[Music] hi i'm angie i want to welcome you to national indoor rv centers where we specialize in the sales storage service and detailing of only high-end new and used coaches so basically we do it all [Music] hi i'm angie with national indoor rv centers and today i'm so excited because we are going to walk through the newmar 2023 canyon star now for 2023 they've given us three completely new floor plans they all have a garage so that's new and they are either a 10-foot garage or an eight-foot garage and the other new feature that i'm excited about is that a couple of them have the patio options so i've had customers asking for that and i'm thrilled that they have now offered that so we are going to have a great time walking through this coach i can't wait to get you to the back into the coach but before that let's check out the beautiful paint job so we have the full paint with graphics masterpiece finish with clear coat and you can see we have the beautiful windshield so i always say when you're driving a class a diesel your trip starts when you get behind the wheel because look at that huge uh motion picture window that you get able to see the country through so i love that another new thing for 2023 is that they've given us uh brighter high beams and brighter low beams so just better lighting in general for our our front headlights which is really nice you always want to make sure you're comfortable and that you feel like you can see where you're going so this year you won't have to worry about that i always tell my customers that you're really your journey your trip begins when you get behind the steering wheel because you have that huge beautiful windshield that you get to see the country through now one of the things that i love that newmar does with their windshield is that they mount it automotively so you don't have a big huge rubber gasket that the windshield's mounted on it looks just like your automobile which looks nice and sleek now as we come down from the windshield we've got our first or our side view camera for the right side passenger side of the coach when i turn on my right turn signal i'm going to get a camera shot in my at the dash of the full length of the side of the couch so that gives me great visibility and confidence when i'm turning also these chrome exterior mirrors they are your lifesaver so you know in an rv you take your time you go slow if you think you're gonna hit that curve as you're making that turn you can correct yourself and miss it so these mirrors are heated and internally controlled if you're new to shopping for rvs you may not know that in the past the canyon star was a gas class a coach now it is a front engine diesel it's the only one in the newmar lineup it has a 340 horsepower engine so just something unique about that that way you can have that toy hauler back because your engine's not in the back and you've got the midship bathroom so a little fun fact about the canyon star now an optional feature here is the flagpole holder it's kind of nice if you are tailgating or if you just want to fly national under rv center's flag or are wonderful american flag you can do that right here newmar's always thinking about safety they give us the best tires so we are on 275 michelin tires that's something i want to make sure you check into because it really gives you great peace of mind as you're traveling the country and protects your family are retro bands retro bands are a spare within your tire basically a run flat device for your coach so make sure you check out my video and you can learn more about retro bands there look at the beautiful graphics and color on the exterior of this canyon star so this is the moab option and there are two other options you can choose from also with newmar i'm not sure if you're aware of this you can customize your color so at national under rv centers we have full design centers you can really customize your coach but if you want to customize your exterior paint they do charge a small fee but if you are a florida gator fan you can make it orange um so dallas cowboy blue and white anyway lots of options you can just take out one color or you can change all you know three or four colors and it's the same price they will give you a rendition of what it will look like ahead of time too so that you can make sure that's exactly what you want but kind of a fun thing that you can do with that now i also want to mention that they put a diamond shield on the front cap of your coach to protect that beautiful front end and then you also have it around the door handle and the lock so places that you're touching a lot they want to protect that paint which is wonderful first compartment is going to be dedicated to our propane tank which is a 25 gallon propane tank if you want to get a quick connect for a grill we can easily do that for you at national and rv center so you can tailgate put the awning out set the grill up and have a great time with your friends nice storage compartment here you can see that we've got our inverter in this compartment and then we've got a lighted storage area i mentioned that this was the 3957 floor plan so for those of you that aren't familiar the first two numbers are the length of the coach so this is a 39 foot coach and the next two are the floor plan so as we step into this coach remember our front end diesel so we're going to have a midship entry into the coach and then check out the nice windows that we have throughout the coach we've got the double paned tinted windows which is really nice we've got our patio light or door light entrance light and speakers so if we've got music inside that we're enjoying and once we're camping we want to enjoy that as well we can push that out to the outdoors the next compartment doesn't have a lot of storage but i'll find something to go in there believe it or not now behind this is our freshwater tank 75 gallon freshwater tank and you'll see we've got one of our low point drains right here that drains out the bottom of the coach next up is the furnace exhaust and the first marker light for the passenger side of the coach now this bay is going to open this door opens up rather than to the side and there's a good reason for that we've got this nice storage space here central back has been added so also with newmar there's features that you can add so standard features and optional make sure you get with one of your national indoor rv lifestyle specialists to help you navigate what comes standard what comes as an option now i like the central back here because you can pull up your car next to your coach and vacuum it out or you can vacuum vacuum at your your storage space which is really nice we've got a two usb charging ports and one 110 outlet plus we've got our light for this compartment and then the coolest thing for this compartment is is our exterior tv so this is going to pull out and then drop down and there you go behind the tv you've got your radio control so you can bluetooth aux cord or use your iphone you've got a usb charger port right here with your radio and then really cool your tv does swivel so that's super important if you've got a glare of the sun that you can direct that away from that glare so that's really nice so once you've got your tv out we'll go ahead and put the awning out and hook up the grill let's party as you can see the awning especially with that extra tilt provides and gives you a ton of shade and the controls are