look at these LeMans 1979 got some damage here this boat did ride out hurricane Ian here in Fort Meers moving at access to the stern here easy in and out when you're at the helm brackish water got some freshwater muscles there growing some barnacles pretty cool boat cleat pretty big all right guys we're down here in Fort Myers Florida right off the clache river at Sunset Marina and going to look at a 4ot double cabin Marine Trader 1979 it's an older boat obviously it's got a little uh needs a little TLC but you know it's going to be a good little project boat for somebody live boards here it is $30 a foot so you're looking at 1,200 bucks foot uh 1,200 bucks a month but you know you do have access to the pool they're building a gym nice amenities it's getting expensive guys even to live on the water unless you want to just go drop anchor and live off the hook but this boat is priced at $225,000 and you know you're not going to find a lot of boats for 25 Grand I think there's a lot here but let's see let's check out the condition and diamond in the rough all right guys well here she is the G owner did say the exterior was in desperate need of some work and at first glance I would agree got all the decks ripped up that's good got them off just need to nonskid it I mean that's really the easy part actually and she said it doesn't leak so as bad as that looks it's not that bad got some damage here this boat did ride out hurricane Ian here in Fort Meyers and Fort Meers was hit as bad as anywhere however she said the boat did fine the dock got tore up the boat did well but then it did get subsequent damage when it was used as a crossover basically another boat owner tied off to it and used it as a bridge to get back and forth to their boat and that's when she said all of this got torn up and the swim platform as well let's hop on board all right let's climb aboard got nice wide side decks as I said te decking has all been removed see there's any soft spots doesn't feel too soft anywhere there actually there's a little bit of a soft spot right here um yeah a lot of wood on this boat and it all needs to be redone you know you could just sand it down and paint it with an epoxy or you could just give it a sanding and and oil it leave it weathered but there's definitely some repairs that need to be made on the cap rail this whole section got beit up pretty bad J Cod green doesn't look too bad really except for that damaged area nice big Samson post got the windless rusted out chain [Music] 33 lb claw anchor looks like the brow here on the bridge at one point in time had a lot of repair work done I'm not sure if the whole thing started to separate this this runs the entire length and they just didn't finish it out properly so top side's definitely been painted she's a project boat a good bath would go a long way but she said no leakage so we'll get inside and take a look that's one thing these boats are notorious for is window leaking and this back hatch tends to leak a lot access is directly in to the master State room okay there's the swim platform damage know there's a lot of things you could do to this boat and there's a lot of things you could cut out if you were just looking for an inexpensive Li board which is what somebody who might want this boat is is looking to do you could just remove that and just have half the swim platform what's her name Spellbound hails out of Alita Virginia long way from home let's pop open this back hatch see what we got man that is a deep lazarette big old propeller couple more anchors man I hate to say it but I mean that's just a rusty mess down there but uh yeah H there was a leak there it previous owner patched and didn't take much care to tape off the window I'd say okay let's hop up onto the bridge fly bridge area nice spacious area got to see more of that fiberglass repaired at the bottom we got good visibility up here so the current owner she's never taken the boat out she bought the boat she found the boat for a good price and was able to move aboard and she was living aboard that was the whole point of buying it she wasn't buying it to do the loop or sail around the world or anything so she's never taken the boat out says the engines do fire up but never been used so all the decking just needs to be sanded down and Reon skitted somebody non skitted here you can see they just painted over it with some kind of epoxy but all needs to be done again she's a project a lot of boat here though a lot of boat nice big aluminum top this door is slides open easy enough anyway all right let's step inside it's a lot better feeling here she's got it nice and clean got the par flooring these Marine Traders are loaded with wood wood wood wood got a little fridge nice counter space here in the galley Little Oven cabinets open very smoothly let do the drawers plenty of Storage Outlet here for the burner coffee pot ni L nice counter space okay you can see there used to be some water damage that's for sure which is expected on all of these boats nice Side Access nice starboard deck door easy in and out when you're at the helm 4,000 hours on the Dual LeMans take a look at those in a little bit more storage Marine Trader out of bayhead New Jersey nice big Galley Salon combination room here nothing in the way have a table in the center if you want you got like a little corner desk here but plenty of room as stated it's the double cabin we've got the AF Master State room and the forward BB birth let's go to forward first you know for the age these doors everything slides nice and smoothly we got our electrical panel little dark down here sorry guys forgot my flashlight but a little musty smell in this Ford State Room haven't smelled that anywhere else but see some stains there previous leaks but she said she's all dried up now there's the [Music] hatch good size wet head in [Music] here let's check the storage [Music] that's good get the tool paper tucked away see hot water heater works fine AC works fine nice big hanging Locker it's been opened up the back's been stripped out for easy access to the helm electrical panels that linkage for the [Music] steering plenty of storage let's check the anchor Box's all your chain and [Music] road we got a little little little L do under here this front front uh speedir needs to be deep cleaned and checked for leaks here's your windless control all right moving at [Music] Master State Room nice big room put some kind of paneling on here I like the ceiling nice wood beams [Music] door missing here here's the AC duck work just the master head got some leaking coming in from the deck there running into the shower it needs to be addressed lots of more storage [Music] drawers big anchor another big Locker hanging Locker here we have access to the stern here this nice little rack for hanging your car clothes on let's open up these uh let's open the floor up and take a look at the engines all right I got the floor opened up let's climb down in here and take a look at these LeMans 1979 original Firehouse red Belly of the Beast look at this beast that's a generator there engine room could use a good detail lot of batteries I think she said it's going to need some batteries as well one two three four five six seven eight batteries lot of sludge down there transmission pretty corroded [Music] Pig own in generator well for 44 years she's she's been ticking a long time be better if we only had a single screw and half the problems to deal with but she's a twin engine so there's going to be a lot of Maintenance and a lot of work putting these things back together making them seaworthy all right guys now for a continual walk through [Music] he [Applause] [Music] a [Music] I [Music] let's go down here and see if we can take a look at the bottom a little bit at least last scraped in October so it's definitely due this is a brackish water got some freshwat muscles there growing some barnacles see the paint wearing through right there on the corner a little bit she's probably going to need a bottom job
