Living In Our Semi Truck For The Last 18 Years & Trucking 330 Days 🤯 Freight Market Is Bad

tell you what man this I love this family so much you guys love the goose and when we talk about American Trucking and people that really are about this lifestyle this is you guys you know so tell me at at the Florida Trucking show you know um it's glad for you to be in my neighborhood how you doing brother hey man it's good to see you you're I tell everybody you're adopted son uh you know I don't know if it's part three four 5 10 I don't know but we're always honored when mother trucker hey comes to us it's uh it's it's a great relationship we love you to death you know and I tell everybody out there you need to be part of this guy's program it's a good one so I appreciate that so much so the big thing is is for the people that don't know I mean how long you guys been in this truck and you guys live in this truck and you guys do your thing so tell me about that a little bit yeah just to touch base with everybody uh my name is Daniel snow this is my wife phis I have to go like this cuz she's so tiny yeah yeah so uh May 8th will make 44 years for me Trucking uh Phyllis is just hitting her 20e mark But then that's with a CDL she's driver and everything people have a hard time imagine that a smaller you a truck driver oh yeah I'm a professional driver that's right that's right and so I mean how many months do you guys actually live in this truck yeah we're on the road about 330 days a year so you live in this truck yeah so if we were going to be honest and say how many years you've lived in this truck how many years uh we've been working on this truck 18 years you guys been living in this truck and working with it for 18 years most of 18 years at the start we was you know uh we had a cattle ranch too so we was at home some feeding cattle but pretty much the most of the 18 we're actually coming on 19 years that we've own this truck wow just build it a piece at a time uh we're we're very fortunate to be here at the Florida truck show me people are so nice down here you know oh yeah they welcomed us with open arms it's uh it's been a very good privilege uh passed out quite a few Bibles and story books and we're just really thankful to benett Motor Express for uh getting us down here and uh backing us and taking care of us like they do they they're a wonderful company if you're looking for a company to go to work for you think about benett it's they're good I love that I love that you know you know we talked about this before you know the truck industry is very hard right now and so you need a company that might take care of you you know and so you know I believe in these folks man they're really good people so you know it's one of those things man check them out you know it seems like check Bennett out and you know they support my friends so if they support my friends then I support them so I love it brother we love you too man glad to see you always always yeah good thank you you're the bright spot of my morning man we love you today hey you know uh we got snow Trucking in the house we see that beautiful lady walking up those stairs over there and what we got in our hand brother it's just some of the Bibles that we put out on our table they're free for the taken and so yeah you come by right just one yeah one one part of our uh Mission work that we do and know Tinker Bell how are you guys today okay um people always want to see a little bit inside this truck real quick can we get a quick snippet is that worth it it's a little dirty but you it's a work truck though it it is a work truck if it don't work I don't eat and I like to [Laughter] eat the and then this is our companies for the Bennett that we're recing that's some of the companies they own [Music] yeah how many months are you guys on the road still these days oh more now four yes four months out of time no more more now yeah yeah we we were trying to make a living and oh man with the diesel and all the insurance going up and yeah it just we was not getting to go home at all so uh so out of this uh what what were we in April M so you haven't gone home yet one week one week that's Trucking yes that's Trucking right now that's Trucking it is really hard out there right now owner operators are really struggling and that's why we partnered her with but Bennett right now is because they're helping us and to help other truck drivers I love it what are the specs on this baby girl well it's a 1996 freight liner Classic XL the tractor is 351 in wheelbase uh it is a four axle tractor with a liftable tag uh the trailer is a 53 ft uh utility and when you put the two together it's about 85 ft long and uh it commands a little bit of real estate to get around but you know you either love this job or you don't so ain't that the truth you know there yeah no I was hearing for a second from Tinkerbell here that you guys have haven't been able to go home as much let's let's talk about the trucking industry and where we're at right now you know the freight is well everybody in trucking knows where the Freight's at and we've just been having to run and run and run I I put it to you like this a year and a half ago we could pay our monthly bills not counting Fuel and those variables but we could pay our monthly bills in about 14 15 days okay by Christmas of this past of 22 it was taken right at 30 to 32 days to pay our monthly bills so you're got to work two extra days yeah and where you going to find them right because it's 32 days now and they're not 32 days in a month well as of this past month it took 37 days to pay one month bills it's just a constant Decline and the survival mode is what I'm hearing that's that's what we are we're strictly in survival mode and but we we see God takes care of us you know we uh we don't know how he's going to sometimes but if we give him the range it's kind of like an old horse I used to have I used to run a lot of cattle and use a horse and that horse if you tried to make it go somewhere it was the last place it wanted to go but if you would give him his head that horse would take you to the cattle he would cut the cattle he would work the cattle cuz he thought you know he was in charge well God the same way only he is in charge okay there's no if Ander buts about it but if we give him our his head if we give him the lead he will lead us where he wants [Music] us [Music] [Applause]