just above the door here next up with another storage compartment now this one's kind of cool because you can see this is our black tank so the black tank is going to be 40 gallons and then our great tank is going to be 60 gallons so black tank here we've got the outlets for the tank heat pads those are going to keep your tanks from freezing in the winter then our slide room controls two 110 outlets and our light for this compartment another storage compartment and it's actually a little little teeny pass-through but you've got the extra space there if you need it to pass something through maybe fishing poles that would be great for that and it's lighted as well then we get to our rear door this is for our garage entrance to our garage it's got its own key handlebar so you can safely get in and out and steps storage here and one more storage compartment for the back of the passenger side of the coach here's our second outdoor speaker and our patio or door light for the rear engines and our rear marker light for the passenger side of the coach all right now to the fun stuff so i'm excited there's a lot to talk about here on the rear cap first of all i love the graphics looks gorgeous then we've got right the center of the top we've got our rear view camera so now word to the wise whoever is back here spotting they can hear you up front so make sure you're nice my favorite pillow is um i saw it at an rv store it said i apologize for what i said when you were backing up i know it gets kind of tense sometimes so we've got our marker lights then we've got our ladder so this will support up to 250 pounds you've got to take it off when you take the uh the back down so i'll show you how to do that super easy so let's talk about the hitch the gross trailer weight is 6 000 pounds and the tongue weight is 600 pounds then we've got our seven way here for our lights for what the trailer or whatever we're towing and again i think i mentioned this earlier but this is 340 horsepower engine sits on the freightliner chassis so now let's go ahead and let me show you how we're going to make this into our patio um i'll also let you see how you can also make it a ramp so that you can take some of your toys up into the garage if that's how you're using this space so the ladder is really easy to remove you're just going to push in here and pull out so you're just going to bend this in half and then you kind of push it down now it's locked into place so it's not going to fall back and hit you in the face we want to do that one make sure and then when you're when you're done it's best to hook those up first and then it's easy to pull that out and push it down when you're extending the ladder so now you're just going to do the same thing up here now if you're a little vertically challenged you might need some help but not to get the ladder off it's super lightweight just lifts up and then make sure you put it somewhere safe that you're not going to run it over because you know those little accidents that ruin the trip now you've got the yellow lever now if you just try to pull down on it it's not going to feel like you've unlocked the door at all so you're going to get all sweaty like i am right now it is also really hot here in las vegas i think it's supposed to be like 110 today i picked the best time to do these videos right so there's a little lever that you gotta squeeze so squeeze it you lift up and then release comes down super easy so this is the little lever that i have to squeeze otherwise that will not release you know i'm doing this in the dress so you can easily do this right in your shorts and casual wear i'm gonna pull this down and initially feels like it's sort of gonna it's coming a little fast but also it catches so it's not gonna like knock you over all right so it's a it's not gonna fall down that's for sure okay it's really not hard it's just more of a safety thing you wouldn't want it to come down any faster but you do have to use a little muscle okay so now these cables are what are going to create your patio if i was going to bring something up on into the garage like a 4x4 or a motorcycle then i will release these cables it's really easy to do i'll show you how to do that in a minute and then there's a little ramp that you put on here as well so now i'm going to go ahead and make the patio super easy so i'm going to release the patio gates here and release here at the top as well now you're just going to lift it up goes right into place then you just unsnap here and snap there roll it over and it locks into place right there this is going to be your door to your patio so that's why that's still moving so we're just going to lift up unsnap roll it over it's going to lock right in locks in now you've got your gate that will shut so you've got a great place for the kids for your furry friends um and it's that easy remember i said this is a door so i'm not jumping off here so we've got this nice set of stairs that just locks into place here and you're just going to lock it in super super easy and then just extend your steps you've got your grab bar here and there you go like i said great place to sit outside have dinner let the furry friends play outside but not get dirty same with the kids keep them locked in i love love love this feature and this comes with this eight foot garage these doors go in as easy as they came out to release it just step on that push it to the side lock it back in can't you just picture it you know having your morning coffee or your evening drink here but you might want a little bit more shade so i've got an answer to that as well so now i can extend my patio awning and really enjoy the shade the patio the outdoors i love it nice is that pretty much my whole patio now is shaded so i can take my time and just fully enjoy the outdoors and where i'm camping so now i want to take this from being a patio to ramp because i want to bring up my motorcycle okay so we're just going to unlatch this here pull it over and then pull that pin out that cable is going to go out now this can put that back in place so that i don't lose it because that's what will happen next and then go over to this side and unlatch this cable again super easy and then just hooks back into place my cables are now released and you can see we've got little bumpers here so even on this gravel i'm not going to hurt the rear cap and now it just pushes down and you can see there's an area here that goes all the way along the door that i can put those ramps in this isn't the greatest surface but you know what it's real life because sometimes you're not going to be on the greatest surface and you just put those in place and you can place them appropriate to the tire width of whatever you're bringing up but you just step and step them in and rhymes right up as i come around the rear side of the coach we've got our first marker light for the driver's side we've got our 50 amp shore power cord in here along with our rv power protection transfer switch our rv power monitor and then our cable connection here and i love that newmar always gives the nice grommets here so i can plug in my power and still securely shut off my storage compartments then we have our extra fuel pump here so this is for all of our toys we've got this toy color we want to bring them along we want to be able to fuel them here so you can do that right here and you can turn the pump on and off so you would fill right here just like you