hello viewers welcome to jsn rs solution youtube channel today is the second part of land use and land cover chains prediction series tutorial today's video about variables preparation for land user land cover chains prediction you know variables like distance from road distance from streams elevation slope and so on are needed for predicting future land use and land cover chains in the first part of this t-series uh i have showed you how to prepare land use and land cover map using teresa software so if you did not watch that video yet then you can check it out in the channel uh anyway now let's learn about variables preparation using arcgis [Music] [Music] so here is my road spectral layer then reverse and then them [Music] so this is the damn data you can change the color [Music] you can see over here the highest bill is 21 and the lowest value is -4 [Music] so first i'm going to show you how to prepare uh distance from road so for that go to a special analyze tools and then distance and then euclidean distance the click on this then you will get this window and euclidean distance input raster or feature source data so at roads as input raster and then output distance raster i mean output file so you can save your output file uh in a folder in your pc so i'm going to give it a name as distance from roads and then click okay so distance from roads uh have been done you can reclassify uh this raster so for that uh you can go to search box and search reclassify and then you will uh get this you can reclassify it uh as per your preferences like one to five classes all as your wish anyway then reverse this process is same as distance from road so input asterisk reverse and then output file so i'm going to give it a name distance from reverse and then save and then uh okay so distance from river also has been done so we got distance from river and distance from roads and now dam uh so now i'm going to show you how to prepare a slope map so for that uh go to a special analyze tools and then surface and then slope so input raster dam then choose a folder where you want to save your output file then name it so i'm going to name it slope on then output measurement uh here two options you can see so then okay so our slope map has been done [Music] so actually this is the process that you can follow uh to make other uh map like aspect contour so for them you can classify uh as many classes as you want so i'm going to classify as 10 classes as like distance from roads and distance from river [Music] [Music] one thing that you have to be careful uh i mean all maps uh should be the same geographical extent same special reference same dimension for all maps like variables and llc suppose uh if i go to the layer properties of lucy map then you can see over here the x resolution and y resolution i mean the pixel size is 30 30. so your variables map special size must be same and now uh if you want to add these variables map into the tester software as dataset has a different format so for that uh you have to convert raster to sa format so for that go to search box and then write raster to say and then you will get this window sorry then you will get the this that option and click to raster to say conversion then raster to sa so input raster distance from root and output sci raster file so save your output so actually this is the process to convert raster to a ci file you have to do this because uh you have to add this file into the transact software so then go to data software and then go to file and then import and then software specific format sd formats and then r raster then arc infrastructure is a format to address so input file go to the folder where you have saved your uh raster to sc format so this is my file so open this file then name the output file then output reference information so you have to do that the reference system must be same here go to program file then as my map has lies in utm 46 north so i'm selecting this one then okay then okay so here is the distance from rhodes map has been added to tetra software this is the simple process to prepare variables map and then add in the third set software uh there are some others like uh multicriteria evaluation that you can do however hope following this tutorial you can easily make variables map in the next video i mean the third part of this series i will show you a land use and land cover change detection and future prediction of flanders and land cover chains and till then stay safe and happy and thank you for watching and thank you for being with us
