Live PD: Stay Off My Lawn! (Season 3) | A&E

- So we're pulling up to the area of one of the city parks. Reporting party stated that two males were hiding in their backyard, and they stated that somebody was running after them or after them trying to stab them, or assault them with a knife of some sort. So we're going to try to locate them and see what the story is. S1 description again? - I think that's them over there, and they're sitting down. [tense music] - What's up guys? - What's up? - Were you guys hiding in somebody's backyard over here? - Huh? - Were you in somebody's backyard over here on John Street. - I wasn't involved. - You weren't involved. I know you aren't, Troy. - Can I just walk away. - Hang on a second, Troy. Actually why don't you go talk to Officer Mohler right there. - I'm just going to stay right here. - All right. So what happened? - No, because this dude was bugging-- this dude over there. - Who's that? - We was walking by, and he was like, get off my property. And he started chasing after us so we ran in the dude's backyard. - Over here? What started it? Why did he come out? - There was a house right near him and I was just looking at it. And then the girl to the right, she asked me what I was doing. I said I was looking at the house, and she said OK. She said if you have someone that wants to buy it just have them call the number. - You were looking at the house because it was for sale? - Yeah, I was just looking. - You in the market? - I was standing right on the street. - And then we see him with a weapon, so we started, like, running towards this way. And then as soon as he sees us running he got in his car and started to, like, chase after us. - So you did see a weapon? - He pulled out something big. - Like a pipe or a knife or? - I don't know. - It could've been a baseball bat. - I didn't see. I was kind of far away. - And it was just big. - Did you guys, like, mouth off at him? - Nothing. - No? - Literally said nothing to him. - Nothing to him. - So if this is the person I'm thinking it is, I've dealt with him before, with something similar where he had some kind of road rage incident. The other person involved said he brandished a knife. [tense music] One, you can put myself and five out with that vehicle. [police radio chatter] What happened today? - Somebody came by vandalizing my property. They come by and they peek in. They grab something off my lawn, then start [inaudible] illegally, then they start booking. - What did they grab off your lawn? - A spike that I had built. - A spike? - A wooden spike, and they start booking. They just ran. - Take that. Did you smoke any weed in the car today? - Oh, no. - No? Is there any weed in the car? Because it's kind of a strong smell. - I know it smells like it. - Just do me a favor and hop out real quick. - Yeah, I know. - Do you have anything on you you're not supposed to have. Don't reach in your pocket. No, don't reach for that. - I'm not reading. - Bring your hand up to the top of your head. Top of your head. Yeah, put that right on the seat there for you. Just come over here for me. I'm going to have you sit in my car. Right over here, come on, have a seat. Kick your feet in. - Really? You're going to put me in the back of this thing again? - Yes. It's a fresh beer right there done under the seat, a little bit of roach right in the back seat, not a big deal. The seat's all wet. It's nasty. It's probably all just stale beer. [police radio chatter] That's disgusting. so His license was confirmed suspended in Rhode Island, so someone's going to tow the car, give him a summons to appear at a later date for the suspended license. And probably just give him a warning about the issue with the kids. You know, you can't be running after kids with whatever type of weapon he had. The kids weren't able to identify it, so that's it for now.