normally do at the gas station fill right there and it's tethered which is nice and you have the actual pump itself and you can cap that off as well nice storage compartment and next to it is our storage compartment for what i like to refer to as our stinky slinky so sewer hose stinky slinky i love that it's got its own separate space so that you don't you know have a rolling around in your wet bay another nice storage compartment here with the light fill for our 80 gallon diesel fuel tank then you'll see this is the exhaust for our front engine diesel and our wet bay here so let's look at everything here here's another one of our holding tanks i'm assuming that's going to be the gray tank since i think the black tape one's on the other side because it was directly below the bathroom area we've got our external shower this is great if you've been at the beach or if you're sweating like i am today you can just shower off before you go inside and just behind the shower head is the water pump we've got our freshwater tank fill here our black tank rinse and our freshwater connection remember freshwater tank is 75 gray is 60 black is 40. and we've got our low point drains here filter for our water and then over here is where we're going to connect our stinky slinky and take it out through there again seal off everything and you've got your holding tank waste water sewage and wastewater drains there your tea bars another thing that newmar does is this is a you know molded compartment here so it's going to get wet they know it's going to get wet and you can just wipe it out and you've got a drain here you can hook up your freshwater hose and bring that right through there midship marker light for the driver's side of the coach and then we're gonna go right over to our truma aquago so this is your on demand hot water system for the canyon star so you don't have like a 6 gallon tank or a 10 gallon tank actually i have on-demand hot water this is great so i'm just going to show you a few little things in here you just lift up and then it drops down now if you want to winterize your coats or coach or decalcify it you would do that here and there's instructions and i'm not going to go into that today but right here is what you need to know about as far as the outside the coach you have on off on you just need to make sure so that you can control it from inside the coach that you either have it on and you can hit the button up or you can hit the button down center is off if it's off out here you can't turn it on inside so just make sure you have it on and then you can control it fully from inside the coach and then i'll talk a little bit more about that when we get inside so then again just fit it right in close it up good to go more storage and you can see the back side of your fresh water tank just a little bit so you kind of saw the front side on the other side most people imagine the the holding tanks that they're the big squares but they really make them fit into the each floor plan so it may be thicker at one point and then it thins out as it comes over on this side so it's just interesting because it wasn't when i saw a holding tank outside of the coach it wasn't what i imagined it would look like more storage here our 8 000 watt onan generator and right here you can start and stop your generator from here if you happen to trip the breaker that's where you would reset it you've got your servicing ports here and then you have your hours there our battery compartment here and our 10 gallon def tank which is our diesel exhaust fluid diesel exhaust fluid does not like heat or sun um it also has an expiration date so uh it's good for about a year so think about if you're buying from walmart or from a service station that you check the expiration date and then just keep track of how long you've had that to service your batteries it's very easy you've got pins here on both sides pull those pins out and you can access those batteries much easier so just above our house batteries we have our chassis batteries and you can see that we've got our disconnect which is very important if we are not lucky enough to have you as one of our storage customers at one of our locations where we store at least 300 coaches fully indoors plugged into 50 amp or 30 amp service at all times whatever they need and full valet service so all you have to do give us a call let us know you want to come and pick up your coach we will air up the tires to your specifications or to manufacturer specifications and fill up your fresh water tank you drive up pick up your coach and hit the road all right lastly we have our exhaust for our generator we've got our window here for the driver our mirrors and our side view camera for the left side of the coach when we turn on that left blinker turn signal we're going to see all the way down the left side of the coach so here at the front cap i wanted to let you know what's behind that front cap so remember this is our front engine diesel we've got tucked away up here is our windshield wiper fluid in front we've got the air conditioning condenser and then behind it we've got the radiator up top is our transmission oil dipstick and fill our oil dipstick and our engine oil fill our coolant fill and over here to the side is our engine air reminder when the yellow line gets to the red it's time it's time to change your air filter all right now for the fun stuff let's go check out the inside [Music] okay fire extinguisher make sure you check out my video on protang it's our fire suppression system that nirvc sells exclusively and you can totally customize it to your coach big or small so inside the coach first thing i want you to note is that the first step down into the stairwell is a huge storage compartment i love having that when you first step into the coach in case you have muddy shoes you wanna you know not you don't want to bring into the coach or if you want to put the dog's collar or dog food there anyway it's nice to have that little spot or some handy tools i love that then when you step in you've got the nice screen door on the screen door we have this great blackout shade couldn't get any easier than that right so just up and down love that the handlebar when you walk in and then we've also got a little courtesy light and i'll show you where that the knob is for that in a second courtesy light and then right here so when you're outside if you want to flip on all your lights you can leave your lights on in the cargo bay and turn them all on all off right there furnace and then we've got our fire fire extinguisher now make sure you check out my video on protang it's our fire suppression system that nirvc sells exclusively and you can totally customize it to your coach big or small just above the door we have a lot of controls so the first thing we have is the power control system this is going to let you know what kind of service we currently have we have 50 amp service because we're plugged in it will also shut the load so if i am running three ac units because you have three in this you have two in the house and one in the garage if it's over tasking the system it will shut the load and drop off and shut down one of those ac's next is our xantrax inverter below that we have our off door slide out in and out and our door slide out in and out here's the truma aquago controller so it's in the off position remember it has to be turned on outside we can turn it to comfort mode this