well here we are again at Skelton Junction as you can see here we have the main line it goes straight through then splits up so the left preacher we're going to whirring turn that's ELN WR and the CLC which goes to Claybrook you know your caddy said yep hits where the two lines split one to the left going to Warrington once Phaeton which is still the rails on caddy said so you find any more clues on this Warrington line that is aligned to Warrington Farmington in that direction I got a bit of close-up so you lose anything left on the line anywhere as you can see it's just a pure blockade no chance to get in through that very close for Timperley now give all the things in action piece of railway relic for you quantum line going over the british rail lines at simply leave the line because of the main lines well here is on the other side of that bridge and as you could see it's been dug out originally went here we at track bet I was hoping to show you a curve a curve that connected this line with a lower line we've totally been taken out totally been redeveloped and the big posh housing estate now on the side a you just feel things well there you go we have a dead end the natural barrier just after all this foliage is the canal I'll pick it up from the canal but this is where the railway used to cross over the canal that's the bridges out well you know what you turn that last shot the breach was out over the canal come to this lovely by don't go to Norway just goes all the way along to the bottom of the street and finishes but obviously it proved very useful for these industrial units there's now you see just kept a bit of the architecture so that big where the Vans turning now is where that fire got twas this roadway was the lay away and I'm literally on the location now of our first station Bradley's station where you can see the building across there it's ready used to be a good shed no more I'm afraid as I say this lovely bypass was the original railway route to Warrington well I just traveled about half a mile down the line basically like I said the line had become a road you had retail parks you out as though you had building estates and I finally managed to pick it up at this lovely location here this is the official site of the the trail that you can take if you want to go on your bike walk over the Y's I'd say I've travelled about a mile down the line and it's a pure straight line a through line as it were first pretty of the day going under right here we are at the first traceable station the location of Dunham's Massey is a fantastic structure right next to the road and the station was behind it that I said before we have the station and at the side of it we had three sidings this was the entrance to them sidings obviously of gentlemen bought it out and made it into a wonderful gardens himself but if you look inside you can see where the old cobbles were I think he had two sidings literally went over there say we didn't keep the track but yet this is a site of the Donna Murphy station sidings nicely located whose back garden it's a nice railway box all right look at the side that station some nice brickwork here hmm it's just the original platform very close if it was how it used a signal box here to complement that station but good-looking trait in that very picturesque I just say one very straight route this is where we pass over the river baleen apparently this is the border now between Manchester and Warrington so a leaving Manchester on our way to Warrington bring down the next station track is widening slightly here so I expect we're approaching our next station yet I'm sure this is the one of the platforms and you see that pretty quick there that's the edge right so the outside edge not the railway edge of the platform it goes all the way along it's nice and smooth obviously there's a lot of foliage been built on these since which certainly outlines it I'm sure I can see the station building ahead yep there's a bit more of that platform edging and as we spin round we have the station building still intact so this was Heatley and Warburton station currently over there where that big fence is is where the goods line used to go as I say two lines fed this yard and it was a busy railway station fantastic it looked like the platform edge is still intact as well excellent well done whoever fantastic and just when you think you've captured everything this little beauty comes up the other side of the station oh well done no edges no need to us what part of the station that used to be I think we've got the ladies and the gentlemen toilets on this side yep buildings still intact beautiful this is the disuse I'd find I hope somebody buys this and does something with it it's certainly worth it this was the original entrance very nice he's a frontal of that main building I'd say that was a station building he was a level crossing here and the main guy who controlled it was that who lived in that building I don't know whether this is Railway 5 but this is very close to where the yard was at the side so I say that was that second building the station must have place and it was a signal box here let's go to limb that's more trackside than the other structure so I'm at grush Green Road the style of these building in line with everything else that we've filmed today there's not stationed here our good platform all I could think this was the Crossing maybe you could do some research Alan and Philippine this was an old gatehouse they love the gatehouse here I'm ready slain and converted into a house that's what I'd like to see before you I'd take it there was a level crossing here and so we have a couple more miles down the line our next station this is the location of Lim station very ornate railway infrastructure is still intact well done so this is a truck side view there's what remains she's not a lot you surround some clues that they used to be railway here don't Lee the platform used to go all the way up there love life well and if you look deep enough you do find the clues you're looking for there's some of your platform making just a tiny bit though I think in about 1 meter length at the most so that's where the station was came all the way along here the bit of an island platform because they had some good sidings on the left and the right so where this cat Park here is is where the goods area was all right I'm at a location called Star Lanes in Lim Brown this old building on the side looks very Railway v that's what the building attached and here we have staid them crossing next to our line he's a nice relic from the past good old iron girder bridge there's a date on there I'll see what I can get it obviously slightly deviated I'd say that's 1866 fiebag on this is an a road just before the motorway apparently we've lost the railway now due to the expansion of the m6 currently they built round it didn't go through it well here we are at the m6 this was the original route of the railway which of the tunnel down there like to say we've gone round like we used to be a little gem there that somebody has acquired become poppies that's from the other side I'd say you would have gone straight on through a tunnel in the old days and now you go up and over that's where we're going next station is strafing off the wall yeah getting a bit more wrong