related to a lot of lore heavy games like the remedy verse Psychonauts and stuff like that but today we are playing Allan Wake 2 into chapter 2 where we left off so um while I was trying to sleep I'm running on like four hours right now I kind of decided that each of these streams we're going to break them up into each individual chapter so we're going to stream one chapter I'll take a break and get started so I sat down and talked to to some of my people regarding chapter 1 CU we were kind of been chatting about it half the morning and half of last night after the stream ended and I have some notes for you guys about things that I did want to bring up that I may have either missed or I did extra research on so before we start this we're going to be doing this so um I made the question before because we found a book in the diner storage closet but yes we do confirm um hold on let me walk over here real quick so the father is still in the picture and during the call when they're talking about night Springs she was uh watching the episode with her dad so we know that's the case we're good there um there was some documentation about someone tracking a mysterious light and looking for him some people have suggested that might have actually been clay stward leaving that behind and he's searching for whatever is going on over there but a big thing I wanted to bring up that I noticed myself is that all of the victims so far have been people who went missing in 2010 so let's go to The Cauldron Lake murder no cauldron Lake murders hold on cauldron Lake cult to the tree no cult to the tree cauldron like murders okay so these three have been were victims that disappeared in 2010 and then uh agent Knight and G vanished in 2010 as well one thing that I find interesting that can get into the whole morality aspect of this is Allan is not creating new victims he's recycling old victims that died 13 years ago so he's so the story this story is not causing new people to get killed as of yet it's only basically secondary referencing people that were previously harmed in the first departure manuscript so that gets into a little bit of uh better morality on this one now that he knows what he's doing also guys um I think I figured out the audio issue so I went into the PS5 settings and turned up the headphones audio so hopefully that fixed the problem let me know if the audio still needs a little bit of tweaking but it's a lot uh higher than it was last time all right let me see what else we got in here oh one thing I did want to bring up too about uh saga's profiling techniques so if anyone's unaware Saga is the name of a Nordic goddess and the name literally means story or storytelling makes sense but she was also described as a sear of the Gods so having the uh ESP would go perfectly along with the Goddess that she's named after which is freaking cool let me see I'm just looking through my notepad of all the stuff I wanted to talk about oh yeah so the cult of the tree when they were uh ritualistically ripping night and Gill Park they did have a tripod there with a camera that was missing so the question would be okay why were they recording it and I have no idea the cold of the tree is Behind These murders this case just became much more complicated I'll need to start a new file but it's my first cult case exciting yeah exactly crime books of Alan Wake the cult was copycatting the murders from the books in their heads they were performing a ritual to bring wake back their imagined profit after that case I started looking or whatever it happens to be there's technically three methods of Escape there's the flight which is going to be stuff like the story of um like uh Izanagi for example when he went down to try to reclaim his wife and he was Rush he had to run out after witnessing your true form um there's the free pass through the threshold the return threshold but there's also a third one where the hero cannot escape the other world without outside assistance the rescue from without so I'm curious if we're doing the return manuscript and it's Saga who's going to be the one who's essentially the that was manufactured out of the darkness based upon the false stories told about the man yeah and he was supposed to been stalking Alice um back in what 2018 2019 cuz I think she was there in or