is where you can get your continuous hot water and then eco mode is going to be just for those quick washes you you may just keep it on eco if you just know you want to have hot water at the sink for a second when you wash your hands but you don't really need the continuous hot water all the time then you can go back down this is going to be your winterization mode and this is your clean mode make sure you don't go to clean unless you mean to because it cycles the whole system and it takes a couple of hours so um that's really easy to control over here we've got our battery disconnect this is for the house batteries so you can hit that on or off when you come into the coach if you're leaving and and you don't want that on very easy to hit that off and then when you come back hit it back on this is your step or your power step button so once i'm camping i don't want that step to go in and out every time i open the door so when i get to the camping spot and go ahead and power the step off so that it just stays out then we have our over-the-air antenna so i can turn that on it's going to lock into local stations and this is the control for our carefree awning ex retract and extend and on and off is for the lights on the awning and then this is our block heater where we can turn it on and off if it is plugged in so i want to go over some of the storage that we have in this coach as i walk over here i do want to mention that we've got the mcd day and night shades i like to do both the day and the night shade because i think it gives you that little bit of extra layer of insulation you want to keep the cool in in the summer and the heat in in the winter so anything i can do to help also numero builds a really nice coach as far as insulation your walls are about two and a half inches thick they use aluminum framing 16 inch on center with insulation in between those 16 inch frames so they do a great job it's nice and quiet in here and the temperature maintains itself really nicely then we've got storage above and the optional overhead tv this is 43 inch samsung tv now this is an optional item there's lots of items that i pointed out that are option not standard so just so you know you need to talk to one of our rv lifestyle specialists to make sure you know it comes standard and optional don't assume because you saw it in this video that it comes standard for example the rear ladder is not standard that's an option the exterior tv is an option uh the central vac is an option and i'll try to point out some of those things but really to get the full idea call your rv lifestyle specialist at national end rv center and we can walk you through that more storage above here and we've added the wi-fi ranger which is the everest edition and we've got two 110 outlets that are available welcome to the beautiful living room of the 3957 canyon star so this is the moab interior with the bermuda maple glazed hardwood and that is with the matte finish and i think it's beautiful furniture is by williamsburg you'll notice it has little feet on it different little details that i try to make it look very residential so as we go over the dinette here this is nice your dinette is on the patio side we've got our big t tell tv on the televator so 50 inch samsung tv and just above that we've got the sound bar for that and we have our av compartment where you can hook in a satellite uh you know your gaming system if you want to attach that here you've got the hdmi cable and three available 110 outlets in that compartment bar above you've got your remotes for your tv and more storage here with additional remotes for your overhead tv just to the side of the tv and your nice big window you've got the multiplex lighting system which is going to be for your ceiling area here at the dinette your accent your backlight you can turn that panel on and off if you want and then you can also make it dimmable if you'd like and to the other side of the tv we have two 110 outlets this beautiful booth is super super comfy so you can see there's plenty of legroom and nice you know plenty room for eating and there's a nice amount of space between myself and the table too so it will easily sleep for people and then this will also make into a bed before i do that i just want to show you that you have storage under both seats of the booth and you will have a seat belt in this forward-facing booth and you'll see that as i make the bed so to make the bed i'm going to remove these cushions and you'll see that there are no seat belts on this booth dinette you will have seat belts on this sofa though so then you just want to bring the table down there's a lever here push that over and then the table just easily pushes into place put your cushions back in and you're place gonna wedge this in here i usually raise one of the cushions and then put it down together so that it's a nice tight fit and a nice little sleeping space for two small children or one child or one maybe shorter adult on an angle but hey it's extra sleepy and as we move into the living room check out the overhead storage that's nice and deep storage i can i can touch the back of it but it's nice and deep you've got lots of space in there and then you also have this little storage here next to the um sofa and i always like that you have a place to put your drink too now we've optioned in this incliner sofa is what they call it so let me show you how that works so get all comfy and then you just reach down between the seats and there's a little lever that you can pull so you have the foot rest on both ends so nice and comfy and then right behind me is the controller for the tv so if i want to go ahead and put that down i'm going to hit that button and the tv is going to disappear and now i can open up my shades and see the beautiful camp that i'm in you can also do the backlight turn off that panel two 110 outlets and then just let me tell you on these sofas that kick out we have lots of people that try to force this down all you need to do is take your foot you kind of tuck it back and pull that foot rest back a little bit it goes right back in can't tell you how many rv shows that i've been to where people can't get those to go back so they force them and break them but again really nice finish on this on the sofa very very comfortable and we have the big window behind us so once you're at the campground and you open up all these windows you can have nice cross breeze you go to see the beautiful outdoors you can really enjoy the campsite that you are in over on this side of the sofa we've got more lighting controls or seating our reading lights which are right above the sofa there and our accent lights are dimmable lights we can dim those as well the kitchen overhead lights the seating lights we could back light we can turn these panels off and the water pump and then two 110 outlets just below the cabinet we've got our first thermistor for the coach so that's going to communicate with the thermostat to keep the temperature nice and comfortable in your coach moving into the kitchen more storage here look at that nice big shelf there adjustable shelves so if you've got like a insta pot that's taller you can take out that shelf completely if you want now i do love that we have a lot of counter space here and that's because we've got these nice sink covers so you can easily take those out store them below we've got a nice compartment here and then you've got the double bowl