Loaded With an Oversized Load and Couldn’t move for Hours! $4+ RPM | Non CDL Hotshot Trucking

uh welcome back y'all good morning man i feel great man i just got off my reset so i'm getting ready to start my week if you're new to the channel guys my name is tim i recently became a over-the-road hotshot driver with my 2020 ram 2500 and a 32 foot pj trailer straight deck been on the road for about three weeks this is my fourth but it's going to be a short week um today's monday the 8th i'm going to end it back home in houston on the 10th i got to get back to houston and be with my wife for a week we've got to go take care of a few things she's got a surgery on friday so i'm gonna go home and be there with her then i go back out the following wednesday for about another three weeks in this video man i'm just going to show you guys this oversized load that i'm doing it is going from spartanburg south carolina to aberdeen mississippi which is about 441 miles i had some deadhead to get here from my last drop which was in north carolina so that was about 176 miles so initially without the deadhead the rate would have been about four dollars and 53 cents per mile but adding in my deadhead it brings it down to about three dollars and 24 cents it's paying two thousand dollars uh for 441 miles still a great uh rate per mile picking up four metal cylinders i believe they're about 10 feet wide that's going to be you know off of the off of the trailer so it's a wide load i am waiting on my dispatcher though to get me the permits for four states that we'll be going through we're gonna have to follow four special routes in each state but yeah other than that man it's been a great experience so far um i'm enjoying it it is a bit tiring but you know you if you are too tired you just get off of the road man right now i'm just at a truck wash waiting to get this truck wash man it is filthy third in line yesterday i made an appointment for a mobile detailer to come by they never showed up so i said look man i can't go any further with this truck looking the way it looks so as i wait i'm just gonna go ahead and get this done y'all stay tuned man um after this i should be heading to the pickup location to go ahead and pick up the oversized load get it um secured and we'll get moving so i'll see y'all in a few [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] all right y'all just got head to this pickup man pick up these metal cylinders these boards are ready to go so let's hop out and get to it all right boys we getting loaded man they're going to shift it around for me it is a uh i guess it's 10 by 10 wide trying to figure out the best place to put it on the trailer he gonna turn it around for me because at the bottom of it it has it's sitting on a pallet and i'd rather the pallet boards going along this side of that makes sense versus sitting at the edge like this so he's gonna try to rearrange it for me real quick [Music] all right come back out all right now if you can do the same [Music] yeah [Music] this is what the load looked like yeah oh no this side look like it's a little love huh it's funny that all of that weight sits on just that pallet man that that kind of worries me i'm trying to have a move it to get the wide load kind of even on each side that's just gonna slide i want to say that looks good all right y'all so completely done uh securing the load this one was rather easy i would say only use my straps this is what it looks like i got my flags got my sign up it's a rather easy load man i'm pretty happy with it and we ready to go [Music] food [Music] all right child i'm out the door currently just waiting on one more permit which is a south carolina permit i got to get a south carolina permit uh georgia alabama and mississippi uh so i'm pretty much just kind of waiting on the last one which is south carolina which is where i'm at so i can't really move to get my special route but i'm ready to go my man just came and picked up that little forklift [Music] hot shot underscore mac with two c's instagram uh facebook and uh that's a hundred man i appreciate y'all so why not wait man i think i'll get on here hey y'all so i got this load on my trailer but i can't move i'm stuck right here out of the yard where i picked up this oversized load but i do not have a south carolina permit yet y'all let me know in the comments man do y'all usually wait to get the permits confirmed and you have them at hand before you you know go to pick up the load just off of the rate con or do y'all wait you know we've got the alabama mississippi and the georgia permits but not the south carolina yet it's supposed to come in a while back but i'm not sure what's going on so i'm stuck man can't move it's been a couple hours now got here at around 8 45 9 o'clock it is currently 1 30. unfortunately i'm just sitting here off duty just waiting i'll keep you guys updated finally got the permit man we got the permit we're hitting the road i'm out of here man i i can't even talk much bro i been i'm so delayed so i'ma see y'all soon and it's such a beautiful day today uh yeah i'm moving a little bit delayed but hey man it's the name of the game i got me a nice load on my trailer decent nice little rate per mile going down on the 85 going through georgia i think i'm taking a 20 across going through alabama mississippi my truck's clean man i can't complain man good morning y'all so it's the next day and um i got about three more hours left to make it to my drop-off location didn't do so great on driving man i got caught up in a lot of traffic coming through uh georgia i'm here at a valero parking man and i had to pay 15 i went to the loves was completely full didn't have too much more drive time so if you come by a valero man just know that you possibly gotta pay at least the one i'm at which is uh just getting into alabama see this is what i understand with these special routes with departments man i was on the 22 west i could have kept going my uh truck route on uh what's this app called uh truck path was telling me to continue on the 22 west all the way up uh to a state road and then down into mississippi but the special routing that the that the permit has has me going through these state roads which is you know more or less two-lane road speed limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 then back up i feel like that's more of a hazard man it's but you know going on these smaller lanes and i don't understand uh i don't understand the meaning behind it man like why why do they have me detour and go through this route but i don't know maybe somebody can you know hey if y'all know the reason behind is put it in the comments below man and let me know because i don't get it like why am i going through it why go through here if i go through these towns when i could have stayed on a highway kept up my 70 mile per hour speed limit and you know i felt more safe now i got stop lights and it doesn't make sense look at this bro why am i going through this town with a wide load what is the point man and then this is how they this is how they give me the route y'all can see that nothing telling me to go west north south alabama man i'm not happy with you but i made it to deliver this uh these cylinders about to hop out go checking at the office and uh there goes somebody right here so let me get out of here [Music] [Music] so what's up y'all so this is a rather easy uh run man the rods were good uh nothing too crazy we just got unloaded got my paperwork signed and i'm pretty much just gonna get uh cleaned up and get everything packed up and so forth they just dropped it over
