying flat on it kind of looked like the chopped beef on top but you know i got bad eyesight so i can't really see that well anyways touch heaven give it a little blessing that's got all the spices you want it's got the starness the cardamom the clove the cinnamon the cardamom seeds oh and then there is this richness to it that depth that loving field that you want because they are using so many mushrooms i've said this so many times i'm making these vegetarian videos mushrooms are magical well that may be a first actually honestly i can't get enough of the broth it's good raw oh my gosh look at the boon mom it actually got the mechanic they used but they've actually got it formed and that yellow coating on top actually looks like you're getting a little prawn in your boom and then this right here looks like the actual pork belly i don't know what they use for this but that literally looks like roasted pork belly hilarious of course you got the iconic eggplant in there and they got something else in here as well i don't know what this is and then they still got this type of mushroom right here which i'm falling in love with it so well adds so much depth to these noodles but it's all about the broth let's try it out first the consistency that's so funny to me the consistency and the flavor is really close that sweetness coming from the eggplant but to me like i just don't know how you replicate that that fermented fish flavor that just oh it hits home for me so much it's not quite there but it's still delicious it's still something that would take away that craving if i need to eat jay for a few days let me go for the roasted pork here no oh my gosh of course it's not meat but it's like a doughy roasted pork maybe even got a piece in there that gives you like the gelatinous fat melt in your mouth texture that is i'm a little shook right now yeah i'm a little mind blown that even just tasted like porky and salty and roasted i don't know what's going on right now this is this is some vegetarian wizardry i think what's really important too is when you take a quick glance especially the boom one you're like wait is that vegetarian because it looks really like the real [Music] thing [Music] so this ain't really fair they keep these on the table just kind of sitting here i think they're more for like the houthi and stuff but how can you not when they're just sitting right here on the table it's okay so now we got the bantap cam plate this is gonna be a different mixture of just little rice flour treats you see you got the bun bell which is a steamed breast cake you got the bundu well i guess techno he would be like another type of steamed rice cake but they're they're completely different texture taste everything and then they got another one that's actually the rice flour but it's stuffed with a a mung bean mixture i actually i don't know the vitamins name for that one i've never had it so we gotta start with that and look at it unbelievably sticky get some of there what i'm gonna guess is a cool sand which would be a cassava mushroom a woodier mushroom that is carrot cooked down mixture on it the ma ham which is the fried scallions and then they got their actual mom doctor over here to the side i'll sprinkle on it well heavy on the mung bean mixture no sweetness in it at all with that rice flour and that mung bean that is stick to your ribs i can still feel that going down and then that banduk is a winner winner that's one of the best moms at a vegetarian restaurant you're gonna get by the way honestly that was like i want to say vegetarian noodles but like i would eat those non-veg days too like they were just they hit the spot okay so my plan was to like go to another old-school traditional spot it's been around for a long time but they're actually closed today so i came a little bit more towards dalcal maybe i think we're still in district 1 to che garden as you can see it came down it's back alley off like a main road right here again going with the theme of chilled relaxed vibes so this restaurant's a little nicer but let's get in here it's still highly recommended and check it out and see what cool vegetarian poop we can find this place is serene i don't know if that's the right word like tranquil quiet beautiful peaceful yeah all those adjectives are those adjectives are those adjectives i'm trying to show you like english is not my strongest subject so that's kind of cool just looking at the mini right here is they got flavors from all different countries to see thai i'm sure they got indian and of course vietnamese y'all ordered like six dishes this is two we're gonna need a bigger table yo i should wait for everything but i can't even we got the fried lotus fruit is covered in a cheese sauce that's crazy delicious a little sweet cheese powder sauce like a little mayo dipping sauce [Music] crunchy why are not more people making these little lotus potato chips i feel like i'm being so rude i should wait down the other dishes but i can't wait all right so i actually ate half of the actual lotus root that's fried up with the sauce without even blinking and we got four dishes out here they can't bring out any more we have no more physical room to put any dishes so we gotta eat a little bit work this down a little bit and then we can get some more dishes has to be one of the most beautiful vegetarian dishes i've seen in a while this is the dow hole so the fried tofu looks like a nice soft silken tofu on the inside it's been almost like a panko bread crumb on the outside and it's a soap mad thai style let's go ahead here grab it a little bit give it a little bite that tofu is like a soft tofu dessert on the inside that crunchy like panko breading crumble on the outside and then that's so mad a little more of a sweetness to it not as sour as you would expect it's more almost like a a jelly than a soap man so this is our signature chef's salad such a hard words to say in english anyways what it is is going to be their fried taro you see they have carrot in here cucumber peanuts it's like a sweet actual passion fruit dressing they use on this as well i love how different this is actually getting the sauce like getting from the passion fruit i can't remember the last time i've had like a passion fruit sauce with a salad but it's not too sweet not too sour not overpowering just kind of complements everything brings it all together get the crunchiness from the fried taro you get the refreshing cucumber so the carrot gives you those slivers a different type of texture as well looks like this onion raw spiciness and then the crunchy little brown cracker here i picked a bad day to wear white the actual lotus root in the foamai sauce gives you like a doritos or cheetos effect look at these fingers now we got the actual goon here wrapped with the nimchu which is a sour sausage i do not know how they make this but every time i see nimchu i have to order it so i had to try i got a salad herb boon noodle carrot cucumber all wrapped in the rice paper roll it's okay it's too light i should have started with something like that so this is actually the young jackfruit that's been braised that's what car is braised so it's been cooked that sauce and they get that it's hong kong style which really throws me off because i don't know what makes it hong kong style probably my problem i should order this with some rice hong kong style is medicinal that ain't for me you know like i don't it's like a me the theme like it's like a dark ridge it's caused all its brains it's oily salty sweet but then it's got that medicinal bitterness that i did not like with that jackfruit now we've got the last one here which is the carbonara i cannot remember last time i've had just like a non-asian dish so for me this is going to be something different now this is a flashback to home we got the actual tabasco here so you know we need a little heat in life a little spice in life is good for you so a little bit tabasco on there let me tell y'all something real now now i've had too many asian flavors to eat that again another dish i probably should eat first because you know it's egg yolk it's cheese it's oh it's just kind of close your eyes melty gooey rich delicious but i've just had too many asian flavors you know attack my taste buds right now so i'd be wanting more i'd be craving more so going into that after all those asian flavors well can't really do something like that once you have asian flavors you never go back you gotta say the favorites for me were the fried up tofu here and this little chef's signature salad oh and of course the fried lotus root actually that was my favorite the people and the vibes here not only is it relaxed but the staff here is unbelievably friendly they make for such a relaxing stay from the music to the atmosphere to the soft cushion on your chairs kind of had a little bit of everything i think it's really cool like if you maybe you don't want to go get you know your cheap little rice lunch at a typical uh little restaurant that's supported by the temples you can come here and have like a set of relaxing atmosphere and just flavors from all around the world but what enjoyed about the flavors the most is they resemble vietnamese and then they don't resemble vietnamese it's something different something new something exciting and just like i said friendly people and a great overall atmosphere tucked away in the back of an alley a nice spot i know it's something different but some things happen for a reason i'm glad i got to come here and try it out that's going to do it for this video y'all end of the k series if y'all enjoyed it please let me know we will do some