stainless steel sink with the residential faucets pulls out really nice just below the countertop you've got two 110 outlets to the side and then one here in the center led lighting that gives you lots of light and then this is another feature that we have optioned in the induction cooktop stove so this is really nice you have to use pans that a magnet will attach to for it to work on the induction cooktop another cool thing about this is that if you're in a beautiful campground and you want to cook outdoors you can just lift that out unplug it and plug it in outside do all your cooking outside if you like just above the induction cooktop we have our convection microwave oven little handle is right here to the side don't be afraid to take your biscuits your cookies your bread in this i have one of my customers that makes the most beautiful loaf of bread every day for she and her husband they like to share that too so storage below we've got a space for our garbage can here which is really handy because it's close to the living room and the kitchen big space here with the drop flip down for the sponges and brushes then we've got our full extension drawers four of them and they are soft clothes soft clothes on the canyon star another big big drawer here and it's soft clothes soft close this way you can see how deep these are and how full extension all of these are exactly the same too this one's a little bit deeper but really nice storage in the kitchen then right across from the kitchen we've got a great pantry look at that plenty of room for all your food oh and i didn't want to miss this this is your dustpan it goes along with your central vac so you can sweep everything over to your dustpan just hit that it's going to suck it all away and just around the corner from that is your central back so you can plug in the hose there and vacuum out your whole coach then just above that we've got our patio light that's going to give us our little courtesy light in the stairwell and outside the door and then we've got our ceiling lights our bathroom lights bedroom lights accent lights we can dim those lights all right here on this multiplex lighting system we also optioned in the residential refrigerator freezer with the ice maker oh that that really feels good on this hot hot day that refrigerator feels nice and you can see that we've got a nice drawer here below for some of those cookie sheets and stuff right there and we have a lock so you want to make sure you hit your travel lock i have a checklist that i look at before i hit the road if you want a copy of my checklist just email me at angie nirvc dot com just be on the refrigerator freezer we have another pantry now these shelves are locking shelves so a lot of times people will try to pull you just have to push a little and pull out but these are really nice because you can get to the very back of your shelf easily right across from the pantry in the refrigerator we have our new control panel isn't that beautiful i love these kind of things so we have our home button here it's going to give us a date and time and then our water pump we can turn that on right here it's going to give us the level of our house and chassis batteries our fresh water tank is 90 full gray's empty black's empty our gas tank our propane tank is empty and then we can have control all of the lights this is probably one of my favorite functions right here because we can do all lights off all lights on in the kitchen bedroom bathroom and then master so that's really nice and you also have the tv left and the tv lift down there as well then we go to our auto genstart so we can go to setup menu here we can set when we want the generator to run we can set quiet hours can also go to our house batteries once it goes below 12 volts it's going to kick on and we can decide how long we want it to charge same for the chassis batteries and we can decide the duration and at what voltage we want it to start charging at hvac so right now it's off to turn it on you just hit the power button here here come right on we love that turn it off and you can set the temperature easily up and down and then which mode and your fan speed so you can do that for the living room area and the bedroom area you do have two 15m penguin ac units with the heat pump inside the coach and then you have the 13.5 ac out in the garage so that is controlled outdoors then we go to our light control so lighting controls so for the outdoor garage area we can do those lights here living room kitchen bath bedroom and again all the lights on buttons for each of those locate or for the living room bedroom bathroom and master all lights off all lights on i love that feature because so many times you're like did i turn off all the lights well this is easy you can just hit it as you leave or come into the coach and turn everything on just below our control panel here we have the fantastic vent fan for the kitchen area we also have a fantastic vent in the bathroom let's head into the bathroom midship for the canyon star nice full-length mirror on the door so you can check out your outfit which is nice then when you walk inside fantastic fan and we've got the control here right on the wall and then we've got our multiplex lighting which is your ceiling your vanity water pump the backlight and the dimple light storage above now this is our breaker box and our fuse panel again newmar always gives you the extra fuses which is really nice and then your little uh list of what those fuses go to so it's very nicely organized storage towel holder i like that and then we have big medicine cabinet behind the mirror and you'll notice we have really fun accent lighting just below the medicine cabinet we've got the two 110 outlets nice counter space with the solid surface top stainless steel steel rectangle sink and the residential faucets more storage below our toilet and we've got the push the pedal controls toilet paper holder here to the side then we have our shower so you'll notice that as i pull this apart it has a magnetic strip that goes down both sides of the door so it really seals off nicely i'm going to step in here so you can see how big it is and i've got the skylight here so extra height there and then i've got the um hat the fixed shower head and the handheld just nice little spot for your soap and then you can see once i shut that it goes together nice and tight and you've got your travel lock welcome to the beautiful master bedroom at the 3957 you'll notice that we have a king-sized bed so that's a really nice feature in this 39-foot coach and if you need a little me time get away from the crowd you can just you push down the door here you can totally close yourself off from the rest of the kitchen and family room as you walk into the bedroom again you're going to have a nice big headboard there you've got windows on both sides of the bed so you can open those up for cross ventilation we've got storage underneath the bed i've got the extra cushion for the dinette sleeper and we have optioned in the sleep number bed on this king-size bed so again those options versus standard just give us a call we'll walk you through it we've got great storage above the bed here and each side of the bed has a nightstand on that nightstand you have two usb charging ports and a 110 outlet and little cubby below and i want you to notice how much space there is i can get a full fist in between the wall and the bed so they've given