now a bit more rugged I like this and so we come to cell wall station not a lot to see over this lovely building that's been restored Gangnam trees no signs of the platform's on either side whoops yep building still intact this is their wall station from the outside and the roadside this here's the station well done whoever built this estate deserve a medal very ornate on the top of this bridge let's go um latest which a bit more modern right adjacent to that modern bridge is this old bridge which is a lot lower apparently they used to be two lines here this is the original route which was funded then by the Manchester Ship Canal so they could go over there canal to allow their precious bolts to come through hence decided to build a gradient so this was the original route the majority of this route has been filled in with houses industrial estates where obviously there are still one or two clues left yeah it's an amazing stuck to this very typical 80 numbers not sure what they wouldn't been for par apparently the first track when that way through that help right so this is where we're going to loot a line I'm afraid we're going downhill now to the roadside the normal this high level would normally go along that line there and take you up to the Blatchford bridge the viaduct that is the bridge we're not allowed on whoops like have you said all over again lovely structure oh my god would you believe it there's a hole a hole to be crawled in I'm on a like Fred viaduct oh all the track is in 6u this is perfect wow this is a gold mine Hrbek CEO righto let's go on look at this this is fantastic infrastructure couldn't see on the cell wall viaduct an engineer's certainly knew what they were doing in their time they took many an average to build this not going down there I don't need a drawing for this this is fantastic via docks Suzumiya it does look generally intact it just needs tonight's a bit maintenance and you could have kept the line open British Rail being British Rail penny-pinchers that's the route back to Manchester again then locks and this is a route going back to Warrington give you a nice scenic view from this side as well this is my cheap version of a drone I can't make the bullying sounds I'm afraid so you'll just have to use your own imagination what here she is match foot all right let's get on with the rest of the trip well that first southland trip is just like a lovely railway walk that's been specially made up by the council's played-out tracks I've just seen with few few station remains now it becoming very what I call urbex lines that people haven't walked in years it's fantastic up here just beyond the viaduct I can see the track and it's tall ceilings it's you that's going to investigate so here we are on the other side as you can see the line is literally been abandoned unlike the Caddy's headline it's two lines here still in situ so they've they just shut the bridge and walked away mother nature slowly taking over that's that other line look like a bit dense up here wow this is getting challenging bring it up these are kids are having a bit of fun up here though let's keep going the sights still you see - but sleepers are down here and sporadic track hey them in everywhere yeah okay I'll leave that to us - come let's go I've not lost the track it's just hiding underneath all that foliage it's still there now look what was hiding in the sidings here we've got loads of tracks and we should be very close now - Lightford station I'm at the location of Rochford station afraid it's a no-no no sign of it at all you get some kind of clues but nothing sorry I keep looking I'm not looking back at the site of Lightfoot station and there's not a sign of it at all through all the in dense undergrowth not a thing to be seen destroyed so from the front of the station you get this fantastic view of a girder bridge that goes over the ship canal it's a road bridge as you can see on the side here there's also two arches these were for the lower level railway lines you can just see them imprinted there so the lower level before the ship came out with built this is the route originally took following this yard all the way along the river head until we went over where the viaduct is or just before as it were and so we make the final approaches towards the Warrington district hopefully seen more lines very shortly I can honestly say that's the hardest route I have done so far if I knew it was that bad I would have gone round like we're getting through the worst of it now through to the other side that a track is still intact and it looks a bit more passable you know what the hell I'm going through to bring you this wonderful production this is chaos but it's worth it I like finding new stuff this is chaos hopefully closer to Warrington now about mile an hour for dense overgrowth no chance of filming it's just pure pure overgrowth coming to this weird buffer stop let's see where it leads to as you can see very unused it looks like it does finally down to something useful a head looks like the partly used trucks anyway keep going that's where the other siding start that for the lower level do the upper level and we'll walk back the lower level where we trinket still in there six you let's make our way don't we just before that bridge ahead is where the first flow into the station used to be so as I said before this is the lower line the one that was built before the ship canal took over made it a lot higher and we have the upper line this was the main line that we all remember and like say straight ahead is Warrington so just come down to that lower line to inspect it this first line seen major use the other one use dish I'd say out the four lines going up and down that is this is the one that's used the most obviously just for a head shot to go around the corner any white rest I do [Music] right I am now at the site of Warrington's first railway station called Warrington will dispute this is where the train to Manchester originally terminated they had not built the bridge that goes over the river at this stage if this was a site to the first station go to walkways over there with no signs of any railway infrastructure at all totally obliterated obviously to expand to accommodate for all this Freight work came really here's an aerial shot of that first station the other side of that bridge I need to go the bridge that goes over the the waterway hopefully Warmington alpha station is just beyond this bridge this is location of Washington Apple II station these are just general offices to run alongside the original Warrington alpha station countly the local said he's behind me and he's no longer standing see if I can get you're shoving a clue here alright so there's a side the station yes this is a site the stabling point and where the engine shed water so you hear where it's all sandy that was the foundations for the engine shed is where I'm standing now it's just one track still in situ other than that it's all gone seventies eighties and nineties issues to be a major stabling point look at it now it's just a dead of the line that we just walked shame really so I'll leave you with a final shot looking at our police station and there you go we have the Warrington end of the line hope you enjoyed the trip and hopefully it's less painful next time you