us that extra space so it makes our beds easier to make so i really appreciate that we have storage above on this side as well and we've got two 110 outlets that are free in the cabinet above and we have led reading lights so i'm just going to hop on the bed here because we've got some multiplex lighting panels here we've got our accent lights our right reading light and our left reading light the backlit so especially when you're sleeping here you don't want that blue light on so you can just click that until the panel goes off and then you have the all lights off so this is great if you're not sure if you turned everything off you can do it right here our ceiling lights are courtesy lights those are really nice if you need the little light to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night you can hit that on and then you can high low your lights dim your lights if you'd like as i'm laying here i notice on the ceiling we've got the carbon monoxide detector and then we have our speakers overhead here so we can put some music back in the bedroom how nice speaking of speakers here are the controls for those and our thermistor for the bedroom and notice the beautiful wall art love that so a lot of little extras in the canyon star now we can head over here to the bedroom again optional tv for the bedroom samsung i believe that is the 32 inch tv on the side here we've got our slide out control for the bedroom slide in and out another light panel so our ceiling kitchen living room dresser accent lights and our dimmable lights another nice window and that is our emergency egress window just below that we've got the av cabinet we've got the remote for our sleep number bed again we can hook in our cable here we've got our hdmi if we want to add gaming system or dvd four available 110 outlets and then we have five nice big deep drawers again these are soft clothes as well and this way you can see the size and depth of those and the extensions they come out nice and far too so and big wardrobe with adjustable shelves and a hanging bar so if you don't want to use the shelves go ahead and take those out completely or just take one out if you've just got shirts you also have one available 110 outlet some people like to keep a little handy like vacuum plugged into their closet they can just sit around and get little messes up easily you can do that there all right so now we have one thing left you saw a little a little bit about earlier but let's go into the garage and i'll show you what we have available for us there what we've optioned in i think you're gonna like it welcome to the eight foot garage so this can serve a lot of purposes it can be your office it can be the bunk room it can be your dinette it can just be for the toys so if you want to bring around your motorcycles four by fours you can do that easily here let me tell you about some of the things that we've optioned into this location here so we've optioned in the tv and i'm going to get back up on the step here so i can get to the storage compartment storage above here storage and your electrical box here and then we've got the 32 inch optional samsung tv below that storage and we've got a little remote control that's for an optional power screen and i'll show you that in a second but you can screen off this garage so you want to sleep out here you don't want the bugs you can just do the power screen which is really nice extra d rings entertainment center here so dvds radios aux input you got it all right there now over here we've got the awning in about out button that's for our patio awning this is our patio light it's going to give us light in the back of the garage and outside the door here our dinette light will light up once we bring um the dinette down fuel pump you need to have this on so that you can pump fuel from the outside this is our light that will come on once we bring the bunk down and step this is where we can power out this door so i can go ahead and open up this you can see that the step automatically comes out once i'm camping i want it to stay out i don't want it to come in and out every time i open that door so i'm going to go ahead and hit that step button now when i shut the door and open it the step stays in place again you've got the nice grab bar so you go in and out of the garage area which is really nice right below the cabinet we've got our fantastic vent here so we can control that speed up and down we've got ac in the um garage here here's your control panel our ceiling light you can dim that and the bed lift so i'll show you how that works here in a second your garage load capacity is a thousand pounds so make sure you pay attention to that you're not gonna get your little smart car in here probably because maybe too long and it's probably gonna wait too much you got d-rings three three racks of d-rings basically we've got extra ones in here and then we've got the two 110 outlet on this side of the garage and two 110 on that side of the garage now in this corner of the garage behind this panel we have option in the prep for a washer and dryer so if you want to have that here in your coach that was something they used to add at the in the canyon stars and they took them out for a while but they do offer the prep and we've added that and just below me here is the ladder that's going to be for the bunk beds we've got windows behind here so you can just snap those on to black black out that area but you can also open them for air if you'd like there is a lock on the bed and it helps if you're a little bit taller but you just put your finger up here to push it and release it and you'll hear it unlock it will click and you have to do that at all four corners otherwise your bunk bed will stay up top i'm gonna go ahead and bring them both down together and just kind of demo what they will do so i'm gonna bring them down so typically i would keep my tabletop stored on top of my bunk and the legs for my tabletop stored on top of my butt now we're going to get to a point where the bunk is going to stop and then that dinette will continue to go down okay so i'm going to move the tabletop again i would normally store that on the bed i'm going to put that over here so you can see you can have a bed here for one adult or two adults if you want to go you know head to legs however that works and a nice bunk here and again with some additional storage space here and then we've got the ladder that we can just hook in here so you can easily get up here nice thing you've got the ac unit you've got windows and another thing i wanted to point out is you may have seen these vents from the outside but this is for ventilation and say you bring in a 4x4 and you need to let some of those gases out push this to the side and you open it up and then that's another ventilation for the garage you've got one up top on the driver's side one down below on the passenger side you've got windows up here and you can open those windows for more ventilation as well for your sleepers and then we've got the power screen so that's going to go down give me a nice screened-in bedroom and you can almost sleep underneath the stars without any bugs now i want to show you how easily this makes into a bench just folds back you've got a little extra leg there for support when it's down as a bed so now go ahead and grab my table legs you can see that they've got the little three prong here and turn it turn it and then you just tighten it down grab your tabletop there we go barely broke a sweat [Laughter] this is a great way obviously we would have the bunk bed up if we were using it as a dinette i'd have the screen porch down i probably have the patio open but it just gives you lots of different options for this garage space i always like to show the coach with the slides in so on the 3957 you can easily get to your master bed you can sleep in it easily if you needed to without taking the slides out you can also get to pantry items into your refrigerator obviously you want to make sure you can get into your bathroom so easily get into the bathroom you could even be working prepping food have the food in the crock pot when the things i do in my rv in 101 series and i share a little recipe lots of room here and then it does get a little narrow here at the front but you can get through easily so finally to the cockpit area of the canyon stars so first of all i'm getting my seat all comfy we've got the six-way powered seats so forward backwards up and down really nice and comfy now this lever here is going to allow me to rotate my chair once we're camping i can add two more chairs to the living room area with my captain's chairs so that's really nice this lever here just controls the backrest so i can put that back especially once i have it turned around i'll probably want to lean that back a little bit more now one thing you have to be careful of if you're new to rving when you bring your slides room slide rooms in you have to make sure that your chairs are forward enough that those slide rooms don't hit them because they will take a chair right off the ground it's it's bad it will bend them so we're to the wise just a little hint there now let's go ahead and go over the panel over here to my left so here is our equalizer system that's our hydraulic leveling system and you can also download the eq smart level app onto your phone and you can do the whole leveling process from your phone versus this panel here to do the leveling it's very easy you just turn on the power it will let you know that it's operating or if it's low voltage if you get a red dot here with excessive slope it means that you're not going to be able to level and you're going to maybe need to adjust where you have your coach and then try to level again now if it doesn't level for the second time you probably don't want to cycle that again right away you probably want to let it rest 20 minutes maybe you want to find another camping spot or adjust it just again but give it about 20 minutes to rest just so you don't burn up that pump going up and down as they try to work once you have everything on and you've engaged the park brake you want to hit auto level once you have four solid red lights in all these corners you are level and you go ahead and turn off the coach when you're ready to leave on your vacation you're gonna hit retract all and it will bring up all the jacks and then you can power the system off and you're ready to go then you've got your cup holder just beyond that we've got a spot where we can store our phone while we're driving and that is important because as you can see i've got my phone plugged in and i've got it plugged into this port here that says usb and auxiliary inputs so standard now for 2023 canyon stars is you have apple carplay and android auto so i'll show you how that works in just a minute let me go ahead and put my phone right there so just so you know that is not a charging pad just a spot where you can put your phone easily right here we have the power window button again that's an optional feature so it doesn't come standard but that's a power window and then below that we've got our usb and auxiliary inputs that's going to be your apple carplay input and then just below it you've got your two usb charging ports a little storage space there we've got the t-bar so we can pull that to release the front cap so we can see the engine compartment at the front of the coach we have our parking brake here pull to apply push to release and then let's move up here so here's our defrost button for our exterior mirrors and we can adjust them here our exhaust break we can throw that on and off here our icc those are kind of our buttons where we can if a trucker's train has passed us and wants to move back into our lane we can flick that once to let them know that it's safe to move in if we have passed a trucker and they've given us the one light to let us know that we can go in we can hit that three times to say thank you it's just kind of flashing your marker lights here are our windshield wipers and turn them on and then you can go faster or slower and if you want to wash your windshield you would push that right there your fog lights and your headlights adjust the steering column you're just going to touch the little pedal here and pull that down until you get to where it's comfortable for you i kind of like it sitting in my lap or some people like to drive like a bus you can do it either way um but adjust that to your liking we've got the paddle here so this is where we're going to turn on our cruise control and you just simply turn it on right there you'll see the little cruise control light come on in your dash and then you'll just push the button in to set it now you can also this is going to be your turn signal and it's also where you can flash your headlights also down below pull out the metal right here those are your hazards one of those things that makes me laugh because someone always does this at an rv show and then they don't know how to turn it off let me show you the trick turn on your turn signal and turn it off hazards go off and your turn signal goes off here at the dash you can scroll through some engine information so your temperature fuel level your load you can also get to your trip information so lots of different information here trip one trip two so oil pressure all that good stuff right here at your fingertips on the dash so here are two display monitors so we've got our radio media center xm bluetooth hdmi aux camera control apple carplay nav and setup so i want to go over apple car play because that's a new standard feature for 2023 as i said so you can go here you have everything that's on your phone here you can go to your music if you want play your music go back go to maps messages uh google that's what i like to use and you can put in your address and use this right here which is always updated so i really like that go back to your menu now from here you can swipe and see more of your apps iheartradio your audiobooks audible ways different different ever whatever you want to use and then you kind of go to your quick page here so you have your music you have your maps i'm going to go into google maps because that's what i prefer right here you can go up to your search and then you can do restaurants grocery stores rest stops gas station whatever is important or go to the keyboard and then type that in and then you can just cancel that and go back to your menu if you go to house mode this is where you can send your music outside if you want also you can go to your camera control and now you can control which view you're going to see on your camera you can see obviously we are inside a building so even your hitch view you can change so i'm going to take it back to regular view here and then over here you can brighten or dim your picture and you can turn that on or off down below the display screens we've got our buttons here we've got our overhead fans if you want to defrost that windshield quickly you can do it on high or low when we can brighten or dim our front screens our dome light is right above the captain's chair visor is my day shade for my front windshield and the shade is the nightshade battery boost super important button if you come back to your coach and your batteries are dead uh you want to push that battery boost button what you're going to be doing is tying your chassis and your house batteries together hopefully enough to get enough power that you can then start your generator let that run for a little bit and then start your ignition you can start your generator right here so you can start it right here you can turn it off on the auto gym start panel on the control panel in the back of midship of the coach and you can also start your generator at the generator itself then we've got our hbac controls here so our fan control and if you want to recirculate cold cold and hot and then where you want that air flow directed nice little storage compartment here and here you've got access to your engine for technician at nirvc on the passenger side just as comfortable of the chair over here and we've got pretty much the same controls we've got our power and up and down and we can pull that lever to turn the chair around our arm rest to make it nice and comfy over here this is a cool little feature so this just pushes in and out this is basically for an ipad or a you know your reading tablet whatever you like to use but you can adjust that and move that around if you don't want to use it you can just tuck away and put it in your storage area down below little cubby for storage two usb ports cup holder our map light so the right map the light right above me and then we've got a wireless charging pad for your cell phone right behind this two usb ports a 110 outlet and our propane alarm all right so let's take the canyon star for a test drive a couple of things again this is a front engine diesel so it's a little bit different than most your class a diesel drive because most time those tires are behind you tires are more in front of you sort of like your car or a truck so it's very easy to drive no reason to be nervous about that at all um i may even do like a really tight turn out there on our test drive and see how it handles um it has a 53 degree front wheel cut on this coach and another feature that i want to show you before we head out it has an electric window so that's really nice when you need to talk to someone outside if you've got a spotter that needs to tell you something you can't hear from the camera just better to have that verbal communication eye contact and hear them that's nice and for toe windows as well so nice little feature buckle up let's it get ready to go all right so here we go we're on our test drive of the canyon star 39 57 and there's quite a bit of traffic so you'll see me uh paying really close attention here class a diesels are a ton of fun to drive you just have to get out there and try it so one of the things i always tell new drivers is you need to hug the left side of the lane that you're driving in now right now i've got lots of traffic i've got construction to the right of me so typically i would probably go into the center lane just because i don't like being that close to the construction but even in the center lane whatever lane i'm in you want to hug that left side everything bad happens on the right side i promise you and semis kind of respect that too they do the same thing now i've set my cruise control it's real easy i just flip the little knob over here and then set it so i'm going 50 miles per hour that's good for me right now in fact i might even increase that just a little bit and uh you can see it's nice and quiet um there's a little bit more noise with the front engine diesel i'm not going to lie if if i didn't tell you that you would not believe me on everything else that i say and i really try to give a a realistic review of the coach so of course when you're in a diesel pusher it's going to be quieter because your engines in the back the gas coach is going to be a little bit noisier and the front-end diesel has a little bit more noise to it but you can see it drives really nice is that semi just passed us i'm going 55 right now didn't fill a thing um the nice day here in las vegas other than it is a hot one so um but literally once you get out on the road you set your cruise control uh and i can feel a little wind now as we're driving the lawn care um but really they are not hard to drive just you know look straight ahead and that's really how you uh set yourself in your lane because if you try to just initially you don't feel like you're gonna fit in your lane but you absolutely will you just kind of look straight ahead your mirrors are your saving grace and i say that to everyone even when you have a camera system like a lot of the couches now you can opt in a 360 camera even when i have that 360 camera my mirrors are what i look for in a second here i'm going to change lanes and i'll let you see what happens when i turn on that blinker you can see it is a busy busy day out here in vegas so once i get over here i'm going to go ahead and turn on my right signal you can see that the screen changes i can see that i'm clear i'm going to double check my mirrors because i always do that i love the camera systems but i'm old school i like to check both so great day to drive here and this freightliner chassis it feels nice and solid again you saw those semis pass me i didn't move i didn't scoot i know i've had customers tell me that feel a little bit of that in the gas coach because your chassis isn't quite as happy but really nice riding and again you've got the big windshield so you know i'm heading towards the mountains i've got a beautiful view it's just a great way to travel you get to sleep in your own bed at night you get to cook your own meal because believe me i'm on the road a lot and it's hard to eat healthy when you're eating at a restaurant every meal not that you know it's not bad i don't miss preparing but sometimes it's just nice to you know make your own dinner any eat at your own table and then relax and enjoy the beautiful campsite that you're at i was hitting the road today i'd be heading to zion's beautiful park price the arches so many beautiful national parks and see things to see in our awesome country if you've driven with me before on my test drives i always like to do the decibel reader and we are at 68.9 so again a little bit louder than your class a diesels that are pushers but really not bad you will definitely hear it when you're revving up to speed i probably didn't say that right but oh well you know what i mean definitely louder but once you're on the road and traveling and literally i've got my cruise control set foot's off the pedal now i'm just enjoying this now one of the things that uh i always wanted to tell people there's a lot of semis on this road as you can see but you'll notice when they go by me it's not any louder inside here than when they're not by me and then also you never want to follow a semi too closely you really don't want to follow anything too closely because you have this huge windshield in front of you and you don't want to take a rock to it and ship it so you know just a little driving tips uh again if you want to know more things about rving and camping in